Never again

Never again. I am having problems with freelancers which deliver poor quality 2 and wasted my time, did not meet the deadline, always delayed deadline. I promptly paid and paid service fee, now when I complain customer service wrote to me that there is clear followed up by freelancer due to order that he met what was set in the order. But there is clear violation. They wont cancel my order so I lost money and time. Dont use this service if you care about quality and your time. Such a waste of time with amateurs.

Bogus site that will rip you off

Bogus site that will rip you off! I received an email to my gmail account, posing as a recruiter from a reputable healthcare company. She saw that my LinkedIn account said "Open to work" and asked me if I was interested in this company. I said yes. She then directed me to "Fiverr" site to work with a "resume specialist to put my resume in ATS standard format." It sounded weird but I created a Fiverr sign in and joined a chat. The "resume specialist" asked me for my resume, which I attached, then asked me "What's your budget?" What???? I went back to the email and told the "recruiter" that I was uncomfortable with this. She replied, "I wish you could see this as an investment and an opportunity." I reported her email to Gmail as a phishing attempt. This Fiverr site is a scam! Avoid!

Absolutely worst decision for my business. Hired a freelancer to create and post on Instagram. Got sued for copyright infringement resulting in legal fees that nearly destroyed my business. Fiverr provided zero assistance in navigating the issue. Stay away.

90 Days Passed – Still No Access to My Funds

I am extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled.

My Fiverr account was closed because, according to them, there was a violation. The issue happened when I had just created my account and my brother purchased my highest VIP service to support and encourage me. He paid directly through the Fiverr platform like any normal customer.

I still do not understand where the “fraud” is in this situation. The payment was made on the platform, using Fiverr’s own system.

Despite this, my account was closed. I was informed that after a 90-day holding period, I would receive a withdrawal link to recover my funds.

The 90 days have already passed, and I have not received any link or instructions to withdraw my money.

I have contacted support multiple times, but I only receive automated template responses that do not address my case. No clear explanation. No real assistance. No resolution.

I am not asking to reopen my account. I am simply asking to recover the funds that legally belong to me, as promised.

I hope Fiverr escalates this case to a real human representative and resolves this issue promptly.

Losing active users each month. The platform is experiencing a surplus of sellers and a shortage of active buyers. From a buyer's perspective, the transaction fees seem excessive.

Awful site full of scammers using AI…

Awful site full of scammers using AI which Fiverr actually ENCOURAGES. I paid for a logo design and the guys portfolio were all good looking unique logos clearly designed by a human. I paid for him to make my logo and received a garbled AI generated one with broken text etc.

I reached out to fiverr support and they said "Fiverr allows freelancers to use AI tools to support and enhance their work, just like other professional tools such as Photoshop or AutoCAD, as long as the final result reflects meaningful human input, creativity, and professional judgment.

In this case, the delivery appears to be customized to your initial requirements and consistent with the freelancer’s style. It meets Fiverr’s standards for quality and originality.

Unless AI usage was explicitly ruled out at the start of the order, it isn’t considered grounds for cancellation. That said, if you’re not fully happy with the delivery, I’d recommend sharing your feedback with the freelancer so they can make any needed changes. If you need me to reach out to them on your behalf, I’d be happy to!"

Reaching out to the freelancer for a revision costs extra money. And why would I do that when they are obviously just using AI, I dont want an AI revised image I want a logo from an actual designer. What a joke of a website.

I have been waiting for 6 months for my withdrawal to process. I contacted customer support more than 7 times, but they keep telling me to contact Payoneer. My Payoneer account is permanently banned, and I clearly explained this. I requested Fiverr to remove the old withdrawal method so I can add a new one, but they are not resolving the issue. Very disappointing support experience.🥲

6 Years Seller Account Restricted Without Clear Explanation – No Fair Human Review

Ticket ID: #14314194

I joined Fiverr in 2019. For six years, I worked professionally, delivered structured milestone-based projects, handled revisions responsibly, and paid 20% commission on every order. We accept this high commission believing the platform provides fairness and balanced protection.

Recently, I experienced a situation that destroyed that trust.

A client ordered a large project worth around $6,000, divided into milestones. Milestone 1 and Milestone 2 were completed successfully. The website was fully functional, live-tested, and aligned with the agreed scope. I provided unlimited revisions and ensured five-star quality delivery.

The issue began when the client started demanding additional features outside the agreed scope without placing extra orders. I politely explained that extra work requires extra payment. After that, the client began applying pressure and directly threatened me — saying he would leave a one-star review, damage my profile, and report me to Fiverr to get my account disabled.

Despite receiving a fully working website, he left a one-star review.

I arranged a Zoom meeting and asked him clearly: if the website is complete and working properly, what justifies a one-star rating? I explained that if there were bugs or incomplete work, negative feedback would be understandable — but using ratings to force unpaid extra work is unfair.

That conversation was recorded and later used against me. Instead of reviewing the full context, Fiverr issued me a violation.

I then completed and delivered Milestone 3. The client kept sending vague revision requests without specifying real technical issues. At one point he even wrote “don’t scam me,” while the website was live and testable. I continued delivering professionally.

After that, I received another violation claiming incomplete delivery — even though all milestones were completed, documented, and the live server link was shared.

Then Fiverr issued a 60-day suspension notice stating my account would be permanently disabled.

The situation escalated further:

• Milestone 2 (already completed and paid) was reversed
• Milestone 3 was cancelled
• My account balance was placed in negative
• My profile was disabled
• My gigs were denied

The two cancelled milestones were over $2,187 each, pushing my account into a significant negative balance.

I opened multiple support tickets and provided detailed documentation, milestone breakdowns, and live website proof showing the work was 100% completed. Each time, my tickets were closed with “decision final” responses without transparent explanation or meaningful investigation.

As sellers, we cannot respond strongly to threats without receiving violations. Yet when a client pressures, threatens, leaves damaging reviews, repeatedly contacts support, and attempts refunds after completed work, meaningful seller protection feels absent.

Buyers pay around 5%. Sellers pay 20%.
Yet in my experience, protection did not feel balanced.

I was penalized for delivering completed work.
Completed milestones were cancelled.
My balance was made negative.
My six-year profile was disabled.

For full transparency: I have complete documentation, milestone records, and a live website proving the project was completed. I am fully prepared to provide all evidence if a fair review is conducted.

I am simply asking for justice — restoration of my profile if possible, and release of funds for completed work.

Six years of dedication ended without transparent communication. A marketplace built on professionals should protect them with the same seriousness that it charges them.

I hope Fiverr improves its dispute handling and seller protection policies — because trust requires accountability on both sides.

SELLERS - RUN!!

As an individual seller on this platform for many years, I have to say that my appreciation of it has never gone up, but instead gone down. We are treated like slaves. They introduce systems to trample upon us at every turn, like the success score! They introduce new ways of eating into our income; for example, if you use the Seller's Plus program and happen to upgrade to Premium, they charge you extra money on top of the Premium cost! In order to get seen, you have to pay for ads, and they won't show your gigs to enough people to cover the costs of this! Additionally they take 20% of your earnings. So, any sellers thinking of joining, please rather go with the other freelancer sites. This company doesn't care about us at all.

Banned for no reason, ignored by support – your fees don't buy you any consideration

I got banned simply for asking several freelancers whether they could build a WordPress website. Apparently, comparing skills before placing an order is a violation on Fiverr. I checked their terms of service thoroughly: nothing prohibits this.

But the worst part is what followed. I contacted support to understand why. They replied with a generic copy-paste response that didn't even match my situation. I corrected them and explained. Then, nothing. Weeks of silence. Until one day, they simply told me they were closing my ticket and suggested I look for answers in their FAQ. No apology, no explanation, no accountability whatsoever.

Fiverr has no problem collecting its fees on every transaction. But being accountable to the people who keep the platform running? That's clearly not part of the service. Users are disposable: they'll ban you whenever it suits them, and if you dare ask why, they'll ignore you until you give up. Stay away if you want to be treated as anything more than a number.

Fiverr Profits from Freelancers' Hopes with Clunky Platform & No Refunds

I tried Fiverr as a video editor seeking extra income, but it's a waste of time and money. The "Pro" subscription (15€) gave zero value—no clients, no impressions in a saturated market. Canceling is buried in obscure menus; good luck finding it without frustration.

Key issues:
Fake promises: Pushes "get rich freelancing" webinars and subs, but top gigs have 200+ reviews yet low earnings. It's oversaturated with cheap competition.
No refunds: 48-hour policy is strict, even for unused subs.
Clunky UX: Menus are a maze; subscriptions auto-renew sneakily.

Fiverr makes millions from desperate hustlers while delivering little. On top of that your inbox will be FILLED with scammers trying to send you phishing links. Avoid unless you love paywalls. 1/5 stars.

Scammed but helped out.

I love this website. I have worked with some legit freelancers and to be honest I think people come here to get things cheap, but that being they do not do enough to check for scammers. BUT... I went full scorched earth on their AI chat bot and I got my money back. So I am totally keen to keep doing business with them. Look for channels that new, with no reviews, look for all that. But either way. I was terrible and they gave my money back. We are good now. I am going to keep using Fiverr.
