Great piece of kit

Great piece of kit. Ideal for small business owners such as myself as, at time of writing, way cheaper than solutions offered by commercial banks.
Extremely easy to set-up, payments are in the bank approx 48-72hrs post-sale.
In 6 months of use there was one minor blip...due to a technical issue with their systems there was a slight delay on one transaction reaching my account but they sent me an email explaining the issue, apologising & providing a resolution timescale...which was achieved...so couldn't ask for anything more, great comms.

£2,500 never reached my bank account and Izettle refused any responsibility

£2.500 never reached my bank account, Izettle refused any responsibility and no one could defend me because they are not UK regulated.
Someone used my email to send them a message saying that I want to change my password and then my BANK ACCOUNT. Izettle without any verification process and without notifying me, went on and changed all that and sent my money to the thieves.
I called everyone I could, I spoke with people in Sweden where the company is based, wrote emails but nothing. This massive operation which is fed by money we make working so hard, all of us small businesses, refused any responsibility and refused to refund me.
As if it was my fault that their security was breached.

A very handy piece of kit

The i-Zettle took a while to set up, but only because my husband and I are not at all tech savvy. Once it was up and running, we did some practice sales with my husbands bank card. Then I practiced refunds! (even easier...). At the Open Studio event I was only required to use the i-Zettle once, but it was simple and straight forward and nothing went wrong. It's a very handy piece of kit for art fairs and open studios etc.

I purchased the Izettle based on…recommenations

I purchased the Izettle based on recommendations, however, it's not particularly time and cost effective. It takes a long time to connect to my tablet and on occasions I have lost customers who have said they will go to get cash from the nearest card machine. My tablet will load the transaction but the Izettle unit won't recognise it and I have to turn it off and back on again. I hope it gets better by Christmas!!

Hi Ria, sorry to hear about your trouble. We would recommend calling our support to troubleshoot the Reader as the transactions should be recognised when you enter them in the app.

I've had an iZettle for my new business for around a couple of months now and it's been amazing!

Can't fault it, the pos system is really good and the transactions and bank deposits have always run really smoothly!

Repeat pay feature amazing

With an iPhone 5S or later, you can use the amazing “Repeat Pay” feature which lets people pay a fixed amount while you work undisturbed. The iZettle device allows this while their competitors devices need you to press for every payment making concentration on performance impossible

Excellent machine, highly recommend

After reading many reviews, I bought the iZettle credit card machine a few months ago. As a small business it has been so helpful, especially for my clients who are unable to pay me in cash, and I don't like accepting cheques as I hardly ever get to the bank. This machine is small, making it incredibly convenient to put in my bag and take with me. It connects to the mobile phone and is so easy to use. My payments are in my bank within 1-2 days and they send an email to confirm when money has been deposited. Their cost is small, making it ideal for tiny businesses like mine. High recommend!

Very happy with mine

Very happy with mine. Arrived quickly, easy to set up with the app. Can record cash takings as well as take card payments. Money in my bank within 2 working days. Thursday to Sunday transactions usually in on the Monday.

Started out really well with this card…

Started out really well with this card payment machine. But now the connection between my tablet and the card reader keeps dropping out and taking ages to reconnect. I often need to log out and back in again to get it to connect. This can be quite frustrating and embarrassing when I have customers waiting. I would recommend this over the Paypal reader though as it's a lot cheaper on the fees!

Great little payment tool

I have been using iZettle for almost 6 months now, not very often only one day a week for a number of transactions, but so far I am very satisfied, Its a very useful little tool, easy to use, very straightforward, battery holds well, as I am not using it very often, I only have to charge it once in a while. I probably use only the basic tools i.e. payments, more is available, this is ok for now for me, as I build my business up. If I had to pick something for improvement - it takes 5 days for the payment to go through to my account which is a little ridiculous and inconvenient in today's super digital efficient day and age. Thank you

I tried 2 other card readers before this one but they didn't work. This one has been excellent. Connects quickly to my phone, no problems taking contactless or chip and PIN payments. Great for my driving school business.

We are very pleased with the izettle 2 card reader, it is so easy to use. Also the back up service is great.

Overall i'm happy

Overall i'm happy, annoyingly sometimes it decides it doesn't want to connect, or it connects then disconnects straight away. Try to close all other active Bluetooth connections this does seem to help as my phone is usually linked to my health band and my handsfree headset.
