Atrocious Service in Every Respect.

Quite possibly the worst bookseller I have ever encountered, even worse than GreatBookPricesUK.
Terrible dispatch times, obviously a drop-shipper/bookjacker with no physical inventory and extravagantly inflated postage costs which certainly do not represent the eternity it took for items to actually arrive.
I would very much caution against ordering from this company under any circumstances.

Revaluation Books (Langton Distribution)

I purchased a book via AbeBooks with Revaluation Books (aka Langton Distribution) and experienced the worst customer service I have ever known. Despite the AbeBooks order page stating that the book had been dispatched, based on the Langton page it actually still had not been dispatched two days after the order. I inquired with Langton as to what was going on and was told that the book would not ship for another week -- even though the AbeBooks page stated that shipping would occur within 2-5 business days.

When I mentioned that, if the book was late, I might seek a refund of the shipping costs (which were £6.99 for priority delivery!), Edward at Langton asked if I wanted my order cancelled. I said that I didn't as it was for a birthday present, so just wanted to get the item asap. He then proceeded to cancel the order anyway, making up an excuse that the book wasn't available (when, based on his emails, it clearly was). He lied on the AbeBooks cancellation form that this was the case too.

I am appalled that such a seller is allowed to trade on AbeBooks and have complained to them accordingly. Revaluation Books (aka Langton) should be avoided.

Langtoninfo - Revaluation Books

On two occasions, recently, I have ordered 'as new' books from Revaluation Books, the Abebooks user name for Langtoninfo. On both occasions the books arrived in excellent condition, well packed, and delivered by UPS. Great service all round.

NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCAMMERS!

Ordered corn poppy red ink from montblanc, they had it listed as a black, on questioning they said they updated their site. Received modern red, not the same thing! Paid $70 for the limited edition, received the $26 non limited edition ink. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE FRAUDULENT SCAMMERS!

I read the reviews after I bought from this company and I was fully expecting an awful experience. I bought a book from them through onbuy so when I checked that the order was okay the langtoninfo people got straight back to me to check I wanted it because it was a French translation. This was an error on my part and I received a refund within 48hrs. I have to say I was impressed by their customer service.

These are scammers

These are scammers - be aware! I bought a book which I needed for my course, for the lowest price I could find (still not that cheap!). They then got back to me to say they had sold that particular book, but that I could find the same book on their website - it turns out they were right, but for FIVE times the original price!!!! ????? What??? Are you having a laugh? Who do you think I am? Santa Claus? As I was trying to buy through Abebooks, they themselves were making excuses for this company and didn't want to know. So much for caring for your customers....

Miniature Bible Rip-off

Miniature Bibles. I like to give these to Christian Education students in primary schools. The eBay item offered a "Pack of 50 (25 red and 25 dark green)" for $20.90 (the price on this item changes frequently).
When the delivery arrived it was just 1 miniature Bible.
I complained and they offered a refund if I returned the item.
The wording of their eBay offering was misleading and unacceptable, resulting in a complete waste of my time.
I can only suggest that eBay users steer clear of Langton Distribution trading as roxy*books.

Langtoninfo in my experience do not deliver. Instead they tell you to check with other members of your household or your local Royal Mail Office without providing proof they have delivered your item. I am still waiting for my purchase to be delivered to me.

book 4 sale on amazon

I hold the copyright 4 my book and I never authorized this company to sell my work. Now they have it listed at double the price listed on the ISBN.
This is terrible and a breach of confidentiality to my work.

UNETHICAL SELLER

Shipped wrong item (wrong color); won't send shipping label for return--would cost me $50. Will not respond to inquiries. Unethical seller.

Unethical. Just don't go there.

Made an order. Took my money. Told me it was shipped. Contacted me well over 2 weeks later with what appeared to an automated message saying it was out of stock and they can't find it from any of their suppliers after which they readvertised the item at a heavily inflated price. Seems strange that one minute they couldn't get the item and then the next day they're selling the exact same thing at a higher price.

Oh, and they asked me not to give them negative feedback and rather to email them to resolve the matter. So i emailed them. 4 times. No response.

So well done Langton and Roxy Books. Never have written a bad review about a seller before and you're the first.

Lessons from this experience:
* Always read reviews before purchasing.
* Advise friends and family of the experience.
* Encourage ebay to lift their standards and crack down on this sort of unethical conduct.

Langton Distribution aka thieves

Did some quick Christmas shopping through Amazon and received a $75 shipping charge on a $5 item and they would not accept a return. Shady, unethical, dishonest, thieves are the words I'd use to describe Langton distribution! Dont walk, run away from this company. They will rob you blind. Do business with a reputable company and save yourself the hassle.

Really helpful!

I wanted to add my opinion on here as there are so many bad reviews - I had a great experience with Langtoninfo on eBAY. Needed to cancel my order suddenly and they were a great help in this matter. Thanks so much!

Rubbish company, rubbish business model

Same experience as others. Ordered a book that was 'in stock'. Nothing. Chased and got email to say it was out of stock. Few days later, got another email to say they'd sourced another, more expensive, copy. Ordered. Chased and got email to say it was out of stock.

Shan't use them again

Ordered via Amazon sellers

Ordered a book from Amazon sellers, Langton happened to be the vendor. Within a 12 hour period, I receive 2 emails. The first indicating the book was out of stock, then the second stating they had 3 in stock. Guess what? At triple the price of the original. Will never order from this vendor again.

makes ebay look bad!

- bought 10 router bits from these people.
- 8 of them broke within 3 to 4 hours of first use
- sent photos of failures to Langtoninfo
- their response was 'sorry but you're outside the returns period' and refused to help - truly they don't care!

Embarrassment of amazon

-Ordered an item off amazon, they sent the wrong item. (they sent a rubber ice cube tray)
-Told me to open package provide photos and included printed version of email conversation between us and to return item as "refused"
-post office said I can't claim "refused" since package was opened (as per their request)
-I paid for the return shipping ($45) off the original item of ($33) and sent them back an email with the copy of the receipts
-company refuses to pay for shipping return cost and refuses to claim responsibility for their mistakes.
-because their employees made a mistake and they wont do the right thing Im out an extra $45 for shipping when the original item was only $33
-clearly I'm not the only one dealing with this terrible company, amazon needs to cut their ties with them
