Absolute grifters
Absolute grifters - zero ability to influence anyone - ENTIRELY funded by opticians seeking to avoid court cases. They are a customer sales team at best, at worst a bunch of SCABS working for the companies who are ripping you off.
While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

It is true that forms have to be filled in to give your permission for them to access your details from the company. This is a must, and takes very little time. I do agree that the process is very slow and I was constantly asking if there was any progress as I hadn't heard from them. Much of the delay though was the opticians not getting back to the OCCS, so they really had nothing to update me with.
Having said all of that, I am absolutely delighted with their service, and the outcome was brilliant, so much more than I could have hoped for. There seemed to be no-one else I could ask but the OCCS, to try and help me with my case. My own efforts with the opticians came to nothing and I just felt angry and helpless. Yes, it was a slow process but we got there in the end. Very happy result. Thank you OCCS.
This body has no teeth, want you to fill out numerous forms, are slow to act and provide poor service administratively. I have given up in the end which you cant help feeling is an optimum outcome for them, do they get funded by opticians?? Waste of my time in the end.
Poor service. No actual mediation involved in my case - they just forwarded a letter from the optician to me. The only contact they had with me was having me sign a consent form so they could access my data - I was not contacted to discuss my concerns. Whatever 'mediation techniques' they used didn't involve me! I do not understand why they even accepted my complaint if they weren't going to deal with it properly.
