Unlawful withholding of funds and total lack of transparency
On March 26th, Paysafe permanently closed my account citing vague "security reasons" without any specific explanation. While the company has the right to manage its internal risk, it has no legal right to misappropriate my capital.
My account currently holds a balance of €100.01. Despite being informed that the remaining funds would be transferred to my bank account, there has been absolutely no progress. My money remains trapped in a locked account that I cannot access, which constitutes an unlawful withholding of personal property.
Be advised that I will not tolerate further delays. If the full amount is not credited to my bank account immediately, I will escalate this matter by filing formal complaints with:
The Financial Ombudsman.
The Bank of Greece (Regulatory Authority).
The European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net).
Your refusal to release my own funds is a direct breach of the Payment Services Directive (PSD2) and the core principles of financial transparency. Return my money immediately.

Stay away from this credit card processor. They will try to lure you into applying without clear explanation of the fees, then charge your bank account for various fees immediately. It will take hours and hours to get a hold of someone to close the account, and there is no one to ring to refund unauthorized fees. The worse experience.

They block your account in order to upgrade it. You submit everything needed, but there is no answer and in the meantime you cannot use the purchased vouchers.

"Total lack of coordination between Skrill and PaysafeCard regarding a confirmed theft. One entity admits the hack, the other refuses to refund, creating a loop of denial. 3/5/26 paysafe deducted my account for a amount that i have never even received and said it was for a REFUND. PUT my account in the negative and does not have a support team to take care of this asap.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. STAY AWAY.
This place gets worse and worse.
Feb 9th i ran 4 transactions totaling 17k. They deposited $4300 a couple days after. They put me in high risk and held over $13k. They needed more information about my business they said, I sent them everything they asked for. After going back and forth for a week they say they will not be my processor anymore and still holding the 13k. They will not refund the 13k or send me the 13k. So they end up closing my account and "refunding" the 13k, March the 5th they withdraw $4800 out of my account. The $4300 they deposited to my account plus $500 for "refunding" the 13k that they were holding.
Next, So a day before they close my account. My employee rand a charge for $5k. They are still holding it, will noy return to my customer or send me the money. The payment came straight out of my customers account bc it was debit. Now paysafe is saying I have to wait 180 days to get the 5k bc its at risk. They will not reactivate my account to "refund" my customer or anything. So needles to say they sat on 14k for a month and now they are holding another 5k for however long they want.
This company is not United States based. Horrible customer service and they are partnered with a highly recommended vendor called National Bank Card. I have contacted national bank card numerous times and they will not help either.

The front page of PaySafeCard's website has a banner listing all their merchants, and first merchant on that banner is Asda.
But Asda haven't heard of PaySafe, you can't spend your credit there - clear, obvious mis-selling.
So I try to make a complaint and get a refund. The Bot is hopeless. You can fill in a complaint form (though there is no category for mis-selling, I'll just ignore that) but it requires an email address for "verification of identity" which flies in the face of the anonymity the company sells its product on.
So that's two counts of mis-selling - participating merchants and anonymity. Plus crap customer service and dubious possibility I will get my money back.

PAYSAFE DOESN'T LIKE TO PAY BUSINESS THE BATCHES WE COLLECT AT THE END OF THE DAY AND LIKES TO HOLD THE FUNDS. THEY DON'T EVER PICK UP YOUR CALL AND JUST KEEPS TRANSFERING YOU TO DIFFERENT PEOPLE. THEY PUT YOU IN COLLECTIONS DUE TO A PENDING DISPUTE ON A CHARGE BACK.

I had canceled their account because of their high fees back in March 2025. I sent in the equipment as I was instructed and they said my account would be canceled. I thought I was being charged fees from the new company I signed up with, and I started doing some digging, and realized that Paysafe was still charging me fees twice a month. So, I had to had my bank help me figure out where those fees were coming from, because I could not figure it out on my own. I finally figured out it was from paysafe. I had to pay the bank a fee to block them from charging my account. I have been dealing with them since November 2025, and I keep getting the run around. They owe me $2500 and the representative, that I had been working with and doing business with Paysafe for the last probably 14 years, has been helping me , but unfortunately , i'm not a priority because I am not a customer anymore. So I have reached out to pay safe.Personally , I would say about a dozen times now, and I keep getting the runaround. They give me a new case number every single time I make a phone call and I have to re-explain the situation every single time and they say that somebody will get back to me within five business days , 48 hours, within the next ten business days , &nobody gets back to me! So here I am writing a bad review. I would never do business with them again. I will tell everybody I can to not do business with this company. And I will not only put a rating on the Better Business Bureau, which is flooded with complaints, even though they have an a plus rating, they must buy their rating from them, because I do know for a fact that when the Better Business Bureau approaches someone to be on there List you have to purchase the rating. And I will be contacting the attorney general to do an investigation. Last week, the representative I have been working with made me aware that they were going to give me 3 months of a refund.When i'm owed ten months. His comment was "hey , at least it's something , but i'm still working on them" their fees totaled monthly $250 a month. So I was expecting to see $750 , and they only refunded me $300 out of the $2500 that they owe me. Horrible!

Hello, I'm Vilson Xhangoli.And I used paysafe card for online payments and shops or cafes it didn't work well there were always problems and as soon as I put in cash twice for 25 € they blocked my paysafe account And they asked me for some data, I sent them all, but it's still blocked as my account is still blocked. I don't understand why they're doing this when I've sent you everything they asked for.Don't use paysafe card, it's a scam and will take your money.

Been back on phone this morning had a rude women that just kept telling me no and talking over me. Asked for more personal details, scammers and fruad. Anyone that has experienced the same thing I would go through your bank and request all funds you have ever paid through you bank to paysafe back. Why should they benefit from taking money when they cant pay it back out.

I have been a major merchant producing representative in the Electronic Payment space for 13+ years and have boarded close to 1,000 merchants over that time frame. In short, I've boarded, by necessity and request, merchants desiring to use Clover Equipment, which comes with a mandatory partnership with Paysafe, on 9-10 occasions. In my entire career I've never dealt with a more incompetent, poorly trained entity than the combination of Paysafe and Clover. Their respective customer support and service is unbelievably bad with no remorse or apologies ever offered for what I would call extreme negligence. This is the first review I've bothered to write over the course of my career- after spending 15+ hours on the phone going from various "departments" to supervisors, I've thrown in the towel for good. One of my valued merchants takes AMEX actively and discovered one evening that his Clover Flex would no longer accept AMEX. Over the course of two months we were bounced back and forth from Paysafe to Clover, and back again in an attempt to resolve the disappearance of AMEX acceptance. After 30+ days of chasing this down we managed to temporarily resolve the issue- only to have it rear its head again just one month later. Imagine, another 10+ hours of phone work and we're still nowhere near a fix for my merchant. I could go on and on but I'll stop there. The moral of this story is, if you are a merchant RUN from any association with Paysafe or Clover.
You'll learn to regret the alignment I can assure you. Hundreds of satisfied clients over the years- I've built my book of business on keeping customers processing cost efficienly and keeping them happy. EVERY Paysafe / Clover merchant I've boarded has either left or been transitioned to a completely different system with the exception of this one, I am now officially out on all of them.
