Worst repair experience

Went in for a simple repair to a scuffed rear bumper.

I'd start by saying I've never experienced a garage or bodyshop repairer that is so poor.

They painted the repaired part of the car the wrong colour and rounded out the swage line so it looks like a panel from a different car. They also damaged the trim when refitting it. They then tried to fix this as rectification and in doing so polished the black gloss trim with a dirty cloth scratching it. They then tried to polish this out and melted part of the coating. They then replaced the gloss panel that they scratched and fitted a damaged replacement, then they tried to make good the original repair leaving a shallow dent in the repaired panel. Every time it's "oh, it looks ok to us". Paint blobs and panel gaps that are measured in CM not MM? "it looks ok to us..".

Every time my car went back for rectification, they damaged something else.

Formal complaint to the owner generated no response from the owner.

They are supposed to be authorised repairers for a bunch of manufacturers. I wouldn't take any vehicle here for a repair.

Appalling QA, appalling levels of service, terrible repair standards. Just a pity I can't post the pictures here. Avoid at all costs.

In all they had my car for about 4 weeks and now I need to take it to a reputable repairer to get the job done.

Excellent

Having always worked on my own vehicles, at almost 70 I felt it was time to leave the job of replacing the timing belt, idler, tensioner, and water pump to someone else, on my mint 2015 Kuga with less than 40,000 miles, that even has the engine bay cleaned. I was sceptical and needed to feel me the same confidence as if I had done it myself. First impression, the place is busy, huge, clean, picked it up 4-5 hours later, with not so much as a fingerprint, all the original removed parts in the box, feel so relieved I chose the right place.
Job done.
