I'm really enjoying prolific . It feels good to have my opinion out there in the world and if makes me feel like I matter.

Very nice website, easy access to some small extra income, the studies are all fair so far and I have nothing to complain at all.

The tasks are fun to do but never know when they arrive

I am deeply disappointed with Prolific. After a long period of participating on the platform, providing high-quality data, and maintaining a perfect record with absolutely ZERO rejected studies, my account was suddenly placed "On Hold" and permanently restricted.

When I contacted support, I received a generic, copy-pasted response stating that the decision was final and that they "cannot provide detailed reasons" to protect their system. I have never used a VPN, never misrepresented my demographics, and never used bots or automated tools.

It is completely unacceptable that a platform built on "data quality" relies on flawed automated flags to ban honest participants without any human double-check or right to a fair appeal. If you are thinking of investing your time here, be aware that your account can be deleted overnight for no reason at all, regardless of how flawless your history is.

I have already submitted a formal Subject Access Request (SAR) under the UK GDPR to demand my data, and I will be escalating this matter to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Cruel and unfair treatment of good participants.

studies are interesting and easy to answer

I have been using Prolific for years and it has saved my budget countless times. It's really easy to earn enough to cash out to PayPal, but I usually wait until I have a significant amount to cash out or until my budget needs a boost. Some surveys pay in USD, others in GBP.

Overall, this is the best survey app I've ever used, both in experience and value!

Signed up for a participant account, waited about a week to get through the waitlist. When I was accepted in I immediately completed the sign up process and verified my id and face but then I got flagged and was told to delete my account. I reached out to their customer service and received an email days later saying my ip address was flagged(still dont know why or what that even means to them) and that they could not help me. Now I can never make another account or join their platform. Absolute garbage way of handling their business.

Its complicated to get into a study on time.

A while ago Prolific changed their setup. I was told to verify my account again, after being with them for nearly 3 years. I followed the instructions to verify again but the site it leads to keeps saying that the site does not work. I have been trying to sort it out with support for over a week already with no luck. It is as if support just ignores me. This is the worst service I have ever gotten from them. They have really gone downhill fast. Closing my account with them today and good riddence to rubbish.

Prolific is a great platform that pays well compared to other survey sites. However, users need to be very careful. I recently ran into a scam study by a researcher named "Amaze" that tried to steal my personal information and card number, which triggered an automatic hold on my account. Prolific has great potential, but they need to do a better job filtering out malicious researchers before they target participants.

Pays out quickly and easily. Lots of opportunities. Legitimate way to make a little money with your free time.

I received the below message for my account. I had done great surveys, received messages from survey authors to prove that, and had no activity for months due to my eye issues, which I conveyed. The message below is a ' human review, ' which apparently claims things that are not possible since I did not really log in at all.

2. Seek the assistance of other persons, tools, or automations such as bots, LLMs and scripts in order to complete studies, such as the onboarding study
3. Create multiple accounts or share an account with another person
4. Provide false information about your identity, location, or experience
5. Create multiple accounts, or falsely change account information, or inaccurately represent who you are, where you are located, or your experience
6. Manipulate or exploit the platform, tools, or instructions to gain an unfair advantage or inflate rewards
7. Regularly providing poor-quality or low-effort responses to studies

Prolific is very perfect platform

At first it was going good although I never have received that much studies due to my demography. Lately, I had negative experiences with Prolific - unfair rejection which was automatic probably done by AI and when I disputed the rejection I was told that rejection was fair and that also probably was reviewed by AI not the researcher. Then timeout problems, some researchers post gigantic amount of work with very insufficient amount of time. And I guess Prolific doesn't seem to check or verify this kind of issues or any kind. But I must say they release money fairly quickly.

I enjoy my user experience. I have been using prolific for several years and enjoy the studies I participate in.

Getting paid for giving my opinions...what could be better? It's a fun way to make a little extra cash.

By far the most professional website I have witnessed that manages studies and study participants.
