Internet scam warning - legal action to follow

Shameful, false advertising in a level I never experienced before. I literally was scammed by you. Legal action on its way.
For some details:
The car supplied had literally nothing to do with what I paid for. Add said Honda Civic or equivalent, in reality I got a Kia salou, yes I also never heard about it. The car is extremely un safe and doesn’t have basic features every modern car has. The solution provided by your agent was: it’s your problem nothing can be done.

Very surprising to find out when I picked up the car that this car rental agency did not accept the insurance policy I had included when I made the reservation via Rentalcars.com. So they required a deposit of no less than €1.150(!), which upon returning the car after two days (in the exact same condition as when I rented it, which they confirmed via email), they informed me they would only credit the deposit (less rental fees) to me in 7-10 days!!! I find this a rather unacceptable business practice. If I had known this beforehand, I would have pursued other alternatives.

I usually make car bookings using your app, but was looking for a deal on a hire car in the USA which incorporated an additional driver and a full tank of fuel. This I couldn't access on the app, but was easy to find using your website.

I was unable to pick up my rental car due to the international travel ban introduced with a few hours' notice. The company had no plan for such eventuality and would not offer a refund, nor a voucher.

Given how COVID may be around for a long time, I'd strongly advise you to look elsewhere and give this rubbish company a miss.

Overall the car was clean but there were a few dirty marks on the bodywork.

The inside windscreen wasnt clean and there wasnt a label on the outside doors indicating that the car hadnt been accessed since the last clean.

It was easy to find the car of choice, but the more you look for options, prices go up despite having the same vehicle and place of preference. My recommendation, keep the same low price regardless of how many times you search.

Using RENTALCARS.COM is easy and convenient. When problems arise, they listen and take note. The problems I’ve had were resolved and they gave a discount on my next rental due to things not being all my fault. I use this APP pretty frequently

Good to get the best rates. I would like to see it more obvious where the pick-up location is. It changes the convenience and the cost if you select a vehicle only to find you have to pick it up somewhere other than the airport.
