I would have given 5 stars, but the rental agency insisted I use the same credit card for the damage deposit as I had used for the rental. As a result, I was not able to use a card which has no foreign exchange taxes.
Firstly I wasn’t given the car that they had on display. It is also worth mentioning that if your plans change and you need to return the car earlier then you previously planned you will not receive a refund for the days you didn't use it but in their adverts they lead you into thinking that they do. Make sure you keep an eye on your bank statements because you will get charged for the duration of the hire once from this company and again from the company that you hire the car from. Im still waiting for a refund from enterprise. Its not worth the hassle if you need to hire a car go directly to the actual car companies, you will get cheaper quotes and if you decide to change your plans they will give you a refund.

This concerns the online reservation only. Nothing about the ensuing quality of service can be said yet. Will see.. .

The price was good and booking online was easy, however I’m annoyed to find an overseas transaction fee charged to my credit card by my bank.
The price quoted was in AUD and at no stage was I made aware by the rental company that this was an international transaction.
I wouldn’t have used this website had I have known that!
Terrible, they charge so much on top of the actual price, to the original rental price directly from the location. Secondly they charged us extra for late return because the local country apparently had 10:30am return versus when we booked it via rentalcars it said later time on our booking. Surely the return time on our booking should apply. There is a disconnect between what rentalcars gives and the local renal company. On top of all of this I raised a complaint to their customer service, initially they responded to say they will look into this but then they didn’t respond. Have now followed up several times, and just no response. Appalling customer service as well, good luck getting any help from them. Do not recommend them, rather book directly with car rental companies. This company ripes you off with such margins on top and are also not helpful when you try to raise an issue with the customer service!
Rentalcars.com refuse to refund me and I didn't receive a car. I was left stranded in a strange city! They now claim I was supposed to call them from the car rental's desk so that I receive my refund. How was I supposed to know that if they didn't tell me? You are money hungry fultures whom I'll never make use of anymore!
When we received our car, it was an smaller size vehicle to what we had paid and reserved. We had to request a cancelation of the reservation. This inconvenience made me lose 2 hours of my time.
Web page was relatively easy for me to navigate once I was used to it and could see what insurance I could opt for I went ahead. The quote for the rental was far cheaper than other companies. So far all good. Can't wait to get back to Queensland and the warm.Cheers, John

you double charge me for the same tranaction had to call my credit card co. to cancel you out for your mistake and ,to get of hold of you guys its a nightmare. never buy from you guys there are better serch engines for renting a car.

I have been using this company for years.... don’t go anywhere else and always take out the extra insurance with them. The extra car insurance is always cheaper than any where else....... if it works why go anywhere else......
Being hit with an undisclosed overseas transaction fee was very disappointing, would think twice before using again.
