Lovely pub, good food and great staff
I visited this pub for a meal with my family on a Monday early evening. The young lady behind the bar was welcoming, happy and friendly.
My teenage son is somewhat fussy and his meal, unfortunately, was not to his liking. I’m sure he’ll grow out of it (one day) but not before the chef had replaced the meal with a new one and without any fuss. The young man working there insisted that the chef wanted my son to be happy with his meal.
I have to say, the service and friendliness that I experienced today was exceptional. We were really made to feel welcome even though I was worried we may have been perceived as problem customers.
We all enjoyed the food which was to a very high standard. The food surpassed my expectations and the staff are friendly, helpful and appear to genuinely enjoy working there. I would like to say a big thank you to the chef and the two young people running front of house. You really excelled today.
This is a pub that I look forward to visiting again. I think they deserve my custom and I think they deserve yours too. I recommend you give them a go.
