Unprofessional and Refusing to Honour Contracts - Avoid!stores our documents.
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with Stor-a-File. We have been storing documents with them since 2017 (originally with RADS, which Stor-a-File acquired), and their recent conduct has been appalling.
We are in the process of selling our business assets and are trying to arrange the retrieval of our stored documents. Stor-a-File is proving incredibly difficult to deal with.
Firstly, they are refusing to honour the terms of our original, signed contract from 2017, specifically regarding the permanent withdrawal charges. They are attempting to impose significantly higher fees, despite a contract clause that explicitly states that variations must be in writing and signed by both parties – which we have not done. They claim they can't find the contract, but we have provided them with a copy.
Secondly, they are also obstructing our attempts to conduct a necessary due diligence site visit. This visit was requested on April 22nd, 2025, and they are making it excessively difficult to schedule, causing significant delays and potential complications for our business sale.
Their communication is poor, their customer service is lacking, and their business practices are highly questionable. I strongly advise any business considering using Stor-a-File to look elsewhere. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and appear to have no regard for their contractual obligations. We are now being forced to consider legal action to resolve this matter.
