Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 112 reviews, reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Many customers appreciate the company's mission to bring empty properties back into use, viewing it as a positive contribution to the community. People find the process of reporting properties straightforward and easy, often receiving a thank-you voucher promptly after their submission qualifies. The incentive of a £20 voucher, and the potential for a percentage of the sale price if the property is purchased, is a significant draw for many. However, some customers also noted that not all reported properties meet the company's criteria, and a few expressed concerns about the company's methods for acquiring properties. Additionally, one reviewer mentioned a negative interaction with an owner when inquiring about properties in Italy.

Great company

Great company. I knew of an empty derelict property that really needs to be restored to its former glory so I informed You Spot Property and they quickly confirmed that it was the sort of property they’re interested in. So I e now got my voucher - I really hope they manage to buy it!!

Whenever I’m out and about I look for abandoned and neglected properties and It is brilliant to get rewarded with a voucher and possibly a percentage of the sale of the house for something that requires no effort at all!

I think its a great way to improve our neighbourhoods and to revive empty properties.
I had shared one property with You Spot Property and quite soon received a voucher for Amazon (£20). That's great. Not sure though if I will be still contacted if the buying process will go through hence only 4 stars.
Otherwise I love the idea and the simplicity, as well as the possibility to earn some extra money.

Thanks Lidia we appreciate the review but your experience can only be based on here and now and on that basis we’ve delivered on a £20 voucher. We will of course keep you updated if we buy the property even if it’s 5 years down the road or 1 month

The vouchers are great, but nothing compared to 1% of the purchase price!!

My Wife told me about You Spot several years ago after watching a review from Martin Lewis. As I am out walking most days I began to report empty looking, unkempt properties. To my amazement I began to receive confirmations that some of the properties where vacant and I received numerous £20 Amazon vouchers!!!

The vouchers were great and an easy reward for very little work, but the next reward if you find a property, you're entitled to 1% of the property purchase price. I'd heard nothing for a few years about my spots, until recently when I got an email confirming that You Spot had purchased one of the properties I had spotted and they wanted to send me my 1%!! Within a day of You Spot contacting me I received that 1%, £2750.00!!!

It's certainly renewed my enthusiasm!!

Very simple to report an empty property on the website. This was my second time. The first property was already reported and in their records, the second one wasn’t so I got a £20 Amazon voucher within a week of notifying. Thanks for the voucher! Great company. I’ll keep a lookout for more!

Renovating neglected properties and Saving the need for New Properties

I have been frustrated seeing so many properties that look empty and decayed, nobody doing anything about them for ages, when at the same time there is building on green land because there aren't enough homes for people.
I read about this company on Money Saving Expert, and thought 'if I see a property in disrepair again, I'd report it on You Spot Property's form. As it happens, I've come across a few properties, some which looked like they were falling apart, but turned out to be occupied!
Nevertheless, I've just received a £20 Amazon voucher for a property I reported a couple of weeks ago - it fulfilled all the 'Terms of Reward' (which I didn't know about when I first sent in properties. It helps to read them), so I feel pretty good that maybe at least one more property will be done up and someone will make it a home.
This is a great idea for a company. Kudos to them for putting some more properties on the market and reducing the need for new homes just a little bit!

Glad I found this website!

I've reported around 7 properties so far, received around 4 or 5 20 pound vouchers and last week youspot purchased one of the houses I found. I had a phone call to tell me and the 1% of the purchase price was in my bank within days. Hopefully the first of many!

Thank you. I appreciate the gift.

Thank you. I received a £20 Marks and Spencer gift voucher for reporting an empty house. I bought a lovely jumper with it today. I hope the company succeed in buying the house and it becomes a good home for someone. It has stood empty far too long and is beginning to look shabby which isn’t good for the street. Great system.

Great website

After submitting details of an abandoned and now derelict property in my home town, I have received a £20 M&S voucher from YouSpotProperty. I too was sceptical but it really is genuine.

YouSpotProperty can help the housing crisis

Watched the advert on TV and was a bit skeptical at first but I knew of a house locally been sat decaying for years.
I'm hoping they can contact the owners and end up buying the house so that someone can benefit and it's one less house that has to be built to solve the housing crisis.
I've received a £20 Amazon voucher for telling the company so what's not to like.

Rescue this unloved empty house!

I've just received a £20 M&S voucher for telling the company about an empty house near me.
I was a bit skeptical at first but I though "what have I got to lose!".
I'm hoping they can contact the owners and end up buying the house so that a family can live there rather than it remaining empty and deteriorating.

I'm a postie so I'm always seeing vacant properties. It's quick to report them. So far I've had 3 lots of £20 vouchers so far.

I sent them details of an empty property in my area, it met their requirements and they sent me a £20 Amazon voucher which I have used. It was really simple to report the property. I’m hopeful that they can find the owner and buy it, would be great to bring the house back into use as it would make the whole area look better!

Fantastic

Fantastic, does what it says on the tin. No long sign ups or any dodgy business. I reported an empty property and within a week had an £20 gift card code for Amazon. Reporting a property is easy as well. I used a photo from google maps. 🤙🏻🤙🏻

Informative and helpful

I reported a house that was empty for a year. They soon replied and said they would look into it. Helpful throughout. After a month they sent me a £20 Amazon voucher just for informing them of the property and told me that they hoped to buy it.
Great service. Very polite and informative.
