The resume quality is ordinary. They don't seem to have good resume maker team. Grammar errors, multiple edits, font selection errors.
My resume never looked perfect though it was most expensive compared to other resume makers.
For every small thing there is a charge but the output is garbage

Absolutely awful experience with Zipjob. I'm now dealing with my SECOND failed writer and their customer service is appalling.

After the first writer delivered poor quality work, I provided specific feedback. Instead of acknowledging the issues, they sent me a patronizing lecture about resume formatting, essentially telling me I don't understand their 'strategic approach' and that their work is actually perfect.

The response was incredibly condescending - explaining basic resume concepts as if I'm clueless, rather than addressing legitimate quality concerns. Zero accountability.

Now on my second writer with the same quality issues. This time they claimed their editorial team says it 'meets their standards' and offered a third writer 'as an exception' - again acting like they're being generous rather than fixing repeated failures.

Two writers, two failures, and arrogant responses that blame the customer each time. They'd rather lecture you about why you're wrong than actually deliver quality work.

Save yourself the frustration. Find a company that takes feedback seriously instead of one that thinks condescending explanations substitute for competent work.

I signed up ZipJob based on good reviews but when the payment processing finalized it said TopTesume, which has terrible reviews - they are the same company and they do not mention it until after you pay. I asked for my money back immediately and they said no. They tried three different times right in my resume each time telling me a senior level writer was going to be honest, and each time they sent back resumes that made no sense whatsoever even though I had a pretty solid resume as an example for them to base it off of. They do not use native English speaking writers, they are based overseas, you can tell that by the timetable when they are sending you emails and updates. They made up bullet points and job titles. They are a scam. I have been fighting with my credit card company to get my money back because it is a complete and utter waste of your money and time.

I am trying to get started on my résumé. I sent you the résumé but the résumé that I sent you does not have my most recent job on it so I need you to call me so I can give you my recent recent job. The initial draft of the resume I received was terrible. This service was recommended for Executive Level jobs. You could get a better result with AI. Additionally, they do not give you enough time to review and make edits. I was travelling for business and did not meet their deadline. This was a complete waste of money.

My WORST interaction with any kind of service ever. Here is my story.

I purchased the resume and LinkedIn profile service in December. I submit the questionnaire, upload my current resume. After 2-3 days I receive the first draft, which was really my current resume in a different template with some basic tweaks (use of fancy synonyms and buzz words). It was very light on my current experience. I shared this feedback and got a 1st revision which added 2 sentences on my current experience (over draft 1). There was no other question asked. I realized this would require a lot more work at my end.

I am a working professional with a full time job, with a family and trying to upgrade my resume. It took me more than 7 days to get back to them with my notes. By then they closed my order and I was left with a useless 1st revision and an even more useless 1st draft of LinkedIn profile. Their solution for me was to pay for additional support.

I cannot speak for those actively engaging with the resume writer as their top priority. I could not. So if you are in a similar spot as I was, I would strongly caution you. Don't get ripped off by them.

Highly recommend for executive resume refresh. Process was easy and results delivered ahead of schedule and exceeded expectations.

Paid $300 for the Premium service but not sure it was worth it. 6 weeks before ZipJob (during Q4), my old resume got me 3 interviews. 6 weeks after ZipJob (Q1), have not heard back from one job application. The resume optically looks better though. Looks like ChatGPT helped them rewrite it better, but not getting any hits from my resume like my prior version. Was hoping their coaching and strategies would help but doesn't seem to be getting any replies. I also paid for the phone discussion, but the person could only do it before 8am MT or after 9pm MT...very poor hours given the phone was $50 upcharge on my already $300 package.

Visually resume looks better but not getting much results from it despite applying to more jobs in Q1 than I did in Q4.

If you want a resume that looks like a kid rearranged your current version based on templates from a 1980s PC, then be sure to pay extra for the "premium" package! Otherwise, seek writing assistance elsewhere.

Very disappointed in the quality of the product. Though my writer was prompt and responsive, the final deliverable is simply not usable. Mountains of run on text and formats that make it a challenge to even read. That's after revisions. I paid for the top package and got an item that I cannot use. Customer service was quick to say no refunds.

Learn from my mistake!

Absolutely unethical company. Do not buy their service. If you decide to cancel BEFORE using the service at all they will charge a $100 fee due to a fictitious policy about "surpassing their trial period". First of all when I pay for a service that's not a trial period. Secondly when I have not used the service at all or even created an account and being charged a ridiculous fee that's is 53% of my payment in order to just cancel then that is THEFT OF SERVICES in the state of CA. This is unjust and absolutely shows you what kind of crappy people and organization they are. Stealing from consumers is what they do. BE WARNED!

I purchased a resume rewrite package 8/13, which they billed me 3X for. I disputed 2 charges. I added a profile update on 8/29. Their turn around time was 3-5 days. Today is 9/14 and I have received nothing from ZipJob. I have sent 5 emails and gotten no replies other than scam emails offering me other services. I am filing complaints with the FTC and BBB to start! DO NOT USE THIS 'SERVICE'!

After receiving the second version of the resume, I was out of town. The day after I returned, I received another notice stating, "your order will close today." This relentless pressure forced me to rush my feedback, and at that point, I just gave up. The LinkedIn work was particularly disappointing—essentially pointless.

Despite purchasing the full package, I’m only using about 10% of what I paid for. The entire process has been a waste of money and time, and I wouldn’t recommend ZipJob to anyone seeking a professionally written resume or LinkedIn profile. I’m now in the process of redoing the work myself and will have to find another service to get the quality I was originally hoping for.

Oh my goodness, they promised to write an executive summary for me (almost $1,000) and never contacted me. As my interview was coming up, I wrote them to cancel the work, and they denied me a refund even though I was promised a refund by the salesperson. I am kind of in shock - I was recommended to them by a major website (who I'll be writing)

I recently used ZipJob to help rewrite my resume, hoping for a professional and polished final product. In fact, I have to find another service to actual write my resume as what they produced wasn't usable.

I paid extra for expedited service, expecting a quicker turnaround. However, the first draft I received was far from satisfactory. I provided detailed edits within hours of receiving it, only to be met with radio silence for almost a week. Yes, a weekend was included, but that still defeated the purpose of paying for faster service.

When the writer finally responded, my concerns were barely addressed. I raised issues with the formatting, the language used, and asked general questions like whether certain information should be included or not. Instead of providing thoughtful feedback, the writer simply removed the information without any explanation. When questions required actual thought, they were ignored altogether.

I was told that the formatting was “what the industry was looking at and using” and was guaranteed to get me interviews. However, my best friend used a different service and received a resume that looked far more professional—without the ridiculous 23-point font headline that ZipJob insisted was industry-standard. To make matters worse, when I questioned whether this was just a draft format, I was told it was the actual final format.

When the writer went MIA, I had to reach out to support multiple times. They had to contact the writer twice just to get them to respond to me, and this was only after the first draft. What kind of service is this, especially for someone who paid for expedited writing?

After receiving the second draft, I raised my concerns about the poor writing quality, lack of responsiveness, and the overall lack of attention to detail. Support offered to find me another writer but mentioned it would take longer, which was ironic given how they already knew I was frustrated with the delays.

Overall, I found ZipJob’s service to be unprofessional and not worth the money. The final product was subpar, the process was extremely frustrating, and the customer service was lackluster. I would NOT recommend this service to anyone looking for a professionally written resume.

I'm out over $300 and have to go find another resume service to actually help me with my resume. Thanks, ZipJob.

They get one star (should be zero) as I submitted my request for a resume and noticed my bank account got charged 5X!!! W-T-F…..so, after calling and complaining I’m being told that it could take up to 2 days to get a refund. ( but only seconds to take it from me!!!) They have over $600 of my money!! Ugh!!!
Not happy at all!!!
