Still Lacking Good Customer Support in 2019

I love using steam, but the customer support sours the experience. In my experience with GOG, Sony, or pretty much any other major gaming company’s support, I've always had courteous customer service members that were understanding of the issues I've had and assisted me in any way they could. I wish I could say the same for steam.

Recently steam "replied" to the only refund request I’ve made while using the platform, but whoever was in charge never actually listened to the issue I had. I’m not angry that I didn’t get a refund, if there were some indication that they read and understood my problem, I’d be fine. I never held a grudge against Sony for denying a refund request of mine because they personally and politely explained why they couldn’t do it.

This is why I have a problem with my recent experience with steam, they simply denied my request a few minutes later with a premade response saying I played a couple hours over their time limit. Absolutely no apparent effort or care from whatever customer service member was on duty at the time (if there was one). This was the only time I’ve had to use the refund feature in nearly a decade of using steam, and I somewhat hope I don't have to use it again after this. Even though Steam has tried to improve their customer service recently, It’s still pretty bad. There’s still zero comparison to Nintendo, Sony, or GOG in that regard.
