Bad experience with delivery

Have had very disappointing experience with Energy Bulbs after one of the portable AC units we bought from them was faulty. I want to be fair with my review so I should say that when I called Energy Bulbs to report the issue they were extremely helpful, very pleasant to deal with and quick to offer me a replacement. We thus returned it (waiting in all day for the courier), however when it came to the new unit being delivered a few days later, we were only offered the possibility of an all day 9am-6pm TNT delivery which we accepted. However, despite rigourously checking the TNT site all day, all it said was “out for delivery” from 7:55am. No heads up or notice whatsoever as to when the delivery might happen. Well, let’s just say if you want to have an item delivered with EnergyBulbs you better make sure you plan 9 hours at home without doing anything which might mean you will miss the 1 minute you will get to open the front door and take delivery of your item with no notice whatsoever beforehand. Having just popped upstairs to get our daughter up from her nap, it was just when TNT knocked and we thus missed the delivery. Bearing in mind this was for the replacement of a faulty item (so we had already had to wait in once for the original item and then a second time for the courier return of that item, this was the third time waiting in), the delivery service offered is awful. Again, Energy Bulbs themselves are very pleasant to deal with but in this day and age with technology etc it just can’t be right that you have to accept a 9 hour delivery window without any tracking or notice. Very disappointed.

Thank you for leaving us a review. I am very sorry that TNT could not offer you a time slot for delivery. I understand that nowadays customers want as much communication and information as possible regarding delivery times.

This is something I will take up with our TNT account manager and see if we can upgrade our service so that future customers do receive time slots.
