Seems a good price, then the rip off begins.....

From a car point of view it was ok. Not a very new car, but was expecting that. Windscreen on the inside was not clean. Booked via an Expedia package where the cost was about £65 for the car. Took out my own excess cover which meant Goldcar wanted to take the amount of excess from me via my credit card during the period of hire, which seemed fair enough. However the amount that was refunded was £185 less than was taken though & after me querying twice on email, they stopped replying.... Clearly they expect to sting you with either an expensive additional excess cover insurance or if you don't take that, fiddle some money out of you via foreign exchange. Avoid.

Thank you to contact us again. I confirm you that the amount of the deposit has been 1469€ (charged on 12th September) and the refund has been of the same amount on 22th September. Our Customer Service Department has attached the signed rental agreement with the charges done on the day that you picked up the car and the invoice with the refund details of the deposit.
