BEWARE- not as promised!!!!

Very good pre booking by nuala but not as promised. The cheaper option load&go!£1500 for guy to turn up very late , didn’t speak English, let my 2 friends do all the loading while he sorted out the van! I was told someone had to be there to help with awkward items. Loaded the van badly huge void at the back so loads of plants , furniture and power tools left behind! Loads broken too. Friends couldn’t reach us as we were mid Atlantic as they so late. Manager Potts couldn’t give a damn and won’t even listen so I’m going to credit card company. My request to speak to someone else at company ignored.
Thanks for your reply which apparent;y I can't reply to but as I keep saying, and you keep ignoring - I was told a different story by nuala who came across as very professional. I was told that your driver would load the goods and only need help with awkward things. I explained to her about my friends and their age etc and it wasn't a problem.
As for the weight, what utter rubbish, there was no heavy stuff on there, he left it all behind. All the heavy plants and furniture were left, there was only one heavy oak table and a settee and chair, 2 mattresses and rest boxes?? Hardly the contents of a house. I was originally booked into a 15metrw square van which the driver insists he could of got our load on completely having seen it. However, he couldn't make it, so i booked with you, a much bigger van. Are you telling me it was too overweight to take a palm sander, hedge cutter and drill !!! All i said to my friends was if it doesn't go on you can leave the pine furniture not everything they left. I trusted your driver to empty the container ,he was late which left his 'helpers' in an awkward position. It was all very badly and unprofessionally loaded. You should face up to the fact you gave me a very poor service indeed. Shame I can't upload the pictures showing the truck on arrival and all the breakages.

I am sorry that you were not satisfied with our services. Your complaint has been considered many times and a final response has been sent to you prior to this posting.

We give our customers both service options for consideration and you chose to book the basic 'Load & Go' service. This will give you assistance from the driver to load the goods on and off the back of the van only, which he did. This service option is aimed at customers with small part loads who can bring the goods out to the van or customers who have plenty of help on both ends and require minimal assistance for loading and unloading - this was made very clear to you upon booking and across all of our literature. The helpers you provided to do all of the loading was a lady and a 72 year old man, this was not deemed adequate.

The issue was not with the space on the van but the weight, therefore the comment about the void on the van is irrelevant. The driver already agreed to take a little extra weight but had to draw the line somewhere and as you were uncontactable whilst this was happening it was left to your helpers to decide what would be left behind. I must reiterate that the weight is the responsibility of the customer and if a van is stopped for being overweight any fines incurred or extra vans required would need to be paid for by the customer, therefore sending the van overweight would have put you at extra risk of incurring extra charges.
