I ordered some packing materials and unfortunately I was sent the wrong boxes. I phoned customer service and the member of staff I spoke to was very apologetic and instantly credited my account with the money I needed to order what was missing.
Thank you for your excellent customer service and no quibble attitude. I will definitely use again in the future and reccomend to others.
Don't waste your time!
I sent my Samsung Galaxy S8 off to Mazuma with a quote of £130 as apart from a small scratch on the casing (which I declared when getting a quote) my phone was in mint condition, no damage to the screen and it was working and charging fine having been well looked after.
The day after it arrived I got an email to say that during the process of testing they had discovered screen burn and therefore would only pay me £35 (a £95 drop). I refused this offer and asked for my phone to be returned as I knew that there was absolutely no damage to my phones screen when I sent it off.
After receiving my phone back today I took it to my local CEX and had it valued. After they had run all of their extensive tests which took around 1 hour I was given the full amount quoted on the website of £150 - they found NO screen burn or damage of any kind at all.
As other reviews have said - please don't waste your time sending your phone to mazuma - they send a revised quote in the hope that you won't bother questioning them and accept the lower offer as you aren't doing the transaction in person. I expect I'll get a reply saying that "the units do go through a series of tests, they are checked quite thoroughly and any findings are adjusted by the system." but there was nothing to find and I have £150 from CEX to say otherwise.
I will never consider mazuma for future trade ins - I will go straight to CEX. Their customer service was excellent today. Please pay attention to this review! I thought that seeing as the good reviews far outweighed the bad I'd be ok, but clearly they are just trying to pay as little money as possible for devices in very good condition.
If you are told your device has screen burn and you weren't aware of that - do not accept their offer. Ask for your phone back!
