All Electric Garages (KGM) - Avoid. Poor After Sales Experience and Formal Complaint Ignored
All Electric Garages (KGM) - Kings Heath, Birmingham B14.
Formal complaint ignored – extremely disappointing customer service
I purchased a used Škoda Octavia from All Electric Garages in May 2025. In January 2026, I reported a recurring dashboard fault and a separate issue with the rear heated screen. The dashboard fault was supposedly fixed, but reappeared immediately after collection. I was subsequently told the vehicle required assessment by a master technician, which the dealership did not have on site.
As a result, I had to take the vehicle to another Škoda dealership for assessment by a master technician. The inspection was not covered under warranty, meaning I had to pay for the assessment myself. The vehicle was then reassessed by All Electric, and the fault was eventually identified as being caused by the battery. In fairness to All Electric Garages, they did agree to cover half of the battery replacement cost, which I appreciate. However, I am left questioning why the battery fault was not identified during the dealership’s initial and subsequent assessments, particularly when the same fault reappeared immediately after I collected the vehicle.
The rear heated screen also does not clear the full area because part of the heating element is not working. I was advised that this would not be covered and was told that an earlier report of the issue may have made a difference.
However, the vehicle was purchased in May 2025, during the summer months, when there was little reason to use the rear heated screen. The defect therefore would not reasonably have been apparent at the time of purchase and only became noticeable when colder weather arrived and the heated screen was actually needed.
In relation to the rear heated screen, I submitted a formal complaint on 6 March 2026, referring to my rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and requested a response within 14 days.
I received no response.
I followed up again on 15 April 2026, followed by another email requesting confirmation that my complaint was being investigated.
As of 31 August 2026, I have received absolutely no response to my complaint or any of my follow-up emails.
I find this level of customer service completely unacceptable. I have kept a full record of all correspondence and my repeated attempts to resolve this matter. Despite giving the dealership more than enough opportunity to respond, my formal complaint has simply been ignored.
I was initially happy with my purchase and had a positive experience with the sales team. Unfortunately, the way these issues have been handled, combined with the complete lack of response to my formal complaint, has significantly changed my opinion of All Electric Garages.

Thank you
Broken Word
I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with All Electric Kidderminster unfortunately requires one.
Shortly after purchasing my vehicle, a fault was identified and the car had to be inspected by my local Hyundai dealership, as requested by All Electric Kidderminster. I paid £144 for the work on 8 January so the vehicle could be released, as the dealership had already agreed this amount would be reimbursed.
Despite this clear agreement, the reimbursement did not arrive. What followed was a prolonged process of chasing through emails, phone calls, and multiple assurances that the payment was “with accounts”, “awaiting director sign-off”, or “being processed”.
Weeks passed with no payment and very little proactive communication. I eventually had to escalate the issue through the dealership’s formal complaints process, my finance provider, and the broker who arranged the finance.
The matter was ultimately resolved only when my finance provider stepped in and reimbursed the amount directly, something that should never have been necessary for such a straightforward issue.
What made the situation particularly frustrating was the contrast between the speed at which the dealership pursued payment from me for the vehicle itself and the amount of chasing required for them to honour an agreed reimbursement. At one point I was receiving repeated calls chasing payment even while dealing with a family bereavement.
The issue was eventually resolved, but it took nearly two months, multiple escalations, and external intervention to recover a relatively small sum that had already been agreed. I hope the dealership reviews its internal processes so that future customers do not have to go through the same experience.

Going the extra mile to be helpful
I have had numerous on going problems with my Skoda FABIA estate over the past 6 months. Some of its problems were covered by warranty and others not. The garage staff went out of their way over and way beyond what could be expected to help me. This included finding me a courtesy car at short notice, finding the best price for a non warranty repair and returning my car beautifully cleaned inside and out. They made a sorry car saga infinitely more bearable and I am very grateful.
i have bought several cars from this…
i have bought several cars from this garage over the years and i have given several five star reviews, not any more.
I recently had an issue with yellow warning light, suggesting rear brake sensor,my local garage diagnosed this with plugin detector in five minutes flat, but advised me to go to All Electric as he would not get warranty on any parts.
They insisted on checking diagnosis, same result! but charge of £100.00 !
cost to repair almost£500.00 which they did.
Today the same car touch screen not functioning properly, rang service, just don't want to know! because they are giving up Hyundai brand soon and replacing with BYD,! Well good luck to them with that, from my experience i hope they regret the change.
I explained safety was paramount, and yet....
With a baby on the way I headed to this garage to test a '21 Hyundai Tuscon HEV TP & bought the car, despite a few red flags, including:-
> Mismatch between mileage on interval computer & service book
> 3 different tyre brands on the car incl. 2 budget tyres (1 with a repaired puncture)
> "It's too expensive to repair a scratch on an alloy wheel"
Seller = chaotically busy with other customers, despite me having an appointment, I decided to leave a deposit because the car was part of an approved-used scheme (+ model, spec, year = rare) & use e-mail for further clarity.
Something didn't sit right so I followed up with the seller asking to see the pre-approved vehicle prep sheet for proof of the work that had been done. He refused which I thought was strange so I asked instead to see a prep sheet template rather that the one for my vehicle and he again refused. This continued for some time 'til a "Sales Controller" got involved to assure me 'safety was paramount, reputation was everything' but not before expressing a concern at the cost of dealing with issues post-delivery (yep, really!). To support the sale, a fresh MOT was now to be included which I did indeed receive (no advisories) as well as the mysterious prep sheet for the vehicle; the former had no advisories and the latter showed only neat ticks in row suggesting everything has been checked and/or resolved (see pic).
The vehicle arrived & I've since been unravelling issues that call into question the "prep work" and, possibly also, the MOT;-
> A local garage wouldn't fit new tyres on the car as the wheel alignment was so miscalibrated, "indicating impact"*
> The wing mirror adjustment mechanism is terminally faulty and needs replacing**
> Sat Nav maps had not been updated
> Users were not removed from the infotainment system
> Within a week the engine warning light was on intermittently ***
See below for more of the issues that indicate general sloppy forecourt behaviour. The sum of both lists indicate poor quality; the sum of the above, however, suggests to me misrepresentation.
This experience has caused me to recalibrate what "Approved-Used" means in practice beyond the fancy literature & price premiums; what safety gaps it indicates for parents: if they missed that stuff, what else did they miss?
I wanted to share this review with other would-be/current parents to help them avoid making the same false assumptions I did. It takes a lot of time (and also money) to deal with this externalised sloppiness.
I will also be writing to the Directors of the garage, Hyundai executives & leaders of various trading and standards bodies in the hope this can serve as a learning experience in pursuit of elevating safety standards (and customer experience).
Other irksome points to note:-
> Delivery driver was 4 hours late with no notice (an explicit delivery window was pre-agreed in writing)
> Was told the vehicle comes with 10 years of BlueLink App Connectivity when it's 5
> Rip in rear bench leather; missed by me on the test drive but not disclosed by the garage
> The horn does not work when activated via BlueLink App
> The valet was very poor - sweets under seats, crumbs in arm rest, lipstick stains on centre console
One last thing:-
> The garage did, of course, find the time to put their logo on new number plates, on a sticker on the windscreen and a on sticker on the rear window so make of that what you will...
*AEG PLC offered to reimburse the labour costs on this one (2 weeks after submitting, still pending...) but not the hire car, fuel, uneven wear on tyres etc., nor my time
** Having the work done under warranty at my local Hyundai garage soon. Still out of pocket, another hire car, more fuel; more time invested...
*** Had this inspected under warranty at my local Hyundai garage. They couldn't recreate the issue which is reassuring. AEG PLC did offer to look at this and, in fairness, the alignment, but you can imagine my inclination to let them near the car again...
2025 hyundai Tucson
Jon
was extremely helpful with my purchase of a new 2025 Hyundai Tucson AWD Plug in petrol hybrid. met all me needs and requirements
Thanks
Excellent service again!
We returned to Hyundai Kidderminster for an upgrade as we were so pleased with our Ionic hybrid, and they didn’t disappoint.
Richard Belling was brilliant!
He sourced us a beautiful Ionic, in excellent condition with really low mileage, and we love it! 😊
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kidderminster Hyundai and all their friendly for outstanding customer service. Thank you.
All very one sided and greedy!
I was looking to do a deal on an i800 that was offered at a 'fair' price though was given a px valuation on my 2021 Tucson N line of about £6k less than they're selling for. Assuming they would have done similar when they took in the i800, this equates to
somewhere in the region of £12,000 in their coffers for just one sale. I know this is a business and it needs to be profitable but come on, fair needs to go both ways!
Thank you Richard Belding for an extremely pleasant experience with the purchase of my new Hyundai Tucson, I found the vehicle to be immaculate and very well presented. From the test drive to dealing
Excellent customer service above and beyond the extra mile!

Lovely friendly company to use for my servicing requirements. Friendly staff. Great servicing facilities. Lovely waiting area and showroom. Offered drinks whilst waiting. Very competitive pricing. Car cleaned after as well. 10/10
They went above and beyond
They went above and beyond to get me on the road in a week
Not impressed
My name is Steve Hampshire.
I bought a car recently. I noticed that one of the tyres had a split in it and when I went back to the garage was told that it had passed a quality check and was more or less told it was my fault. I replaced the tyre myself. There are 3 different makes of tyres on the car which is illegal to have 2 different on the same axel. The manager would only say that it has passed a quality check. I was
given only one key and told they would get me new keys but had to go back 3 times before they've done anything.
The manager has a bad attitude, trying to intimidate me. He has absolutely no customer skills and stares at you. I also have a leaky exhaust but was told by Mr manager that it would pass an MOT.... probably it passed the quality check as well. 🤔🙄
Sales feedback
We have bought our last nine cars fro All Electric allways being happy with the service offered.
We asked about a trade in for my wife's Skoda. The salesman advised 'We do not want the car' and offered £1000 below we buy any car.
As this is no longer a Skoda dealer it appears to just need a car pitch with pushy salesman.
My tenth car will come from elsewhere.
Bought a second hand Tucson from this…
Bought a second hand Tucson from this dealership, I believe I paid over the top for this vehicle but that was my fault and I love the car, but the after sales service I have received has been less than satisfactory, whilst I appreciate sales teams are busy, I get the impression that they have got their money and now they don’t care about resolving the small issues, I certainly won’t be buying another vehicle from them.I’m

I cannot praise Malcolm Toon enough
I cannot praise Malcolm Toon enough, really helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, made car buying experience easy. Would highly recommend All electric Skoda kings heath.
Good for annual service
I have used the Kings Heath garage for servicing since purchasing my Skoda Rapid, so a couple of years now.
Now the four stars are for the vehicle service that they offer. I always get the car back washed and vacced, plus a video of a health check. They also collect and return my car which is very helpful when it is difficult to escape from work, as it usually is for me.
I feel it is worth a little extra money when they're going that little further.
They have lost the additional star for the following:
Last year I was told I needed a new antenna base on my car as mine was faulty. Although I'd not experiences any issues, I agreed as I trusted them. At the time of repair I was streaming music a lot so didn't really test it out. More recently I've tried listening to DAB but the signal is now terrible!
Also, when it comes to repairs, their prices are very steep and in no way competitive with alternative garages, so I cannot use them for repairs which is a shame because I'd rather have one place for all mechanical servicing, repairs etc.
Regular buyer of motor vehicles…
As a regular buyer of motor vehicles the experience we had is not one we would wish to again or expose others to either.
A new vehicle was purchased. When collected the finished presentation was the poorest ever. We raised it at the time and again as we had paid for the Autoglym Lifeshine protection.
It as agreed it has been poorly applied and we could seek a revalet locally. Nobody in a 12 mile radius offer Lifeshine all valet companies having moved aaah from it. We had an alternative offered and applied after the poor product having been removed. The difference was quite amazing.
Spoke with allelectric who welched on the agreement to pay only agreeing to refund the cost paid.
Awful garage which we will never deal with again nor recommend others to either.

Delighted with the used car I bought from Malcolm at All Electric Garages in kings heath, Birmingham.
Friendly, helpful and not at all pushy. They included 12 moths warranty, AA cover, serviced, MOT’d the vehicle and delivered exactly when they said they would… all included in the price.
A much better experience than the car supermarkets

All Electric Garage, Kingsheath, Birmingham
The poorest customer service ever experienced at a car dealer. They refused a test drive because I would not commit to the purchase. I had not committed to a purchase elsewhere. I advised I had been looking through other Skoda sale outlets. The sales rep was Very unprofessional.
Do not believe the lies they tell you about the quality of service or products. I will be raising a complaint with ombudsman.
Discriminative and poor service
