We purchased a Washington D.C. tour on 6/29/17, and I'm glad we did. Ellen was our tour guide. She kept the tour very interesting, and informative. She really knows her stuff, and she's funny as well. I don't know what you guys pay her, but I'm sure she deserves a raise. Keep up the good work, Ellen! Thanks for a great tour!
Chris Lee is an excellent tour guide. He is so knowledgeable of all the details of the places we went and appreciated all those extra other information he put in from his own readings and experiences and plus the jokes. He is fun as a tour guide to be with.
Bus was comfortable but the ac was not working properly
Have used Big Bus in London, New York and Washington DC. Have not had any need to write a complaint, until today because the service was good and staff courteous and knowledgeable. Today, in DC had the most unfortunate experience with the most abnoxious, rude and ill-mannered driver. I tried calling the customer service number and like many reviewers who have had to go through this experience it is extremely painful. There is NO customer service! You really only know how good a company is until there is a problem. I am now pursuing my complaint via an alternative route. I warn all future users of Big Bus, use them carefully and make sure you have all the details at your fingertips should something go wrong, as well as a huge amount of patience because you will need it to get your compliant handled. I suspect that is Big Bus customer care strategy - make it as difficult no frustrating for customers to lodge a compliant and the compliant will disappear.
Would not allow collapsible (size of stroller) small wheeled seated walker on bus. Waited another half hour for promised alternate transportation only to be refused access again. Told to wait another half hour!! My wife, I, and my grandson wasted the day (our cost $1000/day for hotel, air, & food + $148 tickets) waiting for bus. Ended up hiring cab to get back to hotel. Tried to call seven times over 2 days with no live response. Emailed customer service no response. Very frustrating
my first time visiting Washington DC in early Apil.weather a little cool.(dress appropriately).if you want to see and hear a lot of history. and don"t want to do a lot of walking ,reading and standing.this is one way to do it. washington is a beautiful city with so much history. also.if short on time in the city.our tour guide was a gentleman name Nur. knowledgeable, friendly ,helpful and funny.would recommend this as well to senior citizens.

We had the same guide at one point during the day and then again on the night tour. He was excellent and full of knowledge. I would give him and the tour five stars. However the second guide we had during the day was horrible. If I ever see him again on a tour bus I will not get on.

App do not shown my location, only the bus stop, so how can I easily found the exactly location.
When you have an app, and printed coupon, why require me to carry a lame receipt as ticket?
The bus stop do not shown the number, so it is a bit difficult for a tourist to know exactly where we are even we located a bus stop.

I did the Big Bus tour in Washington DC and would definitely recommend it to anyone as it gives you great information about the sights visited and as you can hop on and off and swap between the different routes it stops you having to use cabs / taxi's!
As it was in January, it was a little bit chilly on the open top deck so just wrap up warm as its better to get photos from the up stairs! Just be careful of the trees to the side of bus as they can try to attack you when you get near them while in motion!
With the 48 hours pass you get entry into Madame Tussard's included and that's fun to do as you can get to stand next to the President and famous people! It is quite small and a doesn't take that long but as its included do it!
The only down point of this tour was the bus on the Blue line which went over to the Pentagon Mall area. It was a single deck bus and did have a smell of a public toilet about it!

Took the night tour and thought it was a great introduction to the monument and memorials in the Mall. Recommend.

I would choose Big Bus - if I did it all over again. Great way to see the sights. We signed up for a 48 hr Deluxe and it was worth every penny. Traveling on the top of the bus in late January was a little cold, but worth it :). I loved the night tour - it was a little over 2 1/2 hrs with 1 complete stop at the Lincon Mem. The other add ons were great perks as well.

Just ok .
Wait times for he busses were long and unpredictable. Shorter wait times would be good. Or,
maybe you should put up those digital signs that tell customers how long they still have to wait.
Esp in January, the standing around is annoying.
The speakers on the busses were good.

A great way to get around DC and see the sites, especially if you are traveling with kids.

I discovered the Big Bus was not running on the day of my reservation. Very upset. Tried to use reservation the following day and ticket would not pull up on my phone. Tried to email main office with no response to date.

My friend and I bought the two day buss passes. Biggest waste of money!!! Seriously DO NOT buy from them. No one could give us clear times for the bus stops, people would tell us the wrong time and we would end up waiting an hour for the bus! People were extremely rude and not helpful. I would never ever use this service again. we were very excited about this and it ended up ruining our trip. we wasted so much time waiting for the bus because it was never on time or clear for when it was coming. DONT Do it.

Terrible service, avoid Big Bus Tours Washington. Several buses never turned up after waiting hours at stops in freezing cold conditions. Calling the company only resulted in recorded messages and we never received a call back. There was no update or reason why the buses went missing and no apology. This company only wants your money and is very light on in providing an adequate service. You are better off using ride share services. This is not the only bad review, there is a clear pattern of complaints yet this organisation pays no attention to them. Avoid.
