Really good experience
Really good experience, found the car on auto trader and contacted car planet via the app, they rang me the following day, sent me a bespoke video of the vehicle then as I was buying the car from distance we had a teams call to discuss the purchase and the various options. Not too pushy on the upselling and I felt comfortable to say ‘no’ which makes a change! Car was delivered within a handful of days, haven’t had the paperwork yet which was posted, so as long as that turns up without me having to chase the 5 stars will stay as 5 stars :)

Bought a car in Feb
Bought a car in Feb. Had issues with the sales process so I immediately left a negative review so someone would contact me to resolve the issue, and they did. at the time I was asked repeatedly to remove my review. I said I would once the issues were resolved, and so I did. Since then, however I have been contacted by car planet a few times asking me again to remove my reviews which they claim are still showing as negative/1* on trust pilot and Google, even though I had already removed them, but their system must not have been up dated. Today, I got a random, unsolicited email from trust pilot with a 2FA code to allow a log in attempt which I did not make, I thought this was weird, but would you know it, I got a random phone call from car planet a few hours later… coincidence?

Very poor experience
Very poor experience – unprofessional sales approach
I visited the Warford site to view a car and arrange a test drive. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
The vehicle was presented in a very poor condition – it was dirty and clearly not prepared for a customer viewing. When I asked why the car was in such a state, the response from the salesperson was: “We will wash it for you when you buy it.” This is not what I would expect from a professional dealership.
The test drive lasted around 300 yards, which is completely insufficient to properly check a vehicle. During the visit, I also felt pressured to make an immediate purchase, even though I clearly explained that I needed time to think about the decision.
The most concerning part was the additional £450 charge the dealership said they would apply simply because I wanted to arrange finance through another company instead of their in-house finance. My finance company confirmed they would cover any administrative costs, the dealership stated they “did not care” and would still charge the £450 anyway.
Overall, the experience gave the impression of:
poor vehicle preparation
very limited knowledge about the cars being sold
pressure to buy immediately
unexpected additional charges if you use external finance
Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that potential buyers approach this dealership with caution and carefully check all terms and fees before proceeding.

Possibly the worst after service care..
Possibly the worst after service care you could ask for - everybody should know this in advance.
There are many things I could complain about but I will stick to my main points so people read this.
I had a fault light come on my £22k car whilst under their 90 day warranty - they told me to go to a local garage however once they had the quote said it was ‘too expensive’.
Eventually they agreed to send me a courtesy and take my car back to Watford - the courtesy car was unbelievably unclean and stank - I did not even want to sit in it however I needed to be mobile and at the first roundabout a fault light came on and the car would not get out of neutral. After lots of stress and back and forth, they again agreed to send me a courtesy car.
After complaining of cleanliness, I expected a clean car however was dropped off something in the same condition - absolutely disgusting - their excuse this time was they rushed to get me another car so could not clean it. I would attach pictures if I could but trust pilot will not let me. As the car ‘is mobile’ I have to stick with this one A which again do not even want to sit in due to the smell and sitting in someone else’s crumbs etc.
Avoid at all costs if you want any sort of after service care.

The collection of vehicle was poor and took nearly one hour to locate the car. The refurbished wheels very poorly done, new stone chip in the window screen ( direct drivers eye line), The updated service history was incorrectly duplicated onto the car minus 11000 miles. I could not inspect the vehicle due to limited access to the vehicle onsite and was then asked to move the vehicle offsite. I shared this information and was told verbally and in writing a representative would be in touch between midday and 9pm. One day later nothing !!!

Very disappointing experience with this car dealership.
I had booked an appointment to view a specific car and drove nearly two hours in the rain to get there. However, upon arrival I was told that the car had already been sold two hours earlier, despite my confirmed viewing appointment.
What made the situation worse was the completely unprofessional attitude of the manager, Jay. He showed little interest in what had happened and did not seem to care that I had travelled such a long distance unnecessarily. There was no proper apology or attempt to offer an alternative solution.
This level of customer service is unacceptable. If a car is sold before a scheduled viewing, the least a company should do is inform the customer beforehand rather than letting them waste time and fuel travelling.
Overall, a very frustrating and unprofessional experience. I would recommend others think twice before booking a viewing here.

Shocking Dishonesty and Zero Accountability – Avoid Car Planet Watford
One of the most frustrating and dishonest car-buying experiences I've ever had. Car Planet Watford showed complete disregard for customers through repeated lies, broken promises, and total silence on complaints.
On 15 January 2026, I paid a £2,400 deposit for vehicle LK19 FRL after being clearly told it would be ready for collection the next day (16th at 19:00). I live over 90 minutes away, had lost my previous car in an accident, and urgently needed transport — so I arranged help and temporary insurance.
What followed was a nightmare of incompetence and deception:
- En route to collect, called to say flat battery (from valeting) + engine light — promised callback. Never happened.
- Over the weekend: endless contradictory stories from staff. One said car fully repaired and ready; salesman Ilyas said it wasn't and had no clue why the other lied.
- Promises of personal test-drive, dashboard photos, OBD scan proof, email with images — none delivered.
- "We'll call back in 15-20 mins" repeated over and over — zero follow-through.
- Staff dodging calls (ignored my number, answered partner's instantly — blatant avoidance).
- Downplayed faults with "we sell hundreds, odd one slips through" despite their boasted "150+ point inspection".
I racked up £187.62 in real losses: extended temp insurance (£81.85), admin fee (£22.07), fuel/mileage for wasted trips (£83.70 at HMRC rate) — all receipted. Manager verbally agreed in person (Sunday 18th) to refund my fuel for coming in due to their failures… never actioned.
Got the deposit refunded eventually, but not a penny for my costs or the massive inconvenience/stress when I was already without a car.
Formal complaint sent 21 January under Consumer Rights Act 2015 — requested response in 14 days. Silence. Follow-up 8 February with final 7-day deadline and small claims/Trading Standards warning — still no response as of present (8th of March). Shocking.
I have audio recordings of every call (lies, contradictions, named staff), in-person manager chat, call logs, receipts — ready as evidence.
This wasn't just poor service; it was systemic miscommunication, avoidance, and contempt for paying customers. If they treat buyers this badly over basic prep issues, imagine post-sale problems.
Avoid Car Planet Watford entirely. Plenty of other dealers exist — choose one that actually values honesty and communication. 1 star is being generous.

Car Planet listing cars falsely
If you’re considering buying a white BMW 2 Series DS18DWK from Car Planet, currently advertised as having 75825 miles, please be aware this is a lie. The car has just had a scrapyard engine put in that has done 82k mile. It was returned under the Consumer Rights Act due to a ridiculous amount of serious issues with the car and damage sustained in 3 places, caused by Car Planet themselves.
Good to see Car Planet learn nothing from past errors and continue to mislead customers and falsely represent cars that they sell. Reported to Trading Standards.

Worst experience I have ever had buying…
Worst experience I have ever had buying a car. I had to reject the car due to several problems, including a significant issue with the brakes. I would strongly question the robustness of their pre-sale car inspection/checks - I had to reconnect the rear number plate bulbs once I checked the car at home as they had forgotten to do this after a rear bumper repair. They tried to fix the electrical/braking issue but they couldn’t do this successfully and it took a long time. Customer service is appalling, picking up the phone is rare, email response is slow and often ineffective. Had a battle to get a refund for my private plates that were still on the car, I think they lost them but I’ll never know. Disappointed, frustrated and I won’t be going back to a car supermarket. Be very careful if you’re thinking of doing business with this company.
