Made the purchase at city plumbing barking at the bathroom showroom had a really helpful manager Jai made everything so easy, even when I changed things later down the process. Very reasonably priced, on parr with Wicks but better quality.
Opened a trade account and also received email saying 15% off next trade purchase. Tried to make purchase of Mira digital controller for over £600 and trade price no different to non trade customers. Also 15% discount code dissent work either. Spoke to local branch in Durham who said need to ring head office. Head office says nothing to do with them need to speak to local branch. Total waste of my time and effort so will be closing the account and taking business elsewhere
While internet shops said the item would be available in 2 -3 days, City Plumbing had it on the shelf, ready to buy, in under an hour.
A quick nip across town and - job done.
Friendly and professional.
I ordered a COM301 safety release valve from City Plumbing on the 5th of August, It was showing as "in stock" It was duly dispatched via DHL the next day on 24hr. delivery for which I paid a £9 premium. It was order number CPS36649377 (if your looking city plumbing) and tracking number 60120254496177 (if your looking DHL)
I am writing this review on the 23rd August.
To date I have still not received my order!!
After numerous, and I mean numerous emails to City Plumbing. I am no further forward. All I get are platitudes, and basically fobbed off.
As my contract is with City Plumbing and not DHL I have now on 3 separate occasions request a full refund of all monies paid.
None of these emails have been replied to, let alone actioned.
I find the customer service an absolute joke. I would never consider using them again.
I have since sourced the item from elsewhere and had it fitted.
Thanks for all your help City Plumbing (JOKE)
1st visit to city plumbing, granted its a Friday and 1630 in the day but I went in, walked up to the counter and there are 3 men going on about how good they are at golf, ignoring me of course. I took a tap valve with me and asked if they could give me the inners or something close....
Got the do you know what make the tap is malarkey... without that I cannot help!
I Made a sarcastic remark saying enjoy your golf boys and went into Screwfix down the road. Guy looked at my part and gave me something close. I took it home, removed the inners and bastardised my own valve. No more drip apart from this one.
Sort your customer service out!
Terrible service, and products, from Gillingham Kent Branch.
Ian Evans (who sold me the bathroom suite) stated he will take back a bath panel even though it’s a T item (non returnable unless faulty) also, be warned, most of their items on the invoice are a T items.
After chasing Ian for a while, asking when can I return the bath panel, Ian stated he will now have to check with his branch manager. Ian, has now stopped replying to my emails, I have since emailed Gillingham branch who also ignored my email.
Furthermore, the bath I purchased of City Plumbing, it did crack on the edge. After the tiler lent on it. Both plumber and tiler stated it should not crack even after being lent on, and they have both sat, stood, and lent on thousands of baths whilst working. It resulted in me calling in a bath doctor to repair, which cost me £228
Just cheap rubbish products from City Plumbing with no aftercare.
I own a number of properties which at least 6 are due a new bathroom. I will take my business elsewhere.
Found a product online which it said was in stock at the Bicester branch so I drove to the store. On arrival I was confronted by an angry looking man who took one look at the part I was holding and said “we don’t do those any more”. I showed him the product on my phone, and pointed to where it said they were in stock and ready for collection and he again reiterated that “they don’t do them”. I will not be using any of their stores or the website again!
We can highly recommend City Plumming on Gillingham Business Park.
We are renovating our bathroom and Holly was so helpful in our planning and selection of all items we needed.
She went out of her way to advise, make enquiries, organise our quote, and liase with our fitter.
She is a credit to her company and her help has convinced us to return again as our first port of call for future work.
Oct 2025 I was introduced to City plumbing by my plumber. The lady in the bathroom showroom was incredibly helpful helping us choose out bits and pieces for my downstairs and upstairs bathroom, I wanted new sinks taps and under sink cupboards.
When it came to fitting them and having arranged the time with the plumber, we had the day planned to fit everything and the plumber called City Plumbing but some parts had not arrived for the upstairs, they would arrive in 10 days.
We agreed just to do the downstairs, as plumber had his time set aside to do work in my house.
He went to City Plumbing on said day and contacted me to say the sink was missing, then it was found but the mixer tap wasn't found.
We had to arrange another day so the plumber lost time.
When the fitting of the downstairs unit was done, the unit wasn't level and the plumber said that the unit was warped.
We were promised a replacement from the manufacturer organized by City plumbing.
I didn't want to pay for the refitting so I lost my plumber.
My sink and unit aren't level.
And the doors don't close flush. I've tried a couple of plumbers who've been too busy or arranged to come and not turned up.
Life happened, I've been too busy to deal with finding more plumbers and waiting at home for them not to arrive. So there was quite a gap in my communication with City plumbing.
One day I noticed a refund for about £66 on my bank statement from City Plumbing, I called them, and it was because they had found a piece of work top that was going to be used in my upstairs bathroom and the lady that ordered it for me refunded it.
I've since called them now and again to check that they still have my other stuff before I arrange a plumber and they've said they can't find it and they'll get back to me the next day or as soon as possible.
They never got back to me.
I haven't organized a plumber because for a long time I've just been waiting to find out where my stuff is.
I get around to calling again and they tell me they'll call back.
The other day I went in and the assistant manager was very apologetic and very embarrassed about my whole situation, but didn't seem to be able to find any records of the things that I ordered. Thankfully I had photocopies of my order form or estimate with all the part numbers on.
He said hed be in touch the next day, and seemed so worried about the whole thing, I told him not to worry too much, but he insisted he would be in touch the next day, as there was some branch manager or somebody who was coming to visit the store who would be able to work out what had gone on.
He didn't get in touch.
A few days later I phoned, he said it'd been hectic at a shop, the ladies still there. He's going to talk to her and he will get back to me within 10 minutes.
He's never called back.
Then I noticed my downstairs sink is peeling.
It's not ceramic it's painted with something and there's a 2 inch circle that's peeling off in the middle of the basin.
Not very impressed.
At this point I want my downstairs sink and corner unit refitted for free by City Plumbing, I also want a new sink that is actual ceramic, and won't peel! I'd like a refund for everything that they have lost.
The service has been quite appalling although I do acknowledge I went a long time without getting in touch with them. But they've lost my things, and have not even offered me a refund. There seems to be some question about whether they even believe that they've got it?
Seems a bit odd not to have a system that tracks when people pick deliveries up.
There's hundreds of pounds worth of stuff gone missing.
I guess it's possible I might get a response after leaving this review?
I will update my review if I do.
City Plumbing in Stratford Upon Avon.
Chris , the manager, was super helpful in helping me select the right part to repair my toilet flushing system and in the process saved me a shed load of money. Everything now working as it should. Great help from this person.
We brought a Rhea toilet pack from the Ashford Branch , the first one was damaged on delivery, then a New toilet was ordered , when this arrived we had it installed, by a plumber and when the water was turned on we found that toilet was faulty it had a hairline crack in the base bend , that flooded our bathroom , again we telephoned city who swapped it for a new one , then just under the year that toilet developed a crack on the front lip , called city plumbing they swapped it over the box was tatty and tapped up with gaffa tape the toilet inside was very dusty and had a scratch , we also have a problem with the soft close toilet seat that creaks on opening and closing .We contacted the CEO of City plumbing , who is ignoring my complaint , so now we are taking action against them for plumbers install costs , plus a NEW one to be installed under the sales of goods Act 2015 for consequential losses as We cant keep paying plumbers to install and uninstall ,poor quality items supplied by City plumbing !. Don't fall fir the toilet 25 year guarantee , they will ignore you like they are doing with us .
Today we visited City Plumbing at Kingsteignton and saw Vicky to help us with new bathroom items and she was so very helpful and kind.I would recommend her to anyone who visits City plumbing for bathroom items because she was amazing..
City plumbing Shrewsbury branch are awful. Customer service was shocking when returning a shower tray. When unloading the tray I was told by CHRIS, I didn’t require the packaging as their supplier takes them back all the time without the packaging. Fast forward 3 weeks of them having the shower tray they email me saying I can’t have a refund. The branch manager ash/ashley then phones (who is a nasty chap), tells me I’m lying and his staff wouldn’t have said that! They had already made their mind up they weren’t returning the money. For anyone reading this, don’t bother using this branch, it’s absolutely awful.
We came to Nicola at the Kettering showroom when we were looking to renovate our bathroom, and we couldn’t be happier with the service we received. She was incredibly helpful in guiding us through choosing all the fixtures and fittings. We had a particularly awkward space for our bath, but Nicola worked so hard to make sure we got exactly what we were looking for.
She also recommended a fantastic plumber, who did an excellent job with the installation. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend City Plumbing and Nicola to anyone looking to renovate their bathroom. We’ll definitely be back in the future to sort out our downstairs toilet!
We ordered a full family bathroom and ensuite from City Plumbing Warrington. Aimee was amazing helping with full design. Nothing was too much trouble and she developed a number of designs and prices before we finalised exactly what we wanted. When our plumber was difficult she helped to resolve any issues we had. I cannot recommend her more highly for the products she recommended and the service she provided.
Over the last few weeks we have been assisted in no small way by Nicola Spicer at City Plumbing Kettering. Without Nicola's professional guidance we would not have ended up with the excellent result achieved.
Her knowledge, approach and assistance was invaluable in help direct us away from potentially poor and costly decisions into what has been a first class result. No hesitation in strongly recommending Nicola
Bought a product online and it wasn't available for delivery. Not sure why. So went to the store at Slough. The text message I was sent said they open at 6.30am. I arrived just after 6.30 the store was closed. Sign on the door said 7.30.
I sent a complaint last week and 7 days on still not had a reply. Instead I've received a marketing email every day.
Staff in store were friendly.
Would never use again.
I Visited the Braintree today for some help with some plumbing items for my Motorhome
Not sure of the Chap that helped me and spent time finding a Solution but the receipt reads BYEOM
Thanks again for the help
At City Plumbing in Newton Abbot today, we were met by advisor Vikki, who walked us through plans for a new shower room. She transformed our measurements into an actual design which was exactly what we wanted.
We were given fabulous detail and pricing. We really couldn’t have asked for better. Thank You
Well, well, well!
I went in the shop looking for an item, the guy at the desk said, we don’t store them. My wife phone the company and said we do have them in store, the lady laid aside the item. Maybe the guy doesn’t like foreigners, bad service from this guy.
Thanks again to the lady and the guy should be sacked!
