I first contacted Gill at DJ Alexander with a view to finding accommodation to rent in Aberdeeen. From the outset she was nothing short of professional and exceptional. What I appreciated the most was a completely human touch to a stressful experience. I would not hesitate in recommending both Gill and DJ Alexander.

Excellent experience with DJ Alexander Aberdeen, particularly with Gill Annand and Molly Edgar from the Rubislaw office. Gill was incredibly helpful throughout the application process — patient with my questions about the contract, and proactive in getting an updated EPC sorted before I signed. Molly made the move-in smooth, with a clear welcome pack and helpful advice on meters and utility suppliers. Really happy in my new flat and grateful for how professional and friendly the whole team was.

If I could give 0 Stars I would.
DJ Alexander has been consistently poor in communication, they never provided us a permit for parking, despite being asked early in the tenancy.
They provided an outdated electrical document at the start of the tenancy that I’m sure when it was updated was merely edited to look "good".
The property itself had multiple lights not working when we moved in and they have been more than unhelpful in supporting us in moving out.
They charge £30 for a reference which seems predatory and no other letting agent I have ever dealt with has done so. They refused to provide a reference after we paid this extortion as they claimed we had not given notice; we had a week prior. They have made every interaction difficult, and I would recommend people save themselves stress and money by not dealing with this company. They should be ashamed of how they treat people and have such a poor reputation in the city I must assume these 5* reviews are fake or paid for as I have never met anyone with anything positive to say about DJ alexander.
Avoid at all costs.

Excellent service from both Dora Alves at DJA and the contractor Tony Brown. I had an issue with my central heating when I arrived back after a week away. Dora gave me a call within a couple of hours of my reporting the problem on fixflo and Tony was at my door the same day. It took awhile to find out what the root cause was but it was fixed the same day. Many thanks!

We've been renting a property through DJ Alexander due nearly a year. Ailie Stewart has been our point of contact during that time, and she's been great. We've had some maintenance issues in the flat which have taken time to address, but Ailie has helped us by getting in touch with the maintenance team for us. Ailie is also quick to answer questions we have, she is very approachable and professional.

Connor Quinn is just amazing , very polite and friendly. He was able to identify a few things that needed to be taken care of in the property that I wasn’t aware. He definitely deserves a rise and promotion. Top notch 👍

My property relationship manager Gabrielle Kirkness prompty connected me to a contractor who was able to rectify the fault on my patio door . I’d tried to effect a repair but the contractor was able to fully adjust door settings . All done in a short time at my convenience.

Having a house inspection can feel quite intrusive, but Alexandra H made the whole experience really easy. She was friendly, informative and put me completely at ease. She came across as very professional and is a real credit to DJ Alexander. Thank you, Alexandra!
