All of the staff who have helped me at DJ Alexander were excellent. Recently, Leah Low has been helping with my rental property and she has been very kind and efficient. Sometimes, the company’s systems don’t always seem to connect well, but their staff are very friendly and helpful.

Connor was a great help in the stressful process of looking for a new home. He was on-time for our appointment, answered all questions honestly and truthfully and made a great job of guiding us through the process to have a successful application. We look forward to our new home and hope it's not the last time we interact with him.

Connor Quinn was a very good communicator and he really made me feel like I go could to him for everything flat related. He is also very friendly!

We had an awful experience renting through DJ Alexander. The property was handed over in a condition we considered unacceptable, including recurring mould, and numerous maintenance and cleanliness issues.

Despite reporting these problems with photographic evidence, we did not feel that our concerns were taken seriously. We were repeatedly told that the property’s condition was normal, that we should have identified these issues during the viewing, and that we could leave if we were unhappy.

Discouraged by the time taken to investigate, the handling of our formal complaint, and our concerns about the potential impact on our health, we ultimately gave notice and decided to vacate the property. The dispute remains unresolved, and we are pursuing the appropriate formal complaints process.

Based on my experience, I would advise both tenants and landlords to avoid this agency.

All the staff were very nice and swift, and made the application very smooth. Especially Cameron Lindsay who was very helpful and friendly.

We had an absolute nightmare experience with this agency. We rented a house for £4110/month (2 single 2 double bedrooms) outside the town centre, and after moving in, we realised the house was full of mould, dirty, and had broken fixtures. It caused us health issues, and despite contacting the agency multiple times, we ultimately had to give notice to leave to protect our health. Their communication and customer service are incredibly poor, and they even breached the privacy and access rules of our contract. I highly recommend landlords and tenants stay away from this agency unless you want a terrible experience where your health and privacy are not respected. Renting through this agency has been an awful experience. We moved into the property and found severe mould issues, filthy conditions, and broken fixtures throughout. I did manage to remove mould myself initially - I just could not stand it and agency was taking forever to fix it, but because of underlying neglect and damp issues, it is already aggressively coming back.

Living in these conditions quickly began affecting our health. Agency's communication was unhelpful and dismissive. They failed to resolve the issues in reasonable time and repeatedly disregarded our tenancy agreement regarding notice and privacy.

Because our health was being compromised and the property was essentially unlivable, we have already served our notice to leave early. Save yourself the stress, money, and health risks - neither tenants nor landlords should trust this agency to manage a home.

Renting a flat is a whole new experience for me and Gill Annand in the Aberdeen office has been extremely helpful. She’s kept us up to date with progress and talked us through all the ins and outs! Highly recommend.

Wonderful service from Jessica in the Aberdeen office. She has always been quick to respond to any of my queries/requests.

We have been using DJ Alexander for about 2 to 3 years now to manage our rental properties in Aberdeen, after they bought out our previous management company.
All in all they have done a very good job, with timely responses and periodic updates and detailed reports.
A special mention to Jessica Leggate in the Aberdeen office, who is a great point of contact and extremely polite and helpful.

Jessica, Aberdeen went the extra mile when my tenancy ended, which was very much appreciated and ensured the whole experience was smooth sailing as I was dealing with so much at the time.

I would genuinely suggest that any upcoming viewers of properties please ask for him as he will be unbiased ,kind and will always hear you out. He also tries his best to put your application through if it's good.

We were not feeling hopefull when it came to getting a home for us as just graduates , but at the end it was him who helped us.

If anyone at dj Alexander needs a raise ,that's him.

I had a very positive experience dealing with Kaylee at DJ Alexander Edinburgh during the end of my tenancy. She was extremely helpful, responsive and professional throughout the process.

There were a couple of outstanding matters that needed to be looked into, including a reimbursement from 2023 and a maintenance charge. Kaylee took the time to investigate both issues, kept me updated, and made sure they were resolved fairly and efficiently.

I really appreciated how approachable and proactive she was, particularly at what can otherwise be quite a stressful stage of a tenancy. Thank you again, Kaylee, for all your help and for making the end-of-tenancy process much smoother. I would happily recommend her and the Edinburgh Lettings team.

Once again Fraser stepped up and speedily and efficiently sorted out a serious Sink issue in our property. No fuss, job coordinated, quote arranged and completed, regular updates with us the Landlord and also with our New Tenants. Refreshing when someone exceeds our expectations not just once but twice in a matter of days. DJ Alexander through Fraser are setting very high standards in the industry. Well done.

The staff are generally very helpful. When settling into our rental flat Alison was hugely helpful and coordinated a lot of loose ends to get the property in great condition. She was also incredibly helpful when going through the End of Tenancy Report and we were able to recoup of majority of our deposit as a result. During our tenancy, it would take a long time for our issues to be resolved but I suspect that is more to do with our landlord's response times, than DJ Alexander. DJ Alexander have a huge presence in Edinburgh and their system seems to work/scale well, based on our experience. Recommend the company!

We always get updated reports and good services when we call the office , regarding issues and maintenance for our flat…
Like today, Elen was there doing an inspection. We received a full report and Pictures for the property, which is really good and gives us an update on the overall of our flat condition….
