Caroline is Fantastic!
She met every single expectation and more during the process of getting the flat. She went above and beyond exceeding our expectations and made sure to answer every question and cover any worries we may have had. She shown genuine interest in our lives and what we were looking for.

When collecting the keys, again she showed excitement for us and had lovely conversation the whole time.

We absolutely could not fault Caroline during this whole process and thank her deeply.

Overall, my experience with DJ Alexander has not been good. However, I would just like to thank Innes Donald, who re-instilled by belief in the company. They were very sloppy during my tenancy there, but at the end, for matters of moving out of my tenancy, Innes has been nothing but helpful and kind.

Great experience from DJ Alexander and in particular Jill Pirie at Inverurie office in getting my property prepared for rental in a prompt and efficient timeframe.

From initial visit to discuss rental opportunity, to getting contracts prepared and legal checks arranged, the whole process ran smoothly and ensured the tight timeframe I had requested was met.

I would highly recommend the service provided and look forward to working with Jill and the team moving forward in the future.

DJ Alexander's tenants moved out of a flat in our building leaving behind a pile of rubbish fly-tipped on the street. DJ Alexander did not remove it; instead several residents had to pack it up and take it to the recycling centre. We requested a modest payment for our time but this was refused. I asked them to remove their signage ( For Sale/Sold) from our property and they have not done so. I wouldn't employ or recommend this company

Ben Kelly from the Edinburgh office is fantastic. The move to the accommodation was not smooth (which was not within his control)however he was easy to contact and kept me in the loop with progress. He was so helpful and has a solution focused attitude

The company has been quite alright overall, in particular although our End of Tenancy Property Manager - Shannon Patrick; was just excellent at organising our move-out & keeping us in the loop with all relevant info.

This company’s signage is literally a red flag.

Take note - and if you know what’s good for you - avoid completely.

If you’re a prospective tenant, don’t just take my advice… read the pages and pages of reviews of this company from other people who have been put through hell by these people.

Junior lettings staff - who was given the responsibility by her management when she was 5 minutes in the door with zero experience to remotely manage a full electrical rewire of the flat I was due to move into, at the tail end of Covid. The electrics were malfunctioning, the walls were destroyed, the carpets were destroyed and every other general maintenance issue that was supposed to be taken care of before I moved in, she failed on. Then she went of a campaign of emotional manipulation in an attempt to wear me out when I was trying to have her take responsibility, admit fault and fix the damage. She didn’t fix anything.

I fixed everything myself - walls, floors, kitchen units, fireplace. I spent thousands of pounds doing so.

I should also add that the flat was on the market with no valid electric safety certificate and only after it was advertised, had people view, and a deposit paid and a let agreed did this junior notice that the EICR certificate (and others) had expired.

Not only was there no proper due diligence on my move in, there was no proper due diligence when the previous tenants moved out.

Sloppy.

Director of Property Management-. This vile excuse for a woman took no responsibility, never fixed anything and threatened my tenancy.

head of customer service - this vile excuse for a man - mishandled my formal complaint, took absolutely no responsibility for the problems they had created, admitted no fault, harassed me in the process, never resolved anything, and gave me no option but to seek compensation via a tribunal.

The case had so many items to be heard that it took 3 hearing, over 2 years.

As soon as the case was over, DJ Alexander sent me a notice to leave - citing that the landlord wanted to move a family member in.

This was a lie. The flat was back on the market less than 4 weeks after I moved out, with one of their red flags in the front garden.

For those who have read this far - also take note that they seem to respond to negative reviews by posting that we should reach out to customer service with our complaints - which given that they already know who I am very well, exposes their lack of care and negligence even more.

4 years of my life absolutely ruined by people who’s egos will not allow them so just say, sorry - I was wrong - let’s fix things.

The staff at DJ Alexander are very helpful and communicative. The relationship manager, Gabrielle was very good at quickly solving the leak in the property.

cameron lindsay was great! he came and showed us the flat with a lot of care. he was punctual and professional. would 100% recommend!

From start to finish, my experience was completely seamless. A huge special mention goes to Robin Henderson. Robin showed me around properties, was never pushy and never tried to lead me — everything was wonderfully relaxed, and I was able to go entirely at my own pace. He was always easy to reach by phone or email, and answered every single question I had with clear confidence and expertise. I couldn’t have asked for better support.

The experience was absolutely excellent, Cameron Lindsay was helping me and responding rapidly throughout the process, and made sure I had no queries or concerns about the property. And the application process and required documents were communicated in advance.

I had an amazing experience with DJ Alexander while finding my flat, but I especially want to mention Caroline, who was absolutely incredible throughout my check-in.

From the moment I met her, she was so warm, sweet, and welcoming. She was extremely helpful, patient, and caring, and made the whole check-in experience feel effortless.

Christopher was also lovely and handled all of the documents brilliantly. He was kind, helpful, and made that side of the process very smooth.

Scott has been organising and looking after my properties for many years. Scott has always gone above and beyond and nothing has been too much trouble. Living overseas Scott has greatly contributed to giving me peace of mind that properties are well maintained and being looked after.

Excellent experience with Kavya Arenahalli! She is professional, friendly, responsive, and truly goes above and beyond for her clients. Her guidance made the entire property process smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend Kavya for her outstanding service and dedication!
