Great and thorough full strip down service. Figured out the previous bottom bracket installation was faulty and had put the bearing cups on the wrong way round fixing the most annoying issue with my DI2s. Awesome service.

Courteous and professional. Job done well, on time, at price quoted (change back tube and replace brake cable).

I would highly recommend Fettle. The mechanic who carried out the repair to my road bike was helpful and very efficient, and was able to carry out the work while I was there.

I’m very happy with the service I received today! Rafael was absolutely fantastic — friendly, professional and very efficient. He replaced my inner tube and tyre in just 15–20 minutes and also gave the wheel an additional service.

He kindly checked my brakes as well and explained what else may need attention on my bike, which I really appreciated.

The whole process was so easy, from booking to payment. I received the invoice straight to my phone and paid quickly and easily.

Very disappointing experience – puncture repair not resolved

I took my electric bike to Fettle for a puncture repair and was charged £35, which I already felt was quite expensive for what appeared to be a straightforward puncture repair. Nevertheless, I was happy to pay, expecting the issue to be properly resolved.

Unfortunately, when I collected the bike the following day, the same tyre was flat again. As I had not even ridden the bike after collecting it—it had simply been parked at home—I contacted Fettle and explained that the original repair clearly hadn’t resolved the problem. They agreed to check it again.

The following day, I was contacted and told that the issue could be fixed, but I would have to pay again. I explained that I had not used the bike at all and that the puncture had reappeared while the bike was simply parked. Despite this, I was asked to pay the full amount again. They kindly offered a £10 discount, so I paid another £25 for the repair.

Sadly, the problem happened again on the very same day. That evening, the tyre was flat once more. At this point, I decided not to contact Fettle again because I was concerned that I would simply be asked to pay another £35 for the same unresolved issue.

What concerns me most is that the bike went to a professional bike repair shop twice for the same problem, and the issue has now occurred three times within just a few days. I have spent £60 in total, yet I am still left with a flat tyre and an unrepaired bike.

One of the team members also mentioned during the first visit that they couldn’t actually find a puncture and instead changed the air-pressure valve/nozzle. If the tyre continues to lose air immediately after two separate repair attempts, I would have expected an experienced bike repair shop to investigate the underlying cause—whether it was the tube, valve, tyre, rim, or something else—and identify the problem properly.

I appreciate that Fettle staff were polite and did offer a £10 discount on the second visit. However, the main issue is that the repair did not solve the problem, despite paying for the service twice.

As a customer, I expect a professional repair to resolve the issue or, at the very least, for the underlying cause to be properly identified before charging for another repair. Unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience.

Overall, a very disappointing experience. I paid £60 for two repair attempts and still have the same flat tyre.

No hassle bike repairs completed, runs smoothly now. Great communications throughout, including quote prior to repairs.

Easy to book in, helpful, bike working smoothly when I got it back. I’d been told by another mechanic that my bike needed a new drive train because it was throwing off the chain and jumping gears. Hundreds of pounds. They looked at it, straightened the derailleur, made a couple of adjustments and checked the brakes out. £80.

These guys are so awesome - the process of organising collection and repair of my bikes couldn’t have been easier and they came back looking good as new. The team even managed to source a difficult to find part for my broken e-bike and get it up and running again. Couldn’t recommend more!

Absolutely amazing work just now. It was my son's birthday today and I had tried to put his bike together myself and it did not go to plan so I went straight over to my nearest bike repair shop (no appointment) and it happend to be Fettle in Cardiff Cowbridge Road at around 11am and Gafyn (sorry if I got the name wrong) did an absolutely amazing job and saved the day.

Incredible service - snapped a chain cycling in Hyde park - called the shop, walked the bike too them and they fitted chain and did basic checks and I pedalled away 20mins later. Friendly, skilled and a real help

I dropped by at à really busy period and they fit me in and did a great job. I’ll definitely go back.
