Dont recommend them at all. I got my stuff almost one month after the scheduled date. boxes came torn. unprofessional pickup persons.

My team was awesome! Polite, positive and they asked questions when needed. They worked so hard and were truly grateful for the lunch I provided.

Greatest movers! The team of men who did my move a year ago I requested for my recent move. They are amazing, considerate and make the job go smoothly. The day of my move there was a minor glitch but the company’s response team took care of me and made sure I was happy and satisfied with choosing their service. I highly recommend.

Flat Rate was superior in helping me reschedule my move dates and on moving day the guys were so quick and professional! Moving is always stressful and I think this is the first time I felt like I was getting the best movers in the area! Flat Rate was priced reasonably and the communication on moving day was top notch! Flatrate helped me move my 90-year-old mother-in-law within building. We figured we would have Flatrate just move the big stuff and we would move all the little stuff (kitchen, bathroom, etc.). The crew foreman saw where we were and said he thought they could do it all much faster and better than we could - and he certainly was right! They were done with everything in about 2 hours - would have taken me several weeks. The crew was incredible. The Flatrate company uses excellent technology, kept me informed before, during and after the move. And, their rates were incredibly reasonable. I can't think of anything negative to say about them - if you need to move in New York City, they are simply the best choice.

Initial contact was thorough, answered all my questions, good price, actual movers were also excellent. Done quickly and very conscientiously, much appreciated.

Avoid for international moves.

My shipment has been sitting in a warehouse for weeks with no confirmed booking, no clear timeline, and almost no communication. I’ve provided everything required and repeatedly asked for basic information (e.g. when it’s actually shipping), but responses are slow, vague, or non-existent. Phone calls go unanswered.

This isn’t a one-off delay—it’s a lack of operational control and accountability. Once your goods are in their system, you have very little visibility or leverage.

If you need a reliable, time-bound move, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

FlatRate made a bit of a frustrating move a much easier process. They were able to easily provide COIs and were very detailed oriented in providing info about freight elevators, prep work, and more. They sent over boxes beforehand that arrived very quickly. Day of, they arrived at 8:30 and got right to it. The carpentry team was able to disassemble and reassemble our linked desks pretty quickly. They wrapped up around 5pm for a full office move. Thank you to Joseph and Stephen and the rest of the team!

The team showed up promptly, had all my furniture and things wrapped and protected and moved out of my apartment in an hour. They helped fill my storage unit, and got the last of my things with me into my new apartment. The whole process was 4 hours top to bottom. Worth every penny. Thank you for all your help and your lovely staff.
