I went in to purchase a dark shirt for an upcoming funeral, mentioning to the Greek lass serving me (who’s name sadly escapes me!) that I had just collected a new suit from a nearby retailer and wasn’t happy with the fit (after alterations!) so intended to not wear the jacket at all.

After a bit of quick chatting, she had sized me up by eye and grabbed a jacket off the peg which fit me 100x better than the one I’d just collected down the road. I explained the urgency (I was flying to Thailand in 72h for the funeral) and she immediately set to work organising a nearby tailor to sort the length on my trousers and the sleeves on the jacket.

Start to finish in store was 25 minutes. Service was beyond stellar. Suit was miles better than the one I’d bought elsewhere (which was promptly returned!) and I went to the funeral looking like I was wearing a well-fitted suit (rather than a child borrowing a parents’..!)

Grabbed 4 shirts, suit, tie, hanky, all of which was ready to go within 48h for my flight and all of which was keenly commented on by friends and family at the funeral.

Cannot thank you enough for turning it around on such short notice. <3

I ordered a double breasted suit. The trousers were available, not so the jacket.

Without the jacket, I don’t need the trousers.

The customer service at the Edinburgh shop could not be better. Evidently they only hire the best there. NO ONE designs men's shirts as stylish, unique and colourful, not even close! The trousers and suits, like the shirts, fit fantastically and are elegant and sheer class. H&C has quickly become my favourite men's wear brand.

I had a fabulous experience at the Edinburgh store. Satty was particularly friendly, patient and gave extraordinary fashion advice with regards to the suits and shoes I bought. He was very willing to help. The quality of the suits is truly top class and I would recommend Hawes and Curtis to anyone looking for fantastic formalwear.

The whole process was faultless from start to finish, personally the online and collect from the Branch is the best scenario, with always the added temptation that I might spend more when I collect so a possibly win win from both sides.

The website was user friendly and straight forward. The time from order confirmation to pick up available was swift. Emails were timely to let me know when the order was ready for pick up.

The area lacking was customer service and general manner when I collected the order from the store. I have lived in Japan for 10 years, so naturally I am accustomed to an extremely high level of service.

The quality of the shirts are totally exceptional.
I have not own such a nice shirt and over 10 years.
Well done to all concerned in this business you should do well, too many people cut corners and cut the cloth from shirts in the UK, but this company does not.

Click and collect service was fast and easy except for the guy who attended to me asking me if I came with the card with which I made the payment. That was an unnecessary question as I came with my passport and email as instructed by H&C. I didn't come for refund, I still wondered why he asked me that question, probably because of the way I was dressed and he felt I couldn't afford it?
