Hi Maud,
Sorry to hear this, and thank you for flagging it.
I'd like to look into this properly rather than respond in general terms. Could you let me know a bit more about what happened, at benw@morganmallet.co? Specifically what made the interaction feel dishonest, and who the second person was you're referring to. Without that detail I can't take it to the right people or make sure it doesn't happen again.
We take this seriously. If something went wrong on a call with you, I want to know exactly what it was.

Very unprofessional

Danielle was kind during our first meeting; however, I believe she tends to make quick judgments. In addition, on the day of my interview, I logged in at the agreed time and no one showed up. When I contacted Danielle, she informed me that the person had a medical emergency, which suggests that the meeting had not been properly confirmed in advance.

I have made several follow-up attempts and have received no response.

Investing time, following instructions, completing assessments, and allowing my references to be contacted—only to receive no professional response whatsoever—seriously makes me question the quality of the service and the true purpose of these recruiting companies. Zero professionalism.

Of course, I can only assume that after leaving this negative review, I am more likely to receive a negative response than an honest acknowledgment of the lack of professionalism shown throughout this process.

Hi Fabiana,
Thank you for writing this, and I'm really sorry. What you went through is not how we want anyone to feel after applying with us.
Danielle is no longer at the agency, so I can't go back and unpick what happened on the day.
But a missed interview with no proper heads-up, then silence after you put the work in with assessments and references, is not okay. You gave us your time and you deserved a straight answer, even if the answer was no.
One thing I want to be clear on, because you raised it: leaving an honest review does not change how you are treated by us. Your file is still active and any application going forward will be looked at fresh, by a different recruiter.
Thanks again for telling us what happened,

My experience with Morgan and Mallet…

My experience with Morgan and Mallet hasn't been pleasant unfortunately.

The recruiters seem to ghost you after you take the time to chat and send over relevant materials .

A recruiter handling the middle East reached out to me introducing her self and Morgan and Mallet. We spoke about my background and what kind of next role am looking for.
She promised to get back to me and since then I never heard back from her not even with a hi there's a new role that might be a good fit for you , are u interested?

I sent several follow ups just total silence and ignore like read messages no reply
( unprofessional and disrespectful I must say).

Everyday going through the website I saw roles that were a good match and wondered why no one reached out and even after taking the time to apply I never heard anything back.

Funny part is I was contacted few times only for long standing roles and that had very low pays.

It was really disrespectful and unprofessional.

I think a relationship with a candidate means support means clarity means we have you on mind we remember you that's why we kept you in our system.

It hasn't been a good experience:(

Hi Nora,
Thank you for writing this, and I'm sorry. You took the time, you sent your materials over, you followed up, and you got silence. That's not on, and I understand why it left a bad taste.
The Dubai market has been moving fast and our team there has been stretched, but that's our problem to manage, not yours. A quick "no update yet" message takes thirty seconds and you should have had that, at the very least.
On the roles you saw on the site that looked like a match: you're right to ask why. Sometimes a role gets handled by a specific recruiter who has the family relationship, and applications from outside their channel don't always get worked through fast enough. That's something we're trying to fix internally.
If you'd like, I can flag your file to our Dubai team so a different recruiter takes a fresh look. Just reply here or drop a note to benw@morganmallet.co and I'll make sure it gets picked up.
Thanks again for the honesty. We needed to hear it.

Unprofessional, Unqualified Recruiter

This company hires recruiters from a corporate background who lack the industry knowledge required to speak with any real understanding of private service roles.
I spoke with Jonathan de Vanderbilt from the NY office and when I asked informed questions about the position, instead of taking accountability and saying he would follow up with the client, he became defensive and dismissive. He avoided specifics because he did not understand the dynamics of the role. His communication was careless and disrespectful. Messages were either ignored, answered late, or responded to with irrelevant or curt remarks that showed no attention to detail or respect for the candidate.
The company’s owner frequently posts on LinkedIn about their supposed thorough due diligence with candidates. That makes their decision to hire someone without any private service background even more concerning. This recruiter only writes job descriptions without understanding the nuances of the positions. He does not ask the real questions that matter to experienced candidates or discerning clients. I was later contacted by a different recruiter for the exact same role, who shared critical information that this recruiter had never mentioned. That alone showed how little effort he makes to understand the client or the job. He is not a true recruiter in this field, merely an intake processor.
This individual projects one face to the client but treats candidates in a way that reflects poorly on the entire firm. A recruiter representing private families and UHNW households must demonstrate discretion, accuracy, and respect. He demonstrated none of these qualities.
Among professionals in this field, this firm already carries a reputation for treating candidates poorly. My experience only confirmed that reputation. I would not recommend engaging with this recruiter or trusting him to represent you accurately to a discerning client.

Hi Lea,
Thank you for taking the time to write this in detail. I'm sorry your experience with our New York office fell short, and I want to respond to what you've raised properly rather than brush past it.
On Jonathan: the points you make about communication, follow-through, and depth of knowledge of the role are taken seriously. Our recruiters should be the ones asking the harder questions, not the candidates having to chase them. If a second recruiter on the same role gave you information the first one hadn't shared, that's a gap we need to close internally, and I've flagged this to Morgan and Laurine directly.
On the wider point about hiring recruiters from outside private service: it's a fair thing to raise. We do have team members who come from corporate recruitment alongside those with deep private household experience, and the pairing is meant to work in the candidate's favor. When it doesn't, that's on us to fix, not something you should have to work around.
I won't try to talk you out of your view of M&M. What you experienced is what you experienced. If you'd be open to it though, I'd like to make sure your file is handled by a different recruiter going forward. Just reply here or email benw@morganmallet.co and I'll arrange it.
Thanks again for the feedback. The detail in it is genuinely useful.

BEWARE

BEWARE! We hired a “new born care specialist” through candidates they provided and the experience was less than professional. Our “specialist” had to end her contract abruptly and 2 months early, and we had to reach out to Morgan and Mallet FIVE TIMES before getting some junior level response. When I requested we speak to someone senior at the company, the “co-founder” said he was based in Dubai and could not speak with me. So they’re fine to take international clients money, but refuse to speak with them because their Director is based in Dubai?? Their leadership is dismal, their response to our situation was comically bad, and they’re refusing to refund us the large fee we paid them for the length of the contract with our specialist, even though she is not working for us anymore. They also have yet to send the credentials of our specialist that were represented on her resume. I would not trust this organization for any kind of staffing needs… this is not “white glove” service… this is lipstick on a pig.

Hi Rachel,
Thank you for writing this, and I'm sorry. Hiring a newborn care specialist is one of the most sensitive placements a family can make, and what you've described, the early end of contract, the slow response, the leadership not getting on a call, falls well below what you should expect from us.
I want to address the points one by one rather than give you a generic reply.
On the response time: five follow-ups before a proper reply is not acceptable. When a placement ends abruptly, especially for newborn care, you should hear from a senior person quickly. That this didn't happen is something we've reviewed internally.
On the call with leadership: the time zone explanation isn't good enough. We have founders and senior recruiters across the US, UK, France, and the UAE, and one of them should have been on a call with you the same week, regardless of where Morgan was based at the time.
On the credentials and the refund: I'd like to look at this properly rather than respond to it publicly. If you're open to it, please email benw@morganmallet.co with your file reference and I'll personally make sure it lands with Morgan or Laurine, not a junior team member. You're owed a direct answer on both points.
Thanks again for taking the time. I know this won't undo the experience, but the feedback is being heard.

Professional agent

I applied for a job at this company not so long ago, then one of their agents, Mr. Dave Lasponas, message me via whatsapp informing that I am shortlisted for an interview. He was very generous that he accomodate me even after office hours. He is a fellow kababayan, hence the generosity and kindness speak for himself. He was also transparent and professional during the interview. I can’t thank him enough for the gesture.
