These people are nothing but Crooks. They force you to pay a monthly fee for ink that you do not receive and pay for you do not receive. Then they threaten you if you cancel the service you cannot use their ink. Come on guys we're not in Russia. Total scammers

Not having to worry about ever running out of ink,do have problem seeing how many sheets I've printed which is an absolute pain, but would, and have told all my friends and family to use this service

I receive ink as and when I need it. Paying monthly on my pension makes printing affordable.

My ink is always there when i need it, as simple as that. I like the fact that i can alter my plan as and when I want to.

Always ensures that my replacement cartridges arrive well in advance of needing them, I've never had any issues with the instant ink process, very satisfied customer

Reply from HP Instant Ink
The ink always arrives before you run out, the cartridges last longer than the shop bought ones, the price is good

Peace of mind that my printer is taken care of. One less thing to worry about.

I think I have been a client for 6 years now. Frankly, the system works very well. High quality ink arrives when it is needed and the charges per month are to me very reasonable. On a few occasions I have had need to contact the company and that always resolved the issues without difficulty.

Dislike the fact it’s so hard to find the documents you scan and save to hp app, when you want to view them at a later date. Not easy to navigate app

Wish I could give no stars. Ripoff instant ink, no cartridges for over a year so stop paying haven’t printed for nearly a year but when trying to print 1 sheet I can’t. Basically you are renting the ink cartridge it’s not yours. Binning the hp printer and will tell anyone and everyone I know never buy HP.
I’ve been contacted by trustpilot to add more information.
I don’t have to reply to them. They are a ripoff and there are many people waking up to this fact. You have to basically factory reset and reinstall in a different manner without a certain option enabled to get your printer to work again. I’m au fait with technology so not an issue for me, but what about those that aren’t? Basically HP brick your printer by sending a remote drm to your printer. Some people are buying cartridges that still won’t work with this “blocked” printer. So no I won’t be offering them any more information. I’ve had a conversation with them on the phone and they couldn’t care less.

I have used Instant Ink for some years and it seemed good when my partners and I were printing 100+ pages a month. Unfortunately he has advanced dementia and I alone probably print only a handful of pages a month. I have been paying for 50 pages for a long time and decided I was wasting money. So I cancelled. They wrote to me today to say that I cannot use what is left of the ink in the printer cartridges - although I think I have paid for it - and the printer now shows 'Error Status' by something they have done. They want me to buy new cartridges and waste the old ones. MEAN AND NOT VERY GREEN. I think I shall buy a new printer instead from a company that is fairer to their customers and to the planet.
So in reply HP spout the same polished nonsense to every reply, Cut and paste without going through the brain of anyone. Fine. But HP have lost a customer. My laptop is HP. When it is due to be replaced I will go elsewhere. Same for printer. Same for everything else. Why would anyone want to do business with a company that is deaf and blind to customer complaints.

Dear HP Customer Services,I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my HP Instant Ink and paper subscription services.Having recently reviewed my account, I have discovered that I have been paying:£6.49 per month for Instant Ink for the last 24 months (£155.76 total)£10.98 per month for paper for the last 24 months (£263.52 total)This means I have paid a total of £419.28 to HP over the last two years. What is particularly frustrating is that I have barely used the printer during this period. In fact, I have not actively used the printer for well over 12 months, yet I have continued to be charged every month. To make matters worse, I currently have approximately 12 brand-new ink cartridges sitting unused. Despite paying for these subscriptions, I have now cancelled my account and discovered that I am unable to use ink cartridges that I have effectively paid for because they are linked to the subscription service. This feels completely unreasonable and unfair.I would also like to highlight my dissatisfaction with the printer itself. The print quality has been poor, the printer frequently fails to connect, and HP Smart appears to create a dependency on ongoing subscriptions simply to keep the printer functioning as expected. The overall experience has been extremely disappointing.I feel that I have spent over £419 for a service and products that I have not used and, in many cases, could not use effectively due to the poor performance of the printer and subscription restrictions.I would also like to express my dissatisfaction with the level of customer service I have received throughout this experience. The entire subscription model feels misleading and designed to generate recurring payments regardless of whether customers are actively using their printer. The fact that I have paid over £419.28, have barely used the printer for over 12 months, and am now left with approximately 12 unused cartridges that cannot be used after cancellation is completely unacceptable. What has made this even more frustrating is the difficulty in finding a clear route to raise a complaint or speak to someone who can take ownership of the issue. The customer experience has been extremely poor from start to finish.Unless this matter is resolved fairly, I fully intend to share my experience publicly through Trustpilot, Google Reviews and other consumer review platforms. Based on my experience, I would be leaving a one-star review. If there were an option to leave zero stars, that would more accurately reflect my experience as a customer.I have spent over £419 with HP and have received very little value in return. I sincerely hope HP will take this complaint seriously and provide a fair resolution. As a result, I am requesting:A full refund for the paper subscription charges incurred over the last 12 months, as the paper has not been used.A review of the Instant Ink charges and a refund for unused subscription fees where appropriate.Instructions for returning the unused ink cartridges currently in my possession.A resolution regarding the inability to use cartridges that I have already paid for.I would appreciate a prompt response and a fair review of this matter. As a long-standing customer, I find this experience incredibly disappointing and feel that the subscription model has resulted in me paying hundreds of pounds for products and services that I have received little to no value from.I look forward to hearing from you.Kind regards,Natasha Griggs

Awful controlling big brother. We have more than paid enough over the years with subscription for the ink we don't really very much at all. So we decided to stop the subscription to save money, and we have a cartridge left which we would have paid off by now easily. But they have somewhere blocking the use of it just because they can't get their subscription still it's like trying to leave the mafia. Thanks for the years of payment from HP non-existent

There is absolutely nothing good about this program. I was not able to use the roll over pages, customer service is extremely hard to reach, the printer- brand new straight from HP- frequently didn’t work, no help available. I attempted to cancel instant ink after losing my whole house to a house fire, they kept charging me anyways so I had to contest the charges with my cc company and I’m still getting emails from hp asking me for money and threatening that I won’t be able to use my printer. My hp printer is the only thing I don’t regret losing in the fire.

My ink cartridge was defective. It took over 30 minutes on the phone and being passed around repeating myself multiple times, troubleshooting and then have to wait 7-10 days to get a replacement. Unacceptable service.

HP Instant Ink is a scam! Paid monthly and never got any replacement ink. I cancelled my subscription a10 days before my subscription and I still have a charge on my credit card.
