It's got a good range of equipment and isn't busy, but the air conditioning is bobbins. On a cool day at about 1/3 full. It's like walking into a rainforest.

I’ve noticed and increasingly amount of younger people school/college age have joined. This is great to see, but I do think a lot don’t no what they are doing so standing talking around the equipment not actually really using so it has impacted on how much I can do, I’ve seen others talking about the same thing.
I’m all for them using a joining it’s great to see young people doing it but they may need a guidance around equipment.

I recently switched to this gym after around 4–5 years at PureGym, so I do have a fair point of comparison.
Unfortunately, my experience so far hasn’t been great. The gym doesn’t feel as clean as it should be, which is quite disappointing.
The main issue, however, is the equipment. Compared to PureGym, the machines here are not very user-friendly. They are quite difficult to adjust, and it’s not always clear how to use them properly. I often find myself struggling to set them up correctly, which makes workouts less enjoyable and more frustrating.
There also seems to be less variety in the equipment, and it’s not always obvious what each machine is designed for or how to use it safely.
I also noticed something quite concerning yesterday. While I was lying on the floor doing abs, I looked up at the ceiling windows and saw that they were covered in spiders and cobwebs.
Even though the ceiling is quite high, this is something that should still be cleaned regularly. It’s not very hygienic, and there’s always a risk that spiders or debris could fall down, which isn’t pleasant and could potentially cause skin issues.
This really added to my concerns about the overall cleanliness of the gym.
Overall, I feel that the gym could really improve in terms of cleanliness, equipment usability, and clarity of instructions.

Very busy gyms and the equipment isn't as good as other gyms I have been to. Prices are good, of course, and the staff were friendly. The main thing that frustrated me, however, was when I came to cancel my membership. I sent them an email as the app states and got a response saying they will take one final payment and then my membership will be cancelled a month later. No. I said I wanted to cancel it then and use my membership until the time I had already paid till. A lot of people may feel this is what they have to do then to cancel. You don't. You can cancel your membership straight away, and you do not need to keep it going on and give them a month's notice; don't be tricked. Cancel your direct debit and that will do it. I don't like how companies try to take additional payments, knowing many people won't question it and will just go along.

I’m having a really good experience at the gym, and everything there is great. There’s just one really big downside, which is that the number of workout machines is pretty limited. So whenever you want to use a machine, you have to wait at least somewhere between 5 to 15 minutes because there just aren’t enough of them. This is especially true for the leg extension and leg curl machines, which they definitely need more of given the size of the gym. In my opinion, that’s really the only drawback of the gym—just the lack of enough machines.

The gym itself is good, but waiting 10/15 minutes for every piece of equipment is isn't worth the price a 1hour session could turn into 2 hours and barely done anything.

I am very impressed with all aspects of the gym. Friendly staff. Great facilities.

The facilities are large enough, but the gym is always overcrowded at all times. I have been there in the morning, afternoon, and evening, on weekdays and weekends, and there has not been a single day when I felt comfortable or felt that I had enough space to take my time.
Regarding the equipment, there is clearly not enough of it. The building is very large, but a significant amount of space feels wasted rather than being used effectively.
As for the changing rooms, I do not like that the toilets are in the same area with no separating door. As a result, unpleasant smells spread into the changing area.
Finally, although I received a discounted price for the first month, I did not like the fact that I was charged before I agreed to set up a direct debit. This felt like an unnecessary way to pressure customers into proceeding.

The gym has great equipment a lot of variety however there is a few out of order that have been out for a while so the gym to get there equipment sorted take their time also the gym gets so so so busy and people take up machines and just sit on their phone which is annoying but overall the gym clean and workouts can be done

jd gyms wythenshawe might be one of the worst evolving gyms i've ever been too. 4 years ago when i first joined the gym had a minimal peak of people where it was busy but never busy where it took you 3 hours to complete a workout like now. Machines are constantly broken , changing room facilities are never properly cleaned and always stink , the one pass a day into the gym is a joke for 28.99 , building a barbers in the gym??? , manager gives little to no care about anything. This gym is outdated and struggling in dire need of new equipment and MORE so it can account for the 100+ people 6pm gym hour. If nothing improves soon will be taking my money elsewhere and not putting it into this gym
