Top website developer and designer

Have worked with Chris for many years on lots of different projects.

When it comes to website development he has never let us down.

Most recently, he helped us with a client's site that had been hacked. He worked tirelessly to clear out the hacker and infected files, all outside of usual working hours.

Cannot recommend him enough.

Book reviews

Book Review: That’s Okay and That’s Happy by Chris Dixon

At Capella House, a SEND school supporting pupils with Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN), we have found Chris Dixon’s books That’s Okay and That’s Happy to be invaluable resources in helping our pupils understand and navigate their emotions.

These books are presented in an easy-to-understand language that resonates well with our pupils, many of whom benefit from clear, simple, and direct communication. The accompanying illustrations are engaging and accessible, further enhancing understanding and making the books visually appealing.

The themes in That’s Okay and That’s Happy align seamlessly with our approach to supporting pupils’ emotional development. By validating a range of emotions and offering relatable scenarios, the books encourage self-reflection and provide practical strategies for managing feelings.

Our pupils have responded enthusiastically to these books, often returning to them independently as a source of comfort and guidance, particularly during challenging times. They also serve as a fantastic springboard for staff-led discussions about emotions, promoting a safe and supportive environment for pupils to express themselves.

We highly recommend Chris Dixon’s work to other SEND settings or anyone seeking thoughtful and accessible resources for helping children explore and understand their feelings. These books have made a positive impact at Capella House, and we’re excited to continue using them to support our pupils’ emotional well-being.

Excellent Book

That's Okay! Is well presented with easy to read words for children accompanied by illustrations which help children with difficulties like Autism understand how they feel when they struggle to understand emotions themselves. My son and daughter loved the book.

Fantastic resource

This will be an invaluable resource in my early years setting. Bright fun illustrations alongside accessible text displaying an understanding of children’s emotional states and self awareness. Also useful as a recommendation for parents/carers. Highly recommend.

Excellent set of books

I have been looking for these kinds of books for years. As an experienced primary school teacher, we are often looking for books that enable children to gain the vocabulary they need to communicate their feelings. The 'Thats Okay' book, as well as the Grief book are particularly valuable to have for families as well as educators. Ive even found myself using the vocabularly since bying the book and sharing with schools through the work I do as a freelance educator. Well done to both Chris and Michelle. Also the colouring in books are a really great idea and really keep the conversations going about emotions.

Absolutely amazing books …

Absolutely amazing books packed with so much knowledge for little people in both main stream and special needs education that explain through beautiful illustrations what they're experiencing through emotions and why. I've bought all three books and can highly recommend. We need more please Chris.

JUST WONDERFUL!

JUST WONDERFUL!! This book was brought for a present for my daughters 6th birthday. It couldn't have come at a better time. The process of trying to understand feelings is not an easy one! As parents it can also be difficult to help our little people realise all these feelings are normal. This book does it all and in such a great way that the messages are so quickly absorbed. We as a family have had so much enjoyment reading this book that we can't wait to get the others. All schools, educational settings and families need these books! Thank you Chris, keep them coming!!

Beautifully crafted children's books

It's a beautifully crafted children's book that not only entertains but also provides valuable lessons about emotions and the environment. Chris has created a story that is simple yet powerful, making it accessible for young readers while still offering deep, thoughtful messages.
The illustrations are vibrant and engaging, perfectly complementing the storyline, and making it easy for children to connect with the characters and themes. It’s a book that parents and educators alike will find useful in guiding children through emotional intelligence and environmental awareness.
"That's Okay" is a must-read for any child growing up in today’s world.
