Do not rely on Marks and Spencer.

I have copied below my review of M&S (which they asked for) and their response. The whole point was that the sandwiches ordered did not arrive. They want to reject that as a complaint and not accept the review because it was a delivery fault. THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT.

Also when you click on the "edit and submit" link, it does not take you to anywhere you can actually edit or add to your review.

A very flattering T-shirt - the design I've been waiting for!

This is a review for the M&S rouched ladies' T-Shirt - to date I've bought 4 of these in the last 2 weeks. 2 white and 1 spotty (ordered online to come to my local store). Lovely fit, and they all washed well, and this morning my most recent purchase (a black version) bought in store at Winchester. A soft, light cotton that's perfect for summer heat, gently gathered at the sides into a very flattering waisted shape - it's the T-shirt I've always wanted, and at an excellent price. So, so pleased with this design.

M&S down hill now no local contact

Previously, I could ring my local store. Now, I get put through to somewhere abroad, who tells me my order is not in store on the agreed date. Calmly, I say this is fine, but I need them to extend the collection date therefore, as we only go into town once a week. Later the same day, and automated email tells me the order is now in, but I have even less time to collect it!! When you phone, they say all they can do is cancel the order and you have to reorder. But given I don't know when they'll get it in, and can only collect on Thursdays I'm stuffed. I'll have to order the same thing every day for the next week, and hope that one of them arrives on the right day! Badly done M&S

Rude staff on tills today

Rude staff on tills today ravenhead. My card declined and Instead of advising me in a customer friendly manner he shrugged his shoulders at me making me feel awkward and embarrassed.i work retail and always go out of my way to make the customers feel happy.think I will stick to self scan in future.train staff better .

Update

Eventually managed to get through to their customer service but had to do it via their main robotic landline number in London. M and S Salford debited the cash on the 6th, seems e-cards can take over 72 hours to get to the recipient. I've decided not to use M and S in future, sorry but you just lost a customer.

Online order

Ordered something that was time sensitive with nominated delivery but on the day the delivery was due got some bs automated email saying about a delay and that it might not be delivered on time, the day after got another vague automated email confirming a delay but nothing else. The order tracking on the site said dispatched but the courier said they had the details but haven’t received the parcel yet (obviously lost it), a few days after the initial email I called the call centre (great staff) who refunded and cancelled, however it shouldn’t take me to do the digging for this outcome and should have been flagged internally straight away for them to look into and let me know straight away instead of relying solely on automation, so now I’ve got to scramble to find a solution on time, which would have been fine if they told me straight away….. pretty sure if I didn’t phone, I would still be waiting in a years time.

Delicious celebration cake saved the…

Delicious celebration cake saved the day!
After being terribly let down by Patisserie Valerie (read their bad reviews and think twice before using) sending a celebration cake via DPD that was damaged and couldn’t be used for our Mums 80th Birthday.
I went to M&S store where they had a great range to choose from. I bought a lovely cake along with white and dark chocolate and some of their special chocs to add extra deviations.
It looked great and tasted delicious - highly recommend! (Don’t go to Patisserie Valerie - their reputation is in a downward trend).
Mum loved it and it really cheered me up after my bad experience with PV.

Disgruntled Customer.

I bought a 4pack of ladies briefs today
3 pr were size16 one pr was a size 18.
Obviously no quality control now.of course they were made in Sri Lanka
Plus the fact never seen as many creases in anything they looked cheap.
Always bought my undies at M&S never again.

Every time I order an item of clothing…

Every time I order an item of clothing from M&S it arrives damaged.
I’ve had several items with rips, mini holes and marks all over them.
The white linen top I ordered arrived today with a black mark on it.
I’m not certain if M&S get their staff to actually check the items before sending them out, but if they don’t, they should.
I will not be ordering from M&S online anymore!

very dissapointed to have found a large, disgusting MOSQUITO in the sponge of our birthday cake which ruined our special occasion.

A GIFT FROM M&S

I love shopping at M&S especially in the foodhall where I have been doing my weekly shop for a long time. I no longer go to supermarkets due to price. I find M&S extremely competitive but more importantly the quality of food is outstanding, nothing gets wasted. My local branch is Glenrothes, Fife, the staff are amazing and very friendly and helpful, especially Cameron.
Today I received a lovely gift from M&S which was a total surprise and appreciated. It is a Thank You for being one of their top customers, it is a lovely tote bag, sweets and hand cream. How nice is that so thank you very much M&S

Marks and Spencer should stick to selling clothes and food.

It is important to be aware that M&S do not sell furniture, they merely accept your order and pass it on to a second independent supplier, in my case that company was called Gallery Direct. Placed an order in April for a Hastings 3 draw chest and 2 draw Bedside, in white. The first two deliveries were canceled by Gallery with only six hours notice, the third attempt was successful but not at the time given. After removing the huge amount of protective packaging the large chest was badly damaged on the corner and had numerous marks throughout, in addition both items were of very poor quality with joints misaligned, the draws had no mechanical runners just wooden slots so they stuck when trying to open and close them, there was also a huge gap between the draw front and cabinet frame. The M&S staff member was as helpful as she possibly could be and the furniture was eventually returned for a full refund. This furniture is clearly produced in the far east to a very poor standard and does not warrant the price.

Scan and Go not working again at M&S…

Scan and Go not working again at M&S Ashton-under-Lyne this is now the norm . It never works . Staff are useless and could not give a dam . I have asked to speak to the store manager about this on numerous occasions and they are never available . Its no wonder M&S are struggling . The food hall has not been updated in 40 years . Its an horrendous visit in every way

Rather disappointed with the clothes…

Rather disappointed with the clothes range in Marks and Spencer also the sizes seem to come up on the small size I don't know if this is because they are made in Cambodia quality just doesn't seem the same,ended up with pyjamas and some vest tops .

The beef is absolutely disgusting-…

The beef is absolutely disgusting- mince meatballs or their organic beef tastes exactly the same and equally disgusting- how are they getting away with selling such bad tasting beef - it doesn’t taste like beef at all - what type of people are buying that rubbish meat ? Why does the cheaper M&S beef have exactly the same rat taste beef as the organic? I don’t usually shop at coop or Sainsbury’s etc but even their beef is better - How is M&S getting away with selling beef that smells like rat meat ?
