Matthews & Tannart was contracted to to remove a bath at my mothers and fit a shower tray, tiling, shower etc. simple job but took there weeks to complete (badly). Shower waste was fitted with a fall Going the wrong way which was Then changed (after me complaining) the waste pipe was then connected into the rain water down pipe ( not foul waste) as it should be. Existing waste pipe that had been cut off at svp was just filled with tissue to cap it off, shower tray was installed 25mm from the wall. Shower track was an absolute joke the way it had been fitted. Drill Holes in new tiles just filled with silicone where they had been drilled in the wrong place. I could go on and on. Complete bodge job.

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Matthews & Tannert Ltd. A contractor representing their company urinated in a cup in my kitchen — a shocking and deeply disturbing act that has left me feeling violated and unsafe in my own home.

After this incident, I was offered money along with a disclosure agreement, which felt more like an attempt to silence me than to take proper responsibility. I have also sent several emails that have gone completely unanswered, showing a total lack of care, professionalism, and respect.

What’s worse, any acknowledgement of what happened has only been said to my face — I have yet to receive any full written accountability from the company. At the very least, I expect a formal written apology and a clear explanation of the actions taken to address this incident and prevent it from happening to anyone else.

I strongly advise others to be extremely cautious when dealing with Matthews & Tannert Ltd.
