I used this service for the first time, found it very simple to navigate and very efficient. I had carpet fitters within the hour who could fit by the end of the week. I have used other sites but not as good as this one. Great communication very impressed.

Avoid using this platform.
We recently had a quote for a new driveway that was worryingly cheap, but we decided to go ahead seeing as the builder was new on the site and the my builder platform offered a new builder promise guarantee. The builder wanted £1400 for parts which we paid, he then turned up ripped up our garden with a pickaxe and left it in a very unsafe state for us and our young child to get in and out, and he never returned and stopped answering his multiple phones for weeks. But we were not overly stressed by the situation as we had the my builder promise. So we hired another builder as the garden was clearly to unsafe for a child to get in and out, and had to get a loan out as he was charging £2000 more then the original builder. After weeks of waiting and sending and sending over so much proof, Today I had an email from my builder platform saying they would not help any further as we got a 2nd builder in to fix it all which is crazy as we had no choice but to do this as quickly as possible (they also told us on the phone it should be fine to sort it as it’s unsafe) They are also saying they won’t help as we paid him £1400 for the work but they would only help if that was for parts, even tho we sent them proof it was paid for parts. We have been scammed by the builder and feel we have been scammed by the platform. Our next step is we will be taking both the builder and my builder to court.

It was so easy to find a plasterer for the jobs that we need doing. Thomas who did the one ceiling was very good. He turned up on time as was an excellent worker and I can thoroughly recommend him to other customers

Had so exterior work done by this company last week and the workman was absolutely wonderful. So friendly and tidy. An absolute pleasure having him around. Thank you!!

Chris from C&S did a wonderful job he fitted a new loft ladder and hatch quickly and efficiently and tided up when he finished He arived when he said he would and charged a competitive price for the job . I have no hesitation in recommending Chris and am now considering calling him back to board the loft . Thanks Chris well done!

I placed job and had invitation within 15mins. Job completed within 3 days so by using my builder got job done quickly and satisfactorily.

Booked a locksmith through my builder. James arrived on time, very good price, friendly,polite,helpful, would definitely hire him again.
Doing this through my builder gives a lot more constant just picking someone through yellow pages, etc.as the tradesman are vetted.
I have used my builder on many occasions, and have received excellservices every time..well done my builder.

Completed my bathroom after 8 days beautiful job everything asked for I got waterfall shower riser comfort toilet nice sink tap & cupboard matching brushed polished brass taps shower towel heater rail all guys in job tiler great job , plumber superb , plasterer faultless Cain did great job lighting dry lining all uneven walls all pipe work all new completed without any issues … cleaned up after there selves each night worked exceptional .. got fabulous walk in shower & bathroom lighted mirror …All rubbish removed from outside after the job 100% reliable genuine 10/10

Ekrem did a good job under difficult circumstances,. The old fence posts had rotted away at ground level leaving blocks of concrete in the way of new post positions. To remove that concrete would have meant additional digging which was not possible due to the proximity of a sewer line. New positions were found that allowed the three posts to be in a straight line.
Fence is still to be stained.

My late husband used to sort house hold repairs so when l had to have an electric meter rewired l was at a loss of who to use. I had used My builder last year for a plumber so l went onto their website and asked for Electricians to get in touch. Chris ( C J Electrics ) got in touch with me within the hour explained what l needed doing & sent a few photos to him , he gave me a price which l found quite reasonable & he arranged to visit the same afternoon he had just finished his previous job at lunch time so that was good. He arrived on time went over what he was going to do which he did in a timely, tidy manner. Would use My Builder again and Chris’s telephone no is on my file if l need any other work done.

The platform is great, finding tradespeople is so easy now.
You still have to pay attention on the tradesperson you choose, but the platform makes it easy.

I found a Tradesman on My Builder site and they scammed me. I reported this to My Builder as i got the Tradesman off their site. My Builder was not helpful, and took no responsibility to investigate the Tradesman. They told me that they would monitor the Tradesmans future reviews and I should go and claim my outstanding money through a Small Claims Court. I would not recommend getting a Tradesman off their site. Use Checkatrade as they are so helpful and supportive.

Very friendly person came to do the job very well done will certainly use him again.
