I placed an order for 3 pairs of “in stock”
Ray Ban glasses on 9th August. 10th August I received an update to “acquiring frames”. It is now 28th August, 15 working days later, and nothing. So frustrating as the website implied that the glasses were in stock and that delivery would be 2-5 days.

I ordered sunglasses on 12 July. Still haven't arrived and it's 28 August. Winter is coming!!

Awful, Awful, Awful…AVOID

I received my Ray-Ban glasses today and I’m absolutely delighted with them. The varifocal lenses with grey-green Transitions are fantastic, and the glasses look and feel great.
They arrived exactly when expected, and I was kept updated at every stage of the order process, which made the whole experience really straightforward and reassuring.
I would definitely recommend Opticians Direct and wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them again in the future. Excellent service from start to finish! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

1 star. Never received my order. Refused a refund for weeks.

Ordered a pair of Ray-Ban frames in July. Royal Mail was unable to deliver and returned the parcel to Opticians Direct as sender. The goods never reached me and were never in my possession.

Despite this, the team repeatedly refused to process a refund until they had physically received the parcel back at their store. This is not a legally defensible position. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods remain at the retailer's risk until delivered to the customer. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, a refund where goods have not been supplied is due within 14 days of cancellation, with no condition attached requiring receipt of a return.

I set this out in writing three times. Each time I received the same response: wait for the parcel. Having received no refund by the statutory deadline, I raised a chargeback with my card provider.

The individual staff members were polite throughout. The policy they were applying is the problem. Anyone ordering from this company should be aware that if Royal Mail fails to deliver, you may find yourself having to fight for a refund that is owed to you automatically by law.

Underwhelming and poor customer service - I ordered sunglasses online for a holiday and despite being told a 2-5 day dispatch date, there is still no sign of them 8 days later. Just spent 1 hour & 2 minutes on hold trying to get a status update, only to be cut off. Very disappointed with this company and certainly won't be recommending them to anyone. Still waiting for contact from them on this order - #0503319 - if anyone is reading and wishes to reply!

Simple process, competitive price, delivered quickly.

Avoid, misleading status on stock availibility and order progress. 60 minutes on hold with customer services to get cut off, don't waste your time.

Purchased a pair of prescription sunglasses three years ago. The coating on one of the lenses is peeling. Would have expected longer and better quality as these were expensive.

Excellent quality and a fantastic price

I bought these sunglasses for my wife after she had tried the exact same model in a shop at the Harlequin Centre, where they were priced at around £370. I found them online at Opticians Direct for around £200, so the saving was excellent.

When they arrived, we were very pleased to see that they were identical to the pair she had tried on in the shop and fitted her perfectly. The sunglasses feel solid and very well made — you can immediately feel the quality when you hold and wear them.

Excellent product, great value for money and a very good overall shopping experience. I would definitely recommend Opticians Direct and would happily buy from them again.

Great service

Been waiting a week now for standard rayban sunglasses that we ordered. At the time we placed the order the item was in stock, logged on tonight to see that they are awaiting frames? Excuse me but you sold these as an in stock item you haven’t even been bothered to get in touch to tell us when we should expect to receive the sunglasses which are for a birthday present!
I would not recommend this company they don’t understand what customer service is.
I ordered a different pair of raybans from another company for my wife and I received them within 2day so why are you struggling!!
My wife will be getting a refund from you and we will order else where as yiu ckearky cannot be bothered!

The website was easy to navigate. Delivery was swift and I was kept updated.
