Dreadful Customer Service

Opening an account is both difficult and time consuming. For an online bank the processs takes too long. Once you get the account open and deposit funds you may forget about getting a reply from their customer service team. I sent an in app message on the 21st May 2026, when I didn't hear back within two days I followed up with an email. It is now 27th May 2026 and no-one has contacted me. I am dreading when my account matures and I want my funds transferred back to my account. The only options I currently have to transfer to are other online banks that I do not and do not want to deal with!

Very straightforward and access to…

Very straightforward and access to interest rates that are not available in Ireland. If more people used Raisin, the Irish banks might actually offer competitive deposit rates as opposed to the less than inflation rates currently on offer. You actually lose money saving in Irish banks. They have the fattest difference between lending and deposit rates, hence their higher profit

Poor account opening experience

I attempted to open an account with Raisin (just to advise they’re not a bank but more of an aggregator / intermediary granting access to actual 3rd party banks). I have twice followed the account opening process (providing passport photos and even granting access to my bank account so that they could verify I had an account by taking a small amount of money - €0.1 both times). On both occasions, they spent 24 hours verifying my submission, only to tell me I had been “successfully registered” and then sent me back to start the validation process all over again. Not great experience… and I’ve now no confidence in their ability to manage my account if they did manage to open it. I’ve contacted online help but no response. I’m annoyed they’ve taken my money (yes - I know it’s a tiny amount of money but it’s the principle) and are ignoring me.

Update: got a response to the complaint I raised on their app… little bit toneless in that they wagged a finger at me for expecting a response in less than two days (that’s their SLA which I didn’t know about cos I don’t think they told me) and telling me that my attempt to verify my identity had been declined twice by their 3rd party provider (which I also didn’t know about)… so I asked them to refund me the 20c (yeah I know but it’s the principle …). They’ve offered me the option to have a video call with them to prove my identity but I’m not pushed.

I’ve also now received an email including an apology and an offer of a refund of the 20c (again- it’s the principle!) from the Boss which is a nice touch. I still don’t really want to trust them with my money but I think I’ll big them up a little on the stars for the nice email I got from the Senior Chap.

They really need to communicate better in instances where the process falls over ie., it would have been good to know that my attempts to prove that I am who I am had been rejected by this mysterious 3rd party. Also, the system by which you raise a ticket is pretty clunky for a fintech.

Update: still no sign of them giving me my money back… yes … I know… it’s only €0.2 but it’s the principle! Back to 1 star they go!

Shocking business.

Shocking business.

They have £6k of my money and I've spent over 6 months trying to recover it. They keep coming up with new excuses why they can't pay me.

Opened an account which wasn’t easy

Opened an account which wasn’t easy, but when I did, I sent a test amount of €100 into the account, I have reached out to them numerous times they are not replying, and the money is locked in. Luckily, I didn’t transfer all of the funds that I was going to. No reply to The in app messaging service or emails.

Customer service

Customer service are totally inept and incompetent.
Can't even desifer basic written English or numbers.
Perhaps they need to employ a more literate and competent calibre of staff

Raisin long on aggressive marketing, but woefully short in so-called customer support.

Previously I had funneled a LOT of money to Raisin marked for interest earning instruments.
On February 4, 2026, I emailed so-called customer support and explicitly wrote that I wanted the 2025 tax year 1099 form MAILED to my address of record.
Subsequently, I received an email saying the form could not be mailed before 2-15-26. Huh?
Next, circa 2-20-26 I emailed 'support' and asked when my 1099 was mailed out. It took several days to receive a response.
Then, another email from support saying I'd earlier been given incorrect information. Whereas, the 'story' now was that it would take up to 15 days post-2-15-26 before the 1099 could be mailed. And then circa another 10 'business days' before it'd arrive in my mailing address, the latter by way of USPS snail mail. Too, as of 2-26-26 support's emailed disclosure the 1099 form still had not even be mailed.
Thence, I emailed and asked that the 1099 be emailed to me as a PDF. Only to be told Raisin would not do that due to alleged 'security concerns,' More lame excuses.
Now do you think given the total mess Raisin had made of this matter it'd at least be accommodated by sending the 1099 via an available form of expedited delivery? Of course not!
Raisin is ever aggressive when it seeks new deposited money from consumers. But when it comes to fulfilling adequately and competently even the most simple customer requests, forget about it.
In short, avoid doing any business with Raisin.

Slowest support ever seen

Limited customer service hours. Tickets and inquiries are slow to process. Validating new bank accounts takes five days (far too long), generally very slow. Frequent interest rate reductions with little notice.

My Experience Has Been Fine

I've moved enough big chunks of money to and from this site to become confident that it is legitimate. My local bank doesn't bat an eye moving money there and any incidental talk with my local bankers on Raisin seems to reinforce that it is a legitimate site they are very well aware of.

The site is straightforward enough. The security measures have not been overbearing. Raisin is good as a one stop shop to get 99% of the interest out there without having to open accounts at endless banks shopping for the best rate and it is an easy way to consolidate tax forms on your interest earned.

If you open accounts at credit unions, you will get monthly paper notices through the mail which is annoying and which you can't seem to opt out of, even if you have only $0 to $5 in that account. Small drawback.

Opened an account / ACH not supported

Opened an account, then used that account to pay my taxes by ACH. A week later I am notified that the ACH was refused, and then learned that these accounts DO NOT SUPPORT ACH or any other payment activities. The pages selling this bank didn't mention this, and now I'm faced with penalties. Totally misrepresented themselves.

AVOID

Awful. Awful complex website with constant pop ups, incredibly slow and protracted to withdraw money. You do not have the same protection from the Ombudsman service as you would if you saved directly with the bank as The Ombudsman does not supervise them in the same way. When they are slow returning your money at zero interest, there's not much you can do!

AVOID

Still Not Fixed – Extremely Poor Service from Raisin Bank

I’m now beyond frustrated. The issues with Raisin Bank are still not fixed.

Their app and website won’t recognise my sort code, meaning I can’t update my nominated bank account. My chat messages have gone unanswered for days. When I called, one agent cut me off, and the next gave me an incredibly complicated process just to change simple account details.

Despite all of this, the problem remains unresolved.

This has been a terrible experience from start to finish, and I won’t be trusting Raisin Bank with my savings again.
