I've tried for 2 days to get a quote…
I've tried for 2 days to get a quote online. First attempt the online site said 'Calculating' for 38hrs. I'd left the computer on overnight in the hope of getting a quote, but come breakfast it was still 'calculating'. I gave up and tried again, and now as I write this I am in my 3rd hour and it's still 'calculating'.
I'm sure their quotes are fine, but they clearly have an issue with me.
Can't give them anything other than 1 star, but happy to change that if they actually responded to their emails.

Needed to make an amendment to my policy for renewal. Lady was very helpful even ringing me back when we got cut off in the middle of the conversation. Have been with you for a number of years and always been satisfied with everything. Your prices are also very competitive which is a great help

I was not provided with a renewal email…
I was not provided with a renewal email giving me this years payment details and the money was taken from my bank account before I was able to accept this years price. The payment was also tried to be taken twice

We’re sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with renewal experience. All our policies run on an auto renewal basis; this is stated in our terms of business which were agreed to when the policy was taken out.
An advanced notice was sent to your email on 17/07/2026 letting you know that your policy was going to renew. This email contains the renewal quote, renewal date and the payment method in which we will use. This is sent 28 days before your renewal date to allow you to log into your members area and disable automatic renewal, or amend your renewal details online.
The reason why 2 payments were attempted, is that your inital renewal payment declined due to systematic error, this was then retried 12 hours later automatically, and this payment was succesful. As we attempted both payments, both show as pending with your bank, but the funds will be made back available for the initial failed payment.
If you would like us to look into this further or discuss your experience in more detail, please contact us directly at caravans@ripeinsurance.co.uk and we can assist you with this. We’re here to help!

A great deal with great service
I didn't just want cheap insurance for my new motorhome, I wanted good insurance and great customer service.
To be fair ... I think I've got all three.
Easy to obtain a quote online or by phone which was very competitive. Easy to set up and when I queried how I would supply evidence of my previous NCD, they were prompt & efficient telling me they had already verified that online. Great, simple service (the way most of us wish things were all the time).
