Small business owner. It’s not the first time we provide services and customer request money back from credit card and we have sent proof of service to square and they do not fight for your money. Yes, the reason I felt unsupported was BECAUSE THE AGENT HUNG UP ON ME. Don’t do that to your customers, even if they call your company stupid. That’s my opinion. You need not get hurt feelings because of it.

Absolutely the worst company. Website said our password was wrong. It is not. Pressed button to receive email to reset the password anyway. Received no email (3x). Got on the phone with customer service who cried because I said their company was stupid so they hung up on us. Glad to be going elsewhere.

I’ve been using Weebly / Square for over 10 years. It’s easy to use and works well if you want to build a website with a simple drag-and-drop (box-style) system. For beginners, that part is fine.
However, there are many design issues that don’t work cleanly or consistently. Yes, you can edit the code, but without solid coding knowledge, that’s unrealistic for most users.
The worst part—and the main reason I’m giving Square only one star—is SEO. You cannot properly assign title tags, which are essential for Google search visibility. This used to be a basic requirement and is still critical for small businesses.
Another major issue is pricing and transparency. A 2-year plan jumped from $85 to over $255, without any warning emails or notifications. The amount was simply charged automatically to my credit card. That is unacceptable.
Customer support is poor. Responses often take close to a week, and when they finally reply, the answers are usually generic and not helpful.
Recently, login issues have become a serious problem. At the moment, logging in only works reliably with Chrome—a browser I deliberately avoid because of its aggressive data tracking.
On top of that, you can only download your website as a .zip file, but you cannot upload it again. That makes leaving the platform unnecessarily difficult and feels like intentional lock-in, not customer service.
Overall: easy to start, but frustrating and limiting in the long run. I would not recommend Weebly / Square to anyone who cares about SEO, transparency, or long-term control over their website.

Square customer service is difficult to access and rarely solves problems, the Appointments system is clunky and likely designed by someone who has never worked in an appointments based business. When using Square appointments with payment at the time of scheduling, clients are frustratingly not able to use both a Square issued gift card and credit card as payment, which is frustrating and confusing to customers. Pricing and processing percentages continue to increase as quality and usefulness decrease.
