I’ve been having severe knee pain for close to a year and wanted to know more about the causes before deciding on treatments. Diagnostic Ultrasound and the analysis from Chris provided more precise information than the X-Rays I had prior to consultation.

I was seen on time, no waiting , and the waiting room was cool so if I had waited it would not have been unpleasant. The doctor was very pleasant and soothing so I did not feel frightened about the injection I was about to have, although I knew it was going to hurt.

Emerson was excellent. I had a very painful knee from a damaged meniscus and after two steroid injections and some gym and physio work I managed a 190 mile walk over 13 days completely pain free. 4 weeks later the pain hasn’t returned but I keep up the gym work and physio exercises. Emerson gave me great advice and the two ultrasound examinations identified the problem, and aided the injections. It all worked well.

I had booked a guided injection appointment with Dave Baker but he quickly identified that I urgently needed an orthopaedic consultation and an injection was not appropriate at this time.
Dave carefully aspirated fluid from my knee to ease the pain caused by swelling.
