This company is completely garbage. Save your equity and your ability to sell your home and protect your family. They are bad news
Unison is a San Francisco and Omaha, Nebraska based company that is pioneering a smarter, better way to own your home. Until now, the only way to finance a home was by taking on debt. Through equity sharing agreements, we help homeowners access their equity flexibly with no monthly payments or interest. We enhance home affordability, reduce debt, and deliver a less risky way for homeowners, investors, and society to think about their most important asset - the home. For additional information, visit www.unison.com or follow us on Instagram and LinkedIn.

My experience with Unison was very positive from start to finish.
Demetrios Frangoulis was professional, responsive, and clear in his communication, which made the entire process smooth and easy to understand. He took the time to explain how everything works, answered all of my questions patiently, and never made me feel rushed or pressured.
What stood out most was his transparency and organization. Everything was clearly laid out, expectations were set upfront, and there were no surprises along the way. The process felt well-structured, and I always knew what the next step was.
Overall, Unison does a great job of combining professionalism with a customer-focused approach. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a company that values clarity, honesty, and efficiency.

This is a terrible company with a bunch of people who know NOTHING about real estate and they prey on people with even less knowledge than them.
They repeatedly sent me marketing information so I finally decided to look into this further as the concept was interesting and something I hadn’t seen despite doing real estate and finance for 30 years.
The first rep I spoke with never returned my calls and never provided the information he promised. I finally asked to be switched to another person. The 2nd person promised the world which was the first red flag. I proceeded with caution and after wasting my time for over 2 months, they said they couldn’t proceed because they couldn’t find enough comps…after they had already done 2 appraisals by appraisers they hired.
I have a 800+ FICO and significant equity, even according to their own appraisals but they apparently didn’t trust their own people and the whole thing was a complete waste of time.
I went to my bank and got a HELOC that took less than 3 weeks from start to finish and I have full control of it and don’t need to share anything with them.
Moral of the story is don’t waste your time nor give away your hard earned equity to these scammers.
