The claim process was so easy and processed very quickly. I was unsure if I would be able to claim as my cat was a stray that I took in and had to have a full dental extraction due to stomatitis but waggel were really understanding and pre-authorised my claim quickly. When the work was done they worked with my vets making the process easy and completed quickly. They have very good customer service and i would recommend them for all pet owners. :)

An increase of 58% in one year with zero claims - even the Trump family might think that's a bit excessive!

My claim has taken months for my deceased Cat. With umpteen messages saying they are sorry for my grief. Communication has been from random people, no one takes ownership for individual cases. Its basically a call centre type response each time. The policy does not highlight if your cat is over 8 years old there is no payment for their pedigree purchase, or the age of your pet. My claim settlement today advises its turned out to be £108 for my bills of £525. There is no mention of the additional £700 I paid for purchase (Pedigree paperwork and receipt sent with my claim). They also do not pay for cremation costs, so expect to stomach that are have your pet burned along with a group of pets for a cheaper cost. I have 2 other cats who will be over 7 years old soon. So I will be cancelling their policies, searching, and checking new policies with a fine toothcomb. It seems insurance of any type, takes your money every month, then if you do claim, they find every reason not to cover basics. The alternative to consider is to open a savings account and save your money every month so you can cover your pets yourself for get fees. I am disgusted with Waggel 😒

Really disappointed with Waggel and the way they have handled my partner’s dog’s insurance claims.

Daisy has been suffering with ongoing stomach problems, and despite her vet recommending an ultrasound to investigate the cause and rule out serious illnesses, Waggel refused to cover it because the symptoms might be linked to her existing skin allergies. There is no confirmed diagnosis establishing this connection, and Daisy had years of skin allergies without any gastrointestinal issues.

Since then, she has suffered further episodes of vomiting blood and needed emergency veterinary treatment, leaving my partner facing thousands of pounds in vet bills while still not knowing exactly what is wrong with her or what the insurance will cover.

It is incredibly upsetting to see someone pay for lifetime insurance for peace of mind, only to be left worrying about whether they can afford the investigations their dog needs. My partner has spent hours trying to resolve this with Waggel, and the whole situation has caused a huge amount of unnecessary stress at an already difficult time.

In my opinion, it is unfair to reject investigations into a new condition based on a possible link to something that has not been established as the cause. We expected far better from a lifetime policy. I hope Waggel reviews its decision fairly, but the experience so far has seriously damaged our trust in the company. I would not recommend this company.

If I could leave more stars I would. Made a claim for my elderly dog sent what I thought was a claim for the correct amount. Just had an email, they have refunded me £85 more than claimed. I must have miscalculated. Im chuffed to bits thats so honest. Thanks Waggel

They ramped up the price by 50% after one year despite the dog still being young and no claims.

Under a very sad and stressful situation your staff have been professional, efficient and caring! I was concerned that not being able to actually speak to anyone would be a problem but that wasn't the case and responses were quick and informative.

My experience was very poor with Waggel and I cancelled my insurance as they appear to be just the same as every other pet insurance company - delays and poor value.
There are BETTER and MORE COMPETITIVE companies out there so do your research
