Update July 2024.
Returned to Carpetright Dunfermline for the third time in five years and received first-class service from John, who very accurately calculated new flooring in five rooms based on a rough floor plan I had provided. This was subsequently firmed up a few days later by a home visit from the company's estimator, David, whose knowledge and guidance were second to none. I look forward to Paul and his team of fitters completing the job in around 4 weeks' time.

Both the sales people were very knowledgeable and helpful and have no complaints with them. However after care is very poor. The bed we bought was improperly put up by the fitter then After about 2 weeks realised the mattress chosen was wrong and asked to implement the 60 day exchange. Under the agreement we could not do this until we had the mattress 40 nights so we complied. A manager came out and the exchange
was agreed. Then got a message from delivery company to arrange a delivery. Date. Which we tried to do. We were told by them through WhatsApp that it was on hold as they had not received the item and to contact retailer we did this to be told it wasn’t there problem. Whose problem is it then.? The sales person sent an email to their bed supplier a week ago and has still not heard back so really not impressed with Carpetright will not shop there again nor recommend to others. The use of WhatsApp is appalling especially when you can have no verbal communication with the company as is being unable to communicate with “higher ups “ in Carpetright. Feel left in limbo and don’t know where to go to get things moving. Please Carpetright I would be happy to talk with someone in authority about this. Dealt with the Dunfermline store - keeping it brief! Terrible experience throughout, young lad was excellent throughout, his manager did try to throw him under the bus when things went wrong. If you make a choice, have a back up, suddenly the stock disappears and you have to go for second best and even that struggles to arrive on time and get conflicting information. Couldn't really fault the fitters though and they got the job done, working on until completion. Oh and read the T&C's carefully - when you get a fitting date it's a "loose" date, just in case Captain Kirk wants to steal your new vynal into the ether for his teleporting booth! That's when your second choice comes into play, a week before fitting when the decorating is done and you can't go back on choice of colour scheme. Manager in store really wasn't helpful and couldn't understand why we were upset with the sudden lack of stock, picking another - to be told that wasn't coming on time and the fitting date would need shifted also. Think long and hard and even support some of the smaller local carpet shops, that we've since discovered.

Store open til 6pm, member of staff was absolutely brilliant. Guided me to the best carpet for my flat. Made everything so easy and straightforward. A delight to buy a carpet from.

1. Late delivery.
2. No communication between members of staff - only the person who made the sale knew anything about my order. Probably they are on commission and do not care about each others customers.
3. Salesman accepted our measurements for the laminate and suggested a 10% extra (refundable for an unopened box) but ordered insufficient underlay - (probably mixed up metric and imperial). I ordered an additional roll 2 weeks ago, but no notification that it can be collected as yet. An independent specialist agreed that the product was poor quality - the interlock between panels is too short. A different underlay might have been better, This would have been much more affordable but obviously less commission!
4. Laminate quality abysmal
5. Manager aggressive when I approached about a resolution.
It appears that once a product is paid for Carpetright have no further interest in the customer.

I am not really a very happy customer. I purchased some laminate flooring online and was of the understanding that I could pick up flooring in 7 to 10 business days.
I called your Dunfermline branch today( 11/6/24 and was told it would be 4 to 5 weeks and they could not chase up for me.
If I had known at time of purchase that it was going to be 4 to 5 weeks I definitely would not have purchased from your company.
Very misleading!

Great customer experience on my recent visit to enquire about upgrading my hall floor covering at your store in Dunfermline. I was greeted in a very friendly manner by John and after establishing what I was thinking of doing he explained all available options in a very professional and patient manner.
At no time did I feel pressured into making a decision on the day and went home to look over all my options that were discussed.
I returned to the store a few days later and once again John remembered me from my previous visit which is exceptional customer service in a busy retail environment.
Having decided on my choice of product and accessories John took me through the ordering and sales process which was very easy and fully explained.
I have further projects in the pipeline and will not hesitate in returning to your store and making further purchases.
John is credit to your store and the team he is part of and he made my shopping experience a very positive and enjoyable one . Thank you.

I purchased a bed & carpet from Carpetright in Dunfermline. Store manager? Natalie was fantastic and worked out a really good deal for me. Most importantly she was non pushy and didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t want. Very happy with how I was treated. I would highly recommend Natalie.
