I'd give you 5 stars but there are still some annoying department of redundancy department workflows that could be signed off in one pass. EG having to reselect language... I can't remember... five ot... See more

About CD Baby
Written by the company
Music distribution is about getting your songs in front of the most people possible. That’s why over a million independent creators worldwide use CD Baby to release their music across all major digital streaming platforms like Spotify, TikTok and YouTube Music.
CD Baby makes releasing music affordable— all our distribution services for just a one-time fee of $9.99 per release, whether it's a single or an album. And whenever we add a new digital retail partner, your music catalogue will be delivered to them free of charge.
Many music distributors claim to offer free music distribution but charge additional per-retailer fees, annual subs fees, cancellation fees, and all kinds of hidden add-ons and upsells for additional services. CD Baby has no recurring subscription fees, so you don’t have to worry about us ever taking down your music if you miss a payment (there are no payments!)
CD Baby also offers Mechanical and Digital Performance Royalty collection and Sync Licensing as part of our Boost service, as well as our Stages program for emerging artists. Stages offers a suite of valuable artist services, moving with you as your artist career advances and unlocking new opportunities such as expedited release inspection, DSP playlist pitching, and more.

Really easy to get started. Uploaded an album in minutes. Good pricing.
I'm new to CDbaby
I'm new to CDbaby, my first CD release, just ordered them an of course haven't yet received the product. But all so far has been perfect, a little challenging creating my artwork images, but you guys pointed out my errors quickly on day one, I corrected them, the product immediately went into production, Who could ask for more? Thanks!!
The process was pretty simple
The process was pretty simple. I made a labeling mistake in my first ever release and they are helping me fix my error. Hint, spend the extra money and get the fast forward option. Well worth it

Somewhat Satisfied
The inspection procedure was simple, fast and smooth when I first started working with CDbaby, It was over 2 decades ago....

Had some trouble especially with the album cover.. but after fixing it like 2 times it got out pretty good 👍
My experience was good
My experience was good, but unfortunately my album was delivered with one absent track.
Horrible experience
Absolute Garbage
Absolute Garbage. Avoid CD Baby at All Costs.
Trying to navigate CD Baby feels like stumbling onto a neglected relic from the 1970s that hasn't been updated since the dial-up era. Their website is clunky, unintuitive, and in many places, completely broken—especially the support system.
Speaking of support, don't expect to talk to a living, breathing human being. Every single email is met with a generic, AI-generated deflection. I had a track completely vanish from YouTube, and instead of taking accountability or actually fixing the issue, all I got were endless excuses blaming the platform. They pass the buck, refuse to help, and hide behind robotic autoreplies.
It is easily one of the worst music distribution companies in the country. They are completely useless when you actually need help with your release, but rest assured, their inbox is always packed with aggressive upselling pitches trying to push more paid add-ons your way. Complete joke of a platform. Save your music and your sanity and go literally anywhere else.

Extremely slow and outdated customer support. I requested a release cancellation/takedown weeks ago, yet my track is still active on platforms. On top of that, their communication relies heavily on automated, unhelpful bots. Their policies and distribution processes are completely primitive compared to modern distributors.
My dream came true it was great and happened in a timely manner.
I have a great experience this is the best distribution company. The process was exactly what it was supposed to be.
Excellent!

Even though it took a little longer than expected, I am satisfied!

I've been very pleased with my experience with CD Baby. I feel like they are partnering with the artists rather than merely profiting off the up and coming artists!
The distribuitor is great
The distribuitor is great! It's pay per release not monthly subscription which I am happy about, it doesn't take too long to release a single. The only downside would be that I can't make an OAC on youtube, which is sad cause I wanted to connect my Topic channel to my personal channel, if this will be fixed in the future I would be very happy!
