After confirming my identity I was bombarded with endless questions why, where to, what for, etc I do want to transfer money from my acc.
On top of that "advisor" form CO-OP was constantly saying that he can't hear me while I was hearing him very well. Of course I can't prove if he was telling the truth or trying to disconnect my call (prevent me from completing transaction).
But after about 30min my transaction was finally completed.
I understand that BANKS takes steps to prevent fraud/scams but personal/individual responsibility should take priority in cases like mine.
The exact same scenarios unfold if you want to withdraw more that £5k cash at the bank.
Endless questions even if you already there in person and still need WRITTEN statement ---what for, why ?

Excellent experience over all. Really good team at the bank. Helpful, professional and knowledgable. Customer service always a high standard. However would like to see more updated processes introduced. Such as cheque scanning like other banks and money pots to encourage saving.
Coop has not moved with the times and after multiple times I have been abroad and been let down by processes has prompted me to find another provider.
I cannot view or modify my PIN the app which has been an issue. Especially when I changed all my others and then put this one in wrong which blocked the card and I had no idea.
Lagging behind technology and it may not turn out well. Blockbuster and Nokia were also to set in their ways to change with the times are no longer exist.
I contacted the bank to switch from my building society account. The lady that I spoke with was very helpful. Initially I was told that I couldn’t switch but she phoned the next day and said that I could and she explained the process to me and we then proceeded.
Am immediate response via the 159 fraud line about a suspicious credit card payment. Dealt with quickly, card blocked and new one issued. No hassle & reassured me with their kind understanding manner.
Always been good. I'm delighted they have at last enabled you to temporarily freeze a card if you're not sure where it is

I phoned the bank to report a fraudulent phone-caller who I should have cut off much sooner than I did and to whom I realised I may have given information. I have banked with the Co-op for many years and have always found staff calm, friendly and helpful, as they were this time. The person I spoke to soothed my jangled nerves and was reassuring while, at the same time, delivering the necessary injunctions to be more wary and alert in the future. Thank you, Co-op staff!
The staff immediately understood my need and addressed it in a quick and competent way.

Worse bank you can imagine, block your card for no reason, made me stuck over night in another city from my home with no way of me accessing my money, bank is always down for so called maintenance, been a customer for 10-15 years now and the last 2 -3 years the service has been nothing short of abysmal
