Allium Park Sales Experience

We recently secured a plot at Allium Park, Ripley, and our experience thus far has been extremely positive. Mark and Hannah from Countryside Allium Park, together with Nikki from Vistry Thames Valley, have demonstrated professionalism, friendliness, and provided clear information throughout the process. Although our original property was initially reserved by another party, we were promptly notified when it became available again. We have now selected our fixtures and fittings and are looking forward to completing in June. We would like to thank Mark and Hannah for ensuring that the sales and purchasing process has been seamless.

Perfect Experience with Countryside Homes…

Our experience with Countryside Homes at Alvaredus at Fairham, Clifton has been truly exceptional, and that is largely thanks to Mora Sheard. She is an incredibly kind and professional consultant who made our journey feel seamless.
Mora truly went above and beyond for us. She explained the show homes perfectly and even took the time to walk us through the active construction site in the intense heat to ensure we saw every detail firsthand. Her patience, expertise, and genuine care for her clients are rare to find. We felt well-supported every step of the way and are so grateful for her dedication.

Our experience with Bovis Homes so far…

Our experience with Bovis Homes so far has been excellent, particularly thanks to David Howard, the Sales Consultant. From the very beginning, when we started our journey of buying a new home full of excitement (and plenty of questions), David was consistently respectful, patient, and understanding.
David has always been approachable and professional, taking the time to answer our questions thoroughly, whether by phone, email, or in person. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble, which makes a big difference during what can often be a stressful process.
David has helped make the whole experience feel smooth and well-supported, and we’re very grateful for the time and care he’s shown us. We’re very much looking forward to getting the keys and settling into our new home.

I would love nothing more than to be…

I would love nothing more than to be writing a positive review, but unfortunately our experience with Vistry/Countryside has been extremely disappointing.

We completed on our new home in November 2025, only to discover that the wrong flooring had been installed throughout. This had to be completely redone, delaying our move-in by over a week.

Since then, we have experienced ongoing issues from day one. While some have been minor, many have been significant and have taken an unacceptably long time to resolve. Communication has been the worst we have ever encountered — we are constantly told different things by different people, given promises that are not kept, and then told issues are “within tolerance” when challenged.

We love the house itself, but the volume of problems has overshadowed that. To date, we have raised over 300 snagging issues. On top of this, we have had seven different site managers, which has clearly impacted consistency, accountability, and overall build quality.

All we want is for the issues we were promised would be resolved to actually be addressed. Instead, Vistry/Countryside have become increasingly difficult to deal with. Raising formal complaints through customer services has made matters worse, with response times sometimes exceeding two weeks and little meaningful progress.

The workmanship concerns continue to be highlighted, yet we are met with excuses rather than solutions. Being told “it is what it is” after reporting hundreds of defects is simply not acceptable for a new build home.

Overall, a very frustrating and disappointing experience.

Jo, the sales agent, has been especially helpful—friendly, responsive, and always willing to answer any questions I’ve had. She made the reservation process straightforward and stress-free.

I bought my first Countryside Homes…

I bought my first Countryside Homes property in Milby Meadows, Nuneaton. I’m delighted with the design and layout; it feels much larger than on the plan.

Having lived in Nuneaton for 55 years, I’ve witnessed significant changes. I chose Milby Meadows because Countryside Homes built here and they’re a leading UK house builder.

I was downsizing and this area, on the outskirts of town, is near good schools and transport links, just minutes from the A5. It’s incredibly convenient.

Countryside Homes offered a scheme to sell my house and buy one of theirs, which eased the moving process. I sold my house and moved in within three months. I was the first resident on the estate just before Christmas and I’m thrilled.

The staff, especially the managers, are fantastic. They promptly address any problems that arise, thankfully none have been major. Jamie, the manager, visits regularly to check in and ask if we have any other issues.

I made the right decision buying a Countryside Homes property. It’s a lovely house in a great location with excellent transport links.

I highly recommend Countryside Homes to family and friends. Visit the show homes and see for yourselves.

Don't believe the hype.....

Don't believe the hype...... I've now lived in 3 Countryside/Vistry new builds which was determined by location not loyalty. I can safely say the quality is absolutely deteriorating. All fixtures and fittings are low quality, corners are cut to safe money. For example, no power points in the utility room. no windows in bathrooms, Grass turfing and patio are low quality and no ventilation in garages causing severe levels of mould to form meaning you can't park your car in there due to the risk of rusting. Street lighting is now being limited to cut cost and if you are one of the last occupants to move onto a site be careful, there's every chance WIFI wont be connected for some time.

To summarise...... Countryside/Vistry will give the impression they are a cut above other developers, don't believe it, check your plans carefully and question everything and most importantly don't pay a premium over other builders.

ps..... I look forwad to the automated AI bot generated reply that means absolutely nothing.

Quality, design choices, and infrastructure provision can vary depending on planning requirements, site constraints, and the stage at which a development is completed. Points you've raised such as ventilation, specification of fittings, external finishes, utilities, and connectivity are all matters we actively review with our technical and site teams.
