Claims handler kept changing, one of several was very informative and helpful. Had to contact them and do some of work myself while they acted for me, also had to chase it up.
All in all did what they were appointed to do.

Thanks to all at Jackson Boyd, especially Thomas McGrory and Grant Telford, for guiding the claims for Personal Injury Compensation for my wife and I and arriving at a satisfactory settlement. We were kept informed at every step in the process and any questions we had were promptly dealt with.
Best wishes.
Allocated lawyer by Arag legal insurance after a long delay - lawyer was rude, dismissive and not interested in crucial facts of the case. His "advice" contradicted all the standard Consumer Advice about claiming against the Retailer for damage caused by their subcontactors during installation which breached Health & Safety Regs and was not carried out with reasonable care and skill(Consumer not obliged to be diverted to subcontactors - it's a not uncommon diversion tactic by big Retailers,cf Digital MarketConsumers Competion Act etc)
He said that "there is no evidence" of structural damage to the door lintel or load-bearing wall but it is hidden behind plasterboard(holes not big enough to see through to inside.)He can't possibly know and is not qualified to assess structural damage and is therefore acting beyond his competence .The visible holes only show where the hammer drill bit went in in multiple places NOT what hidden damage (including structural)is behind the plasterboard. The installer drill hit metal and they kept drilling while ignoring distraught homeowner and so there is significant chance of damage to the door lintel and/or wall beyong the visible.I am told that if I try to sell flat in future the surveyor will flag it up and require structural enginerr's report (which costs circa £600).Structural Engineering firm said that structural safety assessment was mandatory if such a case where a structural component of the wall like a door lintel may have sustained damage. Also flat owner could be held liable for damage to he Common Property (wall is shared with communal close wall ) and/or due to the Title Deeds conditions.Despite all this this "lawyer" has climed to the insurer that there is no case and told them to close it.As flat ownrer I have been left in a terrible situation after a year of being ignored by Sky and Cityfibre and potentially large costs to remediate the wall and/or pay for alternative lawyers/legal costs. He incorrectly recommended accepting £400 from the Retailer's subcontractor who was trying to limit their liability for potential structural damageby adding condition of "full and final liability".Accepting this would be folly since the cost of remediating the potential structural damage could be thousands or more. This "lawyer" has exposed client to potentially large losses which may be considered negligence and complaint will now be made to the insurer and if appropriate the legal authorities.I asked for him to nbe removed from my case and complained about his rude dismissive manner on the phone ( may be discriminatory under the Equality Act 2010) to his colleague or manager Alan who seemed more sympathetic but did not get back to me about it when he said after 2 months now.Horrible experience with this solicitor.

3 years since an incident it has now been resolved. I can’t thank Craig Mccann enough. Jackson boyd as a whole were very communicative over the years. Recently approaching court Craig was in touch with me every step of the way. I can’t communicate the relief of not having to attend court and the whole ordeal being at an end . Thanks again to Craig and his hard work.

Augustine was really helpful and took time to understand my problem; he explained things in a way I could understand and made me feel like he really cared about me getting my house back. My only concern is that I think both Augustine and John (who dealt with my case previously) are given too many cases at a time, and so can’t always respond as quickly as they’d like; that’s not the fault the individual solicitors (so I’ve not downgraded my score), I just feel management need to invest in some more staff.
