Humza was very professional and patient . He had an excellent knowledge of a range of product detail which he took time to explain in easily understandable language. He took his time to show each stage of the design and was attentive to my choices - explaining the merits of each option.
Humza was really personable and made the whole shop design process really enjoyable. He was also a whizz on the computer design tool and was very happy to make changes as required.
Vicki was amazing very knowledgeable and experienced with a lot of anecdotal evidence
Humza was excellent and took time to understand our requirements and did the kitchen plan to our liking.
Complaint about poor after-sales service
We visited Magnet Kitchens in Stamford a couple of months ago and initially had a really positive experience with Ryan, who was helpful and provided good customer service. Unfortunately, our experience since then has been extremely disappointing.
We paid for delivery only, as we planned to build the kitchen island ourselves. The delivery itself arrived without any issues, but when we came to build the island, we discovered that several items were missing.
I called the Stamford store on the Saturday to make them aware of the missing parts. Ryan assured me that he would arrange for them to be sent by DPD and that they would arrive on the Tuesday. I also followed up by email, specifically listing the items that were missing so there could be no confusion. I received no response to this email, and by Wednesday the parts had still not arrived.
I called the store again on Thursday and spoke to a female member of staff, who told me that these particular items could never have been sent by DPD and that Ryan should have made this clear to me. Unfortunately, this information was not communicated to me at any point. Given that my email clearly listed the specific missing items, there really should have been no confusion about what needed to be ordered.
As the parts could not be delivered in time for the following weekend, we were left with a half-finished kitchen. My parents kindly offered to go into the store and collect the parts for us. However, when they arrived, they were given the wrong items. They then had to return the following day, only to be told that the correct items I had specifically listed in my email were not even in stock. We were then advised to travel to another store approximately an hour and a half away to collect them.
This has caused a huge amount of unnecessary inconvenience and frustration, particularly when we have spent a significant amount of money with Magnet. Mistakes can happen, but the lack of communication, failure to follow up on the specific items listed, and then providing the wrong parts has resulted in a situation that should have been completely avoidable.
I wish I had looked at the reviews before ordering, as unfortunately it seems there are several similar complaints. When customers are spending thousands of pounds on a kitchen, I think it is completely reasonable to expect a much higher standard of customer service and after-sales support.
Very disappointing experience overall, especially after such a positive initial impression. I would strongly recommend double-checking everything you order and the after-sales support available before committing to Magnet.
I’ve been working with Magnet Kitchens for years now as a builder, and I continue to be impressed with both the quality of their products and their first-class customer service. The entire team is consistently helpful and knowledgeable, making every project run smoothly. A special mention goes to Wayne, whose expertise and willingness to go the extra mile truly stand out. Magnet Kitchens has earned my trust through reliable service and excellent products. You can copy and paste that as needed.

We couldn't recommend Magnet Bournemouth branch enough, we love our new kitchen! Darren was very friendly, approachable, knowledgeable of safety regulations and gave good inspiration with cupboard placement and colour schemes with patience to our ever changing minds. Our fitters Richard and Dawn were great, had a high level of detail and pride in their work - they handled our extra requirements (flooring, radiator, electrical sockets) with ease, worked quickly and didn't leave anything unfinished. Thank you very much to all involved!

We first attended the Sutton store and was greeted by Karen Penfold. Karen led us professionally through the various stages of purchasing a Kitchen and between us and Karen came up with the 1st plan. That only lasted until my younger Son reviewed it and pointed out various safety reasons, that I had not considered, as to why the plan needed to be amended. I’m over 70 and have difficulty in walking around the house without the use of a walking stick and the way I had initially drawn up the 1st plan prior to going to Magnets, simply did not cover the lack of my mobility. The 2nd plan was drawn up with the safety considerations alongside Karen and had all the requirements we have given Karen initially, still within the footprint of the plan. Karen visited the house when our extension was being built, liaising with our builder to ensure that the kitchen was going to fit in the finished space. The kitchen was installed with Karen coming around to ensure things were progressing and sorting out any issues that may have come up. My Wife and I were very pleased with the finished fitted kitchen and would recommend Magnets and Karen Penfold. Our interface with the whole Sutton Team was a very positive one.

Shocking choice. Hate being told "it's not in fashion so we don't stock it " Member of staff that really didn't care . This cannot be put right, because you do not hold what we want.

Our experience with Magnet in Merthyr Tydfil has been exceptional from start to finish. A special thank you must go to Jessica Wilson and Jonathan Morgan, who made the entire kitchen planning journey seamless and stress-free.
Whenever we had questions, they were answered promptly, thoroughly, and professionally. Every time we reached out, they were more than happy to take the time to talk things through, making us feel genuinely valued rather than rushed. Both Jessica and Jonathan along with the rest of the branch staff were consistently friendly, patient, and approachable.
What we appreciated most was their collaborative approach. They offered brilliant, practical design ideas to elevate our space without ever being pushy or forcing opinions onto us.
We couldn't be happier with the service and would wholeheartedly recommend Jessica, Jonathan, and the Magnet Merthyr Tydfil team to anyone looking to buy a new kitchen!

Whilst I didn't go ahead with Magnet, for no other reason other than wanting a bespoke colour door, my experience with them was fantastic. Diana from the Reigate branch was so knowledgeable and passionate, it felt like my project was really personal to her. She got my vision immediately. Had I been able to find the colour door my heart was set on, I would have gone ahead with Diana.

We spent £32,000 on a supply-only kitchen from Magnet Nottingham. The cabinetry itself is decent quality, which is the only reason this isn't one star.
The problems were in the design and in how Magnet handled them afterwards. Our island was designed with panelling that physically prevents the cabinet doors from opening. Every component is the size Magnet specified, so nothing was mis-measured. The two products Magnet designed and supplied to work together simply don't. Bespoke painted doors were also designed at dimensions requiring cutting on site, and Magnet declined to supply touch-up paint for cuts their own flawed design made necessary.
When we raised these, the response at every level (designer, branch and hq) was to point to the supply-only terms and decline all responsibility. Head office answered repeatedly that the goods were manufactured correctly, which was never our complaint, and never engaged with the design service itself. We were told to source our own paint and pay for our own remedies. They've also repeatedly said that the responsibility lies with our fitter to have made sure that the design was right.
Communication has also been poor. We were told templating would follow shortly after delivery and that Magnet would be in touch. Nobody contacted us. We chased, and the appointment landed eighteen days after delivery with our fitter waiting. Another 7 to 10 days for manufacturing and installation - means many weeks with no kitchen.
Our installer has thirty years of experience and was as surprised by the design as we were. He's said every Magnet kitchen he's installed has had problems.
Buy the cabinets if you like them. Don't rely on the design service, and expect to be on your own if something goes wrong with the institution circling the wagons and protecting itself. That's the main reason not to buy these.

I am very impressed by my experience with Magnet Kitchens so far. Our design appointment with Dom Ambrose at Eastleigh was relaxed, despite the daunting wealth of variations in material, colour and style available. His ideas for a change of layout and for combinations of materials which look good together were so helpful. Later, I decided to make a couple of changes and these were no problem at all. Though we’ve not received our kitchen yet, I’m very happy with the service to date.

We met with Diane from the Reigate branch when she came to our home last summer and straight away she understood my vision and I knew I wanted her to design my kitchen, she is so friendly and professional and I loved working with her on our design. She has great ideas and her designs are amazing! She is thorough and always on hand to answer any queries, I highly recommend her. We love our kitchen, the quality and colour are perfect and we now have a statement kitchen thanks to Diane!

Kitchen delivered in the 4th August ready for fitting on 6th August. Neff Induction hob, oven and fridge freezer not delivered and no info provided as to when that would be. Initially the wall units were not straight and the sink unit not level, the project manager was really defensive even accusatory that it was my eyes. The templator for the Dekton work surfaces refused to measure due to the sink unit not being level, the wonky wall units and no hob to obtain measurements from. The fitter did come back to rectify both problems but this took a call to head office to complain about the wonky units, missing kitchen items and missing electrical appliances. The hob was delivered rather quickly and the rest was a fobbed off as an excuse that Neff had supply issues and there are none in the country. Chat online with Neff assured there isn’t a supply issue and they are disappointed this is being relayed to customers. Update today says Magnet are expecting an appliance delivery on the 8th September and will then deliver them. This is not an acceptable timeframe for a high end kitchen costing over £20 grand!! Phoned customer care…. They don’t care really, who said I could have a refund for the appliances and have another manufacturer, No!!! Magnet! I ordered Neff and they should have been delivered on the 4th August with the rest of the kitchen!!! Well I say rest of the kitchen, shelving and brackets are missing.
Future customers check the itemised list thoroughly too as I was billed for the old kitchen to be removed and for a sparky. Magnet sparky wasn’t available so had to employ and pay for my own, way cheaper too to get your own. I also ripped out the old kitchen, disposed of it and had the kitchen fully replastered. Also billed for ducting for a tumble dryer/extraction hood which still is on my bill even though I don’t have a dryer in the kitchen and the induction hob is a downdraft with no need for ducting to the outside.
Magnet - it’s not fun having to use a bathroom sink upstairs, a campsite mini gas burner and a cool box in a garage as a temporary kitchen. At first it’s quite novel but yeah it’s all getting rather inconvenient at my expense. Poor customer service. Lengthy delays for appliances and poor resolutions. The templator was lovely but he’s not from Magnet, he returned and did a really thorough job measuring up. The kitchen fitter has been great too, he returned immediately to correct issues once head office notified him. Due to how the project manager is with comms and how dismissive he was moaning that the templator for the Dekton was being too fussy and blaming my ‘eyes’ (I sent evidence, tape measure and spirit level photos) I feel I can no longer communicate with him. I totally get why he is a salesman, his after care is rubbish, along with missing items is the very reason why I have given 1 star for Magnet. 4 stars for the fitter and 5 for the templator from Natural Stone Surfaces.

Excellent customer service and a great design consultation at the Gloucester branch. I really appreciated Joe’s patience through many redesigns and loved the final design.

Absolutely delighted with our kitchen from Magnet! Martin from the Bath store was exceptionally helpful and guided us through the design process very skilfully. He made us question new ideas and I’m so happy with all the choices we made and the quality of the kitchen! Would recommend magnet fully for a very fairly priced super high quality kitchen!

Made it easy!
During our visit to the store Hannah was really knowledgeable, she gave lots of ideas and was able to bring our vision to life, talking us through each step of the design process. There was no pressure or expectation just an easy conversation about our wants and needs for this project.
