Used Neilsons to wind up my dad's estate. They took £24,000 and closed the account without finishing all aspects and left me with the most difficult part ( overseas land) to deal with myself. Would never use them again or recommend them to anyone. Terrible treatment for a grieving family. Lazy staff.

A great service from start until the finishing line. Our sales contact, Kirsten Olverman, kept us updated at every stage through the process with great communication in a friendly manner, nothing was ever too much trouble.

When selling your home it is good to have someone knowledgable and experienced in your corner, and this was certainly my experience with Kirsten from Neilsons. She was friendly and approachable at all times and responded quickly with sound advice throughout the process, handling everything professionally and promptly while I moved to another country with a significant time difference.

She pursued any hiccups or issues that arose determinedly to find a resolution. She was always on hand with strategies and recommendations and with a clear mission to get the best sale possible.

I believe had I gone with a lesser agency I would have had a far less favourable outcome, but thankfully with Kirsten's help I received the amount I wanted from my sale.

A special mention has to be made to Kirsten for excellent sales negotiating, and to Stephanie for conveyancing my house purchase under pressure. A massive shout out to Arlene who did the conveyancing on my house sale. It was a very challenging situation, and she went the extra mile to ensure it progressed on time. I had complete trust in her to keep me up to date. Hoping to never have to move house again, but if I do I will definitely be using Neilsons!

What started off well with the sales team putting property on the market swiftly and great communication with Siobhan, quickly turned into absolutely appalling service from Anne.
No replies to several emails, no documentation and indeed still waiting for some items, incorrect fees asked for on a Saturday night expecting an extra £10k to complete immediately, when I fact that’s what they were due me. Sale didn’t complete on time despite having months notice. Still being asked for proof of amends to kitchen the day of completion despite being provided three months earlier.

To top it off a formal complaint has gone in which hasn’t been acknowledged. Tomorrow we go to the independent bureau to lodge a formal complaint with them.

Would never ever use again. Maybe a different solicitor but not this particular one

I would not hesitate to recommend Neilsons if you are considering selling your home. We used them for the recent sale and purchase of our flat in Edinburgh.
The Estate Agency team are amazing, the marketing materials and strategy that Amy put together were second to none. Everyone that we dealt with in this department were exceptional. I need to make a special mention of Kirsten our sales negotiator who is exceptional at her job and was an absolute pleasure to work with.
We were then passed to the conveyancing team, who had a pretty high bar after such a fantastic experience already. But Dave, Diane and Emily were more than up to the task! It ended up being a less than straight forward and slightly complicated sale, but Dave and co kept me informed the entire way, worked tirelessly and pushed it all to completion. I would not hesitate to recommend Neilsons and am so happy that we chose to go with them. Thanks for all your hard work and for making a daunting experience so much more enjoyable!
