Diabolical customer service!

My Kia EV6 GT has had nothing but problems since this branch applied a software update. The 12v battery drains when the car is not driven for 1 or 2 days. I took the car in and they said that a courtesy car would not be available for 10 days, how is this sustainable?
The servicing team then said that they would contact the Mansfield and Rotherham branches to see if they had any availability...four hours later this conversation had still not taken place. I was reassured that they would give me a call back before the end of the working day to confirm the availability and where to collect from, this did not happen. So now I have no car, no support and no means of getting to work in Castleford. Absolutely diabolical customer service! Add to this the rude response of "we can't give you something we don't have" from the services customer services front desk.

Customer service exceiience

Could not have asked for nicer people to have dealt with our new car. Chris Mcdonnell was very helpful and professional when dealing with us. He was supported by John and Manager Richard. Together they made the whole experience enjoyable. Customer service within this department is a credit to the Kia brand and deserves every creditation.

PENTAGON Motor Group Sheffield.

My Hybrid vehicle was involved in a road traffic accident.
My car was sent to Pentagon Motor Group, Sheffield to be repaired.
On returning my vehicle, it was found that the Hybrid electrics were playing up, which I believed was caused by the accident.
Pentagon mechanics took the vehicle back and checked the electrics fully. Several faults were found, but checks showed that it was not related to the accident.
Obviously being a complete layman in regards to hybrid vehicles, i found it hard to believe that it was not related to the accident.
This is where I got to know mechanics Darren Hunt and Jack.(second name not know).
Talk about ambassadors to the company.
No enquiry was to small or insignificant in relation to what questions I had or threw at them.
4 times I took my vehicle back into Pentagon regarding electric problems, and every time Darren was there checking through the system in front of me and explaining what needed to be sorted.
I was even provided with a hire car free of charge over the New year break while they continued to look into the problem.

Never once did I feel that I was being a problem for them while they tried to sort out the ongoing problem.
In the end the problem was sorted thanks to Darren’s persistence and knowledge.

What an ambassador Darren has turned out to be, and I will definitely be returning to Pentagon for any work needed for my vehicle,

I bought a car at Wauxhall

I bought a car at Wauxhall. I had problem after problem. I have to take my car to wauwhall make me wait 6 hours then they say to come back and pick my car up later the next day. I thought buying a car from dealer i will trust no way

Confusing service interval

I was called by Pentagon Kia to book my 1 year old car in for service. I didn't book and decided to check. It is an electric EV3 and the service interval is actually 2 years or 20,000 miles. This is very confusing.

I visited the Kia dealership in…

I visited the Kia dealership in Mansfield today regarding an issue with my Kia EV3. The concern was clearly visible panel gaps on the front doors and a noticeable misalignment/protrusion at the front of the vehicle.

After a brief inspection, the technician stated that this was “acceptable tolerance.” I strongly disagree. This is a brand-new car, and visible body panel gaps and misalignment should not be considered acceptable under any tolerance.

What was most disappointing was how quickly the issue was dismissed, without any detailed technical explanation or proper investigation. The explanation given felt generic and unconvincing. It gave me the clear impression that the technician assessing the vehicle lacked sufficient experience, particularly when it comes to body alignment and build quality issues.

Buying a new car with visible defects and being told that this is “acceptable” is simply not acceptable. Customers expect higher standards and more competent technical assessments from an official Kia dealership.

Based on this experience, I have lost confidence in the level of technical expertise at this dealership.

Excellent 1 Star

Fantastic service. After battling through the IVR and finally reaching a cheerful-sounding chap, he promptly hung up the moment I mentioned I was looking to buy a new car.
The second attempt was even better. I somehow ended up in the body shop, where they helpfully transferred me… to the local takeaway. Sadly, they were closed, so I had to leave a message.

Appalling Service and MOT wait time

UPDATE
Today I received a follow up courtesy phone call from Kyle (Service Manager) in response to my complaint. Kyle listened fully to my complaint and was very apologetic stating it was not acceptable to wait over 7 hours for a service and MOT when a 4 hour slot had been booked. I was pleased to have the follow up conversation with Kyle who went above expectations in resolving my complaint. Thank you

Service and MOT booked 3 weeks ago for today ( 18/11/2025).I would’ve preferred the following week (25/11/25) but there were no 4 hour morning slots available . I specifically booked a 4 - 5 hour slot after sitting for over 6.5 hrs the previous year (2024). I was asked to arrive at Pentagon Kia between 9am - 9:30am ( I did arrive 9:20am.). We went for a walk round town and arrived back at Kia at 2:30pm. This gave the service dept the full 5 hours only to be told they had only just started the MOT and the service needed to be done after that!! Yet again I had been pushed to the end of day despite needing to be finished by 2:30pm - which was noted at booking.
It was 16:50pm before the MOT and service was finished (last out of the service dept) It’s a total disgrace that yet again Kia Pentagon Parkway at Sheffield took 7hrs 20mins to MOT and service my Kia Picanto. Obviously the dealership do not take notice of the requests made by clients when booking. The 4-5 hr appointment I made was for a specific reason not for the sheer fun of it. Frantic phone calls had to be made to ensure afternoon pick up arrangements could be made by other family . Appalling service yet again by Kia Pentagon and such a shame I have purchased their service plans that do not expire until November 2026. I would NEVER recommend anyone for MOT & Service to KIA Pentagon . PLEASE NOTE. THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN HAS DONE AN EXCELLENT JOB but the customer care and attention to requests ignored. VH

Terrible Customer Service Experienced…

Was interested in purchasing a vehicle on their website (through Autotrader), was unable to view in person but they were good enough to send me a video of the car.
Paid a deposit, and liaised with one of their sales executives to arrange payment and delivery.
Due to my work patterns (and sickness), I missed a call to discuss further. However, I placed a further deposit amount on the car as the initial 72 hour window had passed.
Waited for a call back from the sales guy. Nothing received.
Now I find the car has been taken off their site!
Further attempted contact, still nothing.
Two lots of deposit paid, and nothing to show for it.
***UPDATE*** They “put things right for me” by increasing the price of the vehicle I was interested in. No, they did not notify me of the price increase, I viewed it on their website.
Do not trust this company when they tell you that they are looking into your bad review of them. They know someone will come along and buy the vehicle you were interested in before increasing price, so they do not care about your business or providing any positive customer service.

Bought a 24 plate mokka absolutely my…

Bought a 24 plate mokka absolutely my perfect car but after a few problems which I can cope with but after the remote locking system not working right and got told they are waiting for an update but can’t give you a time it could be years…
Then car going into 5th gear at 30 mph and I have to keep taking it out myself….
Went to report it and it was getting booked in ..But the day after was driving it and the engine light came saying engine fault…
Spoke with the manager in the Saturday and said he would book it in on the Monday..
Monday came no phone call so I went down to speak with the manager but I got told he was too busy to speak with me ….
Absolutely disgusting so left without a car for a week now ….
Sheffield pentagon you need to be ashamed when you know I care for my ill mum…

Today

Today, 16th October 2025, I arranged a day off work to take my Jaecoo 7 into the service department at Sheffield for a DAB issue which was scheduled to be repaired under warranty.
I dropped the car off at 8am when the department opened, I was informed it may not be ready till 5pm, which I accepted. At 3:15 pm I went to Sheffield, as I I hadn't heard any update, to be informed it hadn't been done, and eould not be done today. While the young lady on the reception was polite, and professional I feel the same cannot be said for her work colleagues. To expect people to take time off work and be without their car for a full day and still not have the problem resolved is disappointing to say the least.

Vauxhall Corsa charging issues

Took our Vauxhall Corsa in with a charging issue. After around 5 hours they rang and said there wasn’t any fault despite showing them evidence of the issue. Found out they simply plugged a diagnostic machine in which would’ve taken 2 mins. Spoke to the workshop manager who after myself explaining the issue with him said I could leave it with them. I said what would you do with it ?? He shrugged his shoulders and said I don’t know ??
Said he would look into it and despite me make making numerous phone calls and the service reception being rude and telling me nobody from the workshop can come to the phone the problem remains unresolved!!!

Poor service

I would give this 0 star but not the option. I wouldn't recommend this place for a service or repairs. The staff on the desk are unprofessional compare to the service I got last years. They just took my car keys of me, check what I was having done and told me to come back at 5:00pm but not the option. Whereas last year when wetold it in for repairs and service they told me to take a seat and asked if I wanted a drink but got nothing like that this year. Last year it was done about lunchtime so I thought it might be done the same but no. I got back about 3:00pm and I was just passing so thought I would call it, I though the staff member was rude with me and just told me to come back at 5:00pm I can imagine if gotbback at 5:00pm and it hadn't been touch I would have been more frustrated. I found out nothing was done beside wash in which I I thought was ridiculous as they had it for 6 hours already. When I went back to ask again they actually said it wasn't going to be done that day, all they could say sorry it felt like because I'm a woman it can just go to the bottom of the pile and not get done. I walked out in the end. When we booked our car in 2 months ago you would think it would get done that day but no. I was told to leave the car over night or bring it in the next day but I would have to be up early again to bring it in the morning when I didn't want too, it was there fault for not getting it done in the day when they were supposed too. All kept saying it's staff issues, no excuse for me when we booked it in months ago.  I had to walk home another 3 miles walked when i had already walked 5 miles that day, difficult to get public transport there they couldn't see my frustrations. Nothing been done all could say is sorry. I still have no hope it will be done the following day by the time I want, well I was rightbit had been donecwhen i asked it to be done for and wasted another day when I had things to do with the car but of course I couldn't do them difficult to get to thoughs places without a car. My husband has a hospital appointment just hoping it can get there with the car otherwise could be difficult to get there they can be paying for taxis there. I don't trust kia garages anymore,had so many problems with them. So true with the other reviews I have read too. All we got was a new tyre from them as it failed its MOT when they were going to give a clean with it. I'm really stressed and upset over this. I won't be taking my car there again. I don't like being lied to not respected or can't treat customers well like other reviews say the same. We asked our car to be done for 1:00pm the following day but of cause it wasn't got a phone call at 1:00pm saying it has failed its MOT when I asked for it be done then it wasn't as it had failed its MOT and basically was saying I couldn't have the car back. I don't trust a word they say.

Car service

Recently took my car in for a service and the staff were brilliant, in particular Fran on the service desk couldn’t have been any better. My car took longer than expected and I was waiting with my newborn but she kept me informed the whole time and even brought my car round to the door to make it easier for me. I was disappointed my car took so long and hadn’t even been washed and vacuumed like they had offered but I couldn’t wait any longer as had to pick my eldest up from school. Fran was really apologetic about it.

Visited Kia Pentagon in December 2024 to report a faulty hand break (3rd time in 4 years) and was told appointment would be mid January and if I wanted a loan vehicle it would be February, explained last 2 times a hire car was arranged because off parts delay.
Dropped car off on the Tuesday and received a call sating I had a leaking tyre and the cost is £24 to repair and my part had been ordered and job done on Wednesday.
Wednesday contacted serv6to be told part not turned up so it would be Thursday. Thursday rang service to be told no part again,so asked for a more vehicle told i did not qualify and could call and collect my car as long as I signed a disclaimer,as I have no hand break,so agreed as needed transport that weekend ,arrived 30 minutes later to be told. A hire car han been arranged and to go home and wait for a phone call.
No call Thursday and no car,contacted service on Friday to be told car was ordered and it was with head office and to wait for the phone call , Friday teatime rand only got answer machine so I went to a local hire company and paid £240 for the weekend car hire.
Monday phoned service spoke to someone else and they looked into the hire order and a missing code on the order was the reason no hire car,code added and told to wait again for a call,received a call and car was dropped off Tuesday morning.
Following Friday my car was repaired and collected.
No phone calls with updates, or replies to messages left.drove car with no hand break December to January but wanted Disclaimer for not having part to repair the car.
MONDAY Received a call asking me rate the service between 0 and 10 I said 4 and was told a manager would contact me to discuss my problems,ges what no call. Ps Don't ask me about the sales sarga for a new car .

mot retest

took my car in for a mot it failed on a headlight washer they wanted to charge £154 just to find the fault which I found in
5 minutes so I decided to take it home and fix it myself so I asked how long have I got to bring it back I was told 14 days so tried to book it in for a retest the lady on the phone had to ask someone she came back and said it needed to be back within 10 days and you've passed that so I said I was told 14 days she then said I can't get you in until the 11th February it seems like lie and I thought retest was pushed through she wanted me to pay for another mot
I've bought 3 cars there and had all my services there i won't be going back ever now and I want removing from your mailing list as well and I'm going to Motor ombudsman to find out my rights

The availability is the availability

My Kia ev6 was making an unusual noise so I contacted the dealership I got it from. They said I could pop it in for a health check the next day but as I live in Sheffield I opted to try Pentagon Sheffield. I had to request a time slot to take the car in but was pleased that I could take it in 3 days later. The next day I received a call from the customer service team explaining that they couldn’t see the car until 6 weeks time (11th Feb). When I queried why the booking system appeared to have available slots earlier I was told ‘the availability is the availability’. I said I couldn’t live with this and would have to find an alternative to the appointment they were offering elsewhere. ‘No worries’ was the reply. Needless to say I won’t be using Kia Sheffield for anything.
